"Aidan-"

"-just talk to me please!" Aidan saw how (y/n) fisted her hands, closing her eyes to try and not lash out. He knew that she was holding back, holding back from screaming and breaking things. He knew that she didn't want to scare him off but if she needed to break things he would let her. "(Y/n) please-"

"-I can't..." she breathes out, sounding so exhausted, so tired that it scared him. She couldn't even lash out from being so emotionally tired. The brunette purses his lips and nods, standing up. His girl thought that he was leaving her and she wanted to crawl into a corner and disappear but in fact, he was making her hot chocolate and coffee. He set the cups down on the bedside table and climbed back into bed beneath the blankets, laying his back against the headboard and pulling his girl right up to his chest. "Aidan don't-I don't want to hurt you-" she didn't want to crush him with her weight but he pulls her close anyway.

"You're not going to hurt me." He leans forward to press his chest against her back, holding her hands and wrapping their arms around her tightly to make her feel protected. An arm around her shoulder and one around her waist, holding her tight beneath the blankets that were ditched up by their legs. She sat between his legs, afraid to move until he leans his head against her shoulder which makes her submit into his arms.

Aidan wasn't going to leave (y/n) until she was alright again.

Aidan breathes out as softly as he opens his eyes from the nap he had taken, looking down at his arms to see (y/n) laying on his chest sound asleep. She looked more peaceful like this, her head laying against his shoulder as she lightly held his shirt and he rubs her back to soothe her awake. He turned his head and checked the time to see that he had to get up for work but he didn't want to.

He just wanted to stay here...

He reluctantly pulls away, carefully moving from under his girl and gently setting her to sleep on her pillow as he went to the bathroom to freshen up and change. He walked out of the bathroom, checking that she was still asleep and walked over to press a lingering kiss on her head, slowly pulling away to leave the room for the set.

The day had dragged on way too slow for the boy who rushed home after he was done with his scenes immediately after, not even staying to talk to the rest of the cast. He carefully walked into his hotel room to not scare his girl who he thought might still be asleep but he saw her packing up her belongings in her suitcase.

She's leaving tomorrow...

Aidan remembered and his mood falls. "Sorry for the mess... just trying to get everything ready so I don't have to do anything tomorrow..." she mumbles out, sorting through all her stuff. "Is it ok, if your mum keeps some of this winter stuff? I'm not sure if I can take it back."

"Yeah... but we need to talk." the brunette says, (y/n) looking at him with slight worry.

"Ok..." she holds his hand as he pulls her up, the couple sitting in the bed. "I get it that you want to break up. Long distance and all-"

"-what? No!" He exclaims, his girl looking at him in surprise. "I know that you have to go back home and that it's going to be hard but that doesn't mean I want to break up with you. I want to try, you promised we would try (y/n)..."

"I do Aidan... I'm sorry..." Even though they were together, (y/n) found it hard that anyone would want to be with her.

"I don't want you to push me away. We'll keep trying ok." Aidan frowns at her as she looks away with doubt.

What could he do to prove to her that he wanted to be with her?

He looks to his drawer and quickly gets up, opening it up to grab the jewellery box before sitting down in front of his girl who looked up at him with confusion. "Aidan, I thought you promised you wouldn't-"

"-I know but this was before I made that promise to you." he opens up the box to reveal the elegant silver necklace, taking it out and holding it in his hands. "I got this for you. So even when we are thousands of miles apart, there's still a piece of me with you..." he smiles as he passes to his girl who blinks back her tears, adoring the necklace with a soft look in her eyes as she gently ran her thumb to trace the letter A.

"It's beautiful Aidan... but I don't have anything for you..." that made her upset and he shakes his head.

"You don't need to get me anything. I wanted to give you this. I didn't know when and I thought this would be the perfect time. Will you be my girlfriend (y/n)?" she looks up at him in surprise, getting a sudden whiplash of emotions.

"I..." Aidan nodded to the necklace (y/n) was holding, taking it from her and clipping it around her neck for her as she held her hair up.

"I know you're new to this, I know that you may not know what to say so we'll take it slow. Will you have me as your boyfriend?" he asks his girl who couldn't comprehend the question, freezing up. Her heart wanted to say yes but her mind said no.

"I... I need to think..." she clutches the necklace for safety suddenly getting up and running out of the room leaving the brunette heartbroken on the bed.

He waited and waited for her for hours, pacing the room for when she would come back but she didn't and he took that as a sign of no. He didn't sleep that night, the dawn creeping over for the new day as he forced himself to freshen up and get ready for work. No one approached the furious boy as he stormed into the set, questioning why he looked so upset and not realising the girl he really liked turned him down. As soon as he was about to turn around the corner to get to the set, a voice calls out for him.

"AIDAN!" he turns around to see a blur dash into him, quickly catching them in his arms as they jumped to hug him. "Yes!" he wheezes from the tight hug and looks down to see his girl smiling up at him and his heart jumped.

"Yes? Yes as in-"

"-yes, I want to be your girlfriend. I want to go out with you and date you and-"

"-YES!" Aidan gasps and spins (y/n) around in his arms happily at the news but quickly set her back down on her feet when he realised that she was actually with him and not at the airport. "Your flight! I didn't see you at all last night after you left the room, or this morning and I was worried and didn't know what to do-"

"-I had to run back to find you!" she pants out like she had been running a marathon, scrambling to grab a box from her pocket and opening it up. "You can wear it as a necklace or as a bracelet, it has a clip for either way and it has my initial as a charm like the one you gave me. Also it's an early valentines gift and-" she stops rambling when he pulls her into a tight hug, realising that his girl had run out to try and find him a matching piece of jewellery like the one he got her so he would have a piece of her with him.

"You didn't have to-"

"-bullshit! Of course, I did!" he laughs at her words, seeing how serious she was and presses a kiss on her cheek while mumbling thank you before taking the necklace.

"It's beautiful (y/n)." she signals him to turn around and he does, crouching down in front of her so she could put the necklace on and hide it beneath his suit. He stands back up and turns around to hug her again, not wanting her to go but he knew she had to. "I'm going to miss you."

"I'm going to miss you too..." the couple hugged each other tightly until they slowly let go, inching away from each other and waving goodbye.

"Call me when you get home safe (y/n)."

"Will do-wait! One more thing Aidan!" she calls out to him, rushing back and his world spins when she pulled him down by his tie to press her lips against the corner of his in a lingering peck. She didn't know how to kiss and it took every ounce of her will and courage to do that before pulling away with red cheeks. "I'll see you again soon Gallagher..." she smiles at him before running away and the boy completely melts as he gently touches the place where his girl kissed him. A loopy smile appears on his face, still feeling the tingles of when she kissed him and the softness of her lips against his skin.

She kissed me...
