"Hey, baby!"

"Hey!"

(Y/n) flushes as she hears Aidan snicker on the other end of the call, smiling as she sat at the table in her works Team Cafe.

"I'm guessing you're working."

"I'm on break at the moment but yeah."

The brunette could hear other people chattering in the background and he hopes his girl had something to eat.

"Did you eat?"

"I did. A little yeah. What's up though?"

"What, can't I call my lovely girl and hear her voice?"

Aidan smirks when he catches (y/n)'s breath hitch.

"Are you getting off work soon?"

"In like half an hour."

"Where are you?"

"I'm at the theatre by the exhibition centre. There's a concert on tonight. Aren't you at work?"

"...I was..."

"What do you mean 'was'?"

"I may or may not have left..."

"What do you mean you left work!? Why are you skipping!? Aren't you going to get into trouble!?"

"It's not like that, we're a bit ahead of schedule and the crew thought we could do some of tomorrow's shots but I told them I wasn't going to pull an all night. We can do it tomorrow according to schedule and I left."

"You just left? Like that?"

"Yep! And I'm coming to see you!"

"Wait-don't-" 

(y/n) gasps as the call ends, gawking at the device until she gets shaken awake by her supervisor that her break had ended. She put the dirty dishes away and rushed back upstairs to her post, serving the customers their alcohol and hot food. "Hello, how can I help you?" She says on autopilot, looking up and gasping when she sees her boyfriend standing in front of her with a smirk on his face.

"Hello to you too darling." Aidan winks at his flustered girl, noticing her other coworkers grinning at her as well. "Is it possible to take you to go instead?" He grins as she groans in embarrassment.

"What are you doing here?" (Y/n) moves to serve the next customer when her boyfriend stands to the side to let her work but still talks to her, admiring her speed and focus to easily get through the long line by herself. He for sure knew he didn't have the hand, eye and ear coordination to do all this!

"I came to pick you up after work. That's what boyfriends are supposed to do."

"You both are such cuties." An elderly lady his girl served grinned at the couple before walking away.

"I get off in like twenty minutes. But do you want anything?" She nods to the fridge behind her.

"Maybe just some water." She gives him a thumbs up and takes a bottle out, safekeeping it at the bottom to take home. "Wait, you can just take them?" He gasps softly and she nods, her eyes lifting up to know she was smiling behind her mask.

"I'm not allowed back in here so I'll meet you outside?"

"I'll see you soon baby." Aidan walks back out and (y/n) turns to her colleagues who were wriggling their brows at her.

"Your boyfriend?"

"Maybe..." she flushes and they gasp.

"You two are adorable!" She thanks them and tells them how they first met at the end of September online, then again in person in October at a club, how she spent a month with him in November before coming home before December but still texting him through to January, going back to stay with him in Canada for a couple weeks from the end of January to February. They had started dating in January but confirmed to be girlfriend and boyfriend a couple days before Valentine's. Now it was June so it had been four months the couple had been together. Four beautiful months

"(y/n), time to clock off." the supervisor comes and takes over for her as the girl signs off, saying goodbye to her coworkers while grabbing he boyfriend's bottle of water. She runs down to the lower level to her locker to change out of her uniform and into her normal clothes, chucking them in the laundry basket and dashing out of the building.

(y/n) sends a picture to Aidan of where she was, her walking around without paying attention to her surroundings and causing her to bump into someone. "You really should look up every now at then." the brunette holds onto his girl gently and smiles down at her as she grins when she sees him.

"Hey." she hugs him and he squeezes her back just as happily, stepping back to hold her hand as she passes him his bottle.

"You actually got me the bottle!"

"Yeah... you asked for it?"

Ok, maybe picking up on sarcasm is not her strong point but that's still cute.

He smiles at his girl in appreciation knowing she was only looking after him. "So what do you want to do?" she asks him and he shrugs. "Do you want to go back home?"

"...no not really. I just want to be with you." Aidan looks at (y/n) softly as she flushes.

"Do you... want to come home with me then?" his eyes widen as excitement flurries through him.

"Yes!" he wanted to see his girl's life, see her being comfortable and as herself with him in her own home. Plus he just wanted to see what cute things she might have in her home. "Let's go!" he tugs his girl closer and they walk to the station together, catching a direct train back to her suburb. He was shocked to see how long she had to travel for just to get home or get to work. "You weren't joking when you said you come home late. This is crazy!" he looks up at how packed the trains were, shifting closer to his girl in the three-seater so no one else goes near her. He drapes an arm around her shoulders, pulling her in to let her rest against him when a strange woman sits down on the spare seat next to him. "Tired?" he muses softly to his girl as he brushes her hair back, trying to ignore the girl next to him who was trying to get his attention.

"A bit but you're just comfy..." (y/n) says, opening her eyes with a smile but it falters when she sees this girl talking to Aidan.

"I would really appreciate it if you keep your voice down. My girlfriend just got off work and she's tired." Aidan hisses at the girl and she shuts up finally, turning his entire attention on his girl who hides her face against his chest. Her heart was all jumpy and her chest felt all fluttery from happiness hearing her boyfriend call out this random girl for her. It really did make her feel special. "You're blushing beautiful." he smirks, brushing his thumb against her red cheeks.

"Shut up..." he laughs softly at how she mutters in embarrassment. The train ride went on without trouble, the couple whispering to each other about what they did today. "Ok, we're here!" his girl gets up and he follows her down the steps, her gasping in shock when the train jerks and she flies off the top steps but lands safely on her feet.

"(y/n)!" the brunette gasps with worry as she looks at him in shock.

"Holy shit that was close!" he walks down to her and checks that she was ok but she urges him that she was fine before quickly grabbing his hand and pulling him out onto the platform before the doors close. She leads him out of the station and out the stairs. "Welcome to my suburb!" she throws her hands up in excitement and he laughs happily. "Let's go, I live close by so we can just walk. Do you want anything? We got multiple food stores here. Ramen, udon, there's a cafe, curry and idli or dosa, there's Maccas too if you want anything."

"(y/n), I'm perfectly fine. Let's get you home." Aidan follows (y/n) while she held his hand, holding her umbrella over the two of them to avoid the heat. It was drastically different from Bondi where it was more open and full of people but here it was quieter but congested with cars driving all over the place. He waited as his girl took her keys out to an apartment building they walked towards opposite a park and a mosque. He loved the area since it was full of families and children playing in the park, a safe environment for his girl to walk back home too.

No wonder she doesn't feel as scared walking home after her late shifts.

"So this is our place. Our apartment unit is on the ground floor. We have to be careful about that cause anyone can walk around and get into the house if we forget to close our balcony doors." he gawks at her as she opens the door for him, letting him walk into the house first before she does. "Shoes off." she nods to him and the both of them take their shoes off to set them aside amongst the long line of other different shoes.

Thank god me and mum cleaned up the house yesterday for the realtor checkup this morning...

It was quite dark but she opens the blinds to let in some of the light. "Is that you as a baby!?" The brunette gasps when he sees the baby photos on the wall and his girl gasps to block his view. "You're adorable!" he coos at her baby pictures where she was laughing in a barrel, a flower crown on her head.

"Stop! No!" she turns him around and sits him down on the couch as he chuckles. 

"Is that your little sister up there too?" he asks and his girl nods.

Aidan looks around the small but very cozy apartment, getting up to look around while his girl was in the kitchen. He looked at the shelves of books knowing most of them belonged to his girlfriend, at the wardrobe full of stuffed toys that her mum had kept over the years, the old DS and Wii games and random knick-knacks.

"Oh my god it's your bike with the cute basket!" he gasps, seeing the bike set behind the dining table, ringing the bell and chuckling softly.

"Do you want to take a shower?" (y/n) asks Aidan as she was making him some coffee and herself some tea.

"Well... yeah... had a really tiresome day today." he nervously rubs the back of his neck and his girl smiles warmly.

"Come on." she leads him to a cupboard and takes out a fresh towel for him, taking him-well checking the spare bedroom first since that's used to put out the laundry-to the guest bedroom where the bathroom for the shower is. "Showers in there, ignore the toner shampoo, that's for my dyed hair but there is soap and other shampoos as well. Let me grab you some clothes." the brunette sits on the bed and smiles when he sees his flannel folded up and set aside nicely while his girl passes him some grey track pants and an Artic Monkeys shirt.

"You have a shirt for this band!?" he gasps, in awe as he looks over it.

"Oh! Yeah, my mum got it for my sister since she's a huge fan. She hasn't worn it yet since she wants to keep it as band merch."

"But I can wear it?"

"It's clothing, you're supposed to wear it." his girl shrugs and he chuckles, standing up and carrying everything in his arms.

"Thank you." he pecks her lips sweetly as she smiles at him.

"I'll warm up something for you to eat once you're done. Now go on and relax." she urges her boyfriend into the bathroom before she walks off.

The brunette smiles warmly as he freshens up, sighing in relief at getting clean after today's major active scene. He got dressed and sighs blissfully at the floral scent that surrounds him, familiarising it with his lovely girlfriend before walking back out to her while drying his hair. He saw her set down bowls of different curry rice and he immediately gets excited. He loved her aunt's food and missed eating it so to see more of it made him extremely hungry.

"Go ahead, it's mostly the same thing my aunt made but with mum's twist. I'm going to go take a shower." she kisses the top of his head when he sat down, passing by him and he melts from her affection.

"God she's perfect..." Aidan sighs out blissfully as he watched her go to the bedroom before she shut the door, hearing the shower turn on soon after and he eats to his heart's content.
