"Look who's back." Aidan muses when he hears the door open, turning around in his chair to see (y/n) slowly walk into the hotel room with her nose in her book. He chuckles while seeing her weave around the beds and towards him, finally taking her attention away from her book and on him.
"You're back early." she smiles at him and lets him pull her closer as he holds her hip, leaning against the chair armrest.
"Wasn't as much to do for me today so I came back but you weren't here. Where were you?"
"I was upstairs reading. There's a rooftop pool!"
"Really? You didn't go swimming?"
"Nah, didn't feel like it. There were too many people in the pool. I just read on one of those loungers in the shade." she sets her book down on the table, sitting lightly on the armrest as her arm drapes over the back of the chair. The brunette flushed from how close she was, looking up at her as she looked over the equipment he was setting up for his live. "Going live soon?" she was fascinated by the different devices, wondering why you would need all that when you could use a phone. Then again, she doesn't vlog so that's not her area of expertise.
Aidan hums, distracted by how (y/n)'s baggy shirt falls over on one arm and he kisses her shoulder before answering her. "Yeah. Thought why not. It's been a while."
She immediately gets up and grabs her book. "I can leave you then-"
"-stay. It'll be fine. They won't see you." the brunette quickly holds his girl's hand to keep her with him but she shakes her head and pulls away.
"You know I don't want to risk it-"
"-oh hey everyone!" Aidan suddenly says and (y/n) immediately drops to the floor. She bites back her pain as she hits the floor, laying her head against the carpet and rubbing her chest. She turns back over her shoulder to sneer at the boy who snickers lightly, glancing down at her and goes back to his live like nothing happened.
This ass!
Why didn't tell me he was on!?
The brunette turns around in his seat, pretending to just spin around but he was holding back his laughter when he sees his girl army crawl across the floor with her book in hand. She threw things at him in annoyance, them hitting the back of his chair when he turned back around and carefully moves the camera away to face the wall behind him. She notices that the camera wasn't facing her and gets up in a crouch, crab-walking to the front door to leave and head back up to the rooftop pool again for a couple hours.
(y/n) I'm sorry.
I miss you.
Come back downstairs,
please.
I ended the live earlier
than usual so you can
come back.
(y/n) had her ringer off and was listening to music while she read, completely missing the spam of messages that Aidan had been sending her. The sun had set and the night occupied her as she looked up at the stars twinkling between the tall skyscrapers. The rooftop pool lit up with crystal blue lights, illuminating the roof and making it feel like she was inside a cave with the other hotel buildings towering over her. It felt comforting especially since she was alone at the pool. Praying that no one else joined, she set her book down on the lounge and went for a swim.
Aidan frowned as he got out of the elevator to the rooftop pool, opening the door and walking up the stairs to the gates. He thought (y/n) was ignoring him but he stops when he sees her floating on her back above the water. She looked so calm with the music playing loudly and he realised that her phone was probably on silence. He opens the gate and walks past, his girl turning her head to see him and he takes his shirt off to slip into the water with her. She flushes heavily and hides beneath the water, cursing herself for wearing a white shirt as it clung to her.
"Are you mad?" the brunette swims towards his girl and she shakes her head. He gasps when she splashes him, sputtering against the water.
"Not anymore I'm not." she giggles and he grins at her, watching her swim away and do a couple laps in the pool. He did the same on the other side, relaxing against the wall after and she joins him. (y/n) tries to make herself look decent, fixing her shirt while Aidan relaxed in the warm water that balanced out the cold breeze. He chuckles as he looks over at his girl who dunks down further to avoid the wind, looking up at him sheepishly. "How was the live?" she asks him as he pulls her close beneath the water to keep her warm.
"Fun. Everyone was asking whether or not I would miss Toronto and of course, I would. I could say that 'ah, I remember when I was here! I was here for four years for TUA! I was Number Five!"
"Was..." the brunette looks down at his girl who pouts.
"Yeah..." even he was upset but life goes on like this.
"What do you think you think you'll be doing next?"
"Hopefully be a part of more amazing projects. Bring characters to life. Work on my music too."
"Whatever you wanna do I'm all here for it." Aidan smiles at (y/n)'s words.
"And I'll be the same. Whatever and whenever, I'm there by your side."
"Really?"
"Really." he kisses the top of her head, noticing her shivering and he decides it's best to get out of the pool. "Let's go. you're freezing." they waddle to the stairs and he gets up first, turning around to help his girl but his face turns pink when she walks out. Her shirt clung to her, a thin see-through fabric now because of the water and she quickly pulls it taught off her. "You can wear my shirt." Aidan picks up his shirt, passing it to (y/n) and turning around to give her privacy while he went to grab her stuff. She quickly took off her wet shirt and her bra, wrapping it up to stay hidden before putting on his shirt.
"Done." she calls out and he turns around to come back to her and hold her hand, walking to the elevator and going down to their room.
"You warm up first, you're shivering." he urges his girl to shower first when they step foot into their room and she nods, grabbing her things and heading into the bathroom. The brunette made some coffee and hot chocolate for the both of them, setting the cups down on the table as soon as his girl comes out wearing warmer clothes. "I made you some hot chocolate."
"Thank you!" she beams at him and he smiles, grabbing his clothes and heading into the bathroom to warm up. He gets out once he was done, drying his hair with a towel and hearing music.
Aidan smiles seeing (y/n) hum into her cup of hot chocolate, swaying to the song on her phone which changed as she scrolled through TikTok. He walks up to her and hugs her from behind, turning her around in his arms after she put her cup and phone down.
"What are you doing?" She chuckles as he pulls her away from the counter, grabbing her arm to loop around his neck as he swayed them to the song. She hides her face against her chest as he holds her closer by her waist, looking down at her softly as she played with his hair and tucked it behind his ear. Her simple touch made him feel so warm, his cheeks turning pink as she moves to hold them in her hands. He couldn't help but smile so wide as her thumbs brushed against his cheeks, looking up at him with such adoration. "You're very pretty..." she blushes from her confession and he laughs softly, leaning his head against her shoulder.
"You're prettier." Aidan hums out. "Now, do you want to watch a movie or do you want to eat first?"
"Eat but can we make something?" (Y/n) asks and he leans back.
"Of course, we can. How does pumpkin risotto sound?"
"Really good!"
"Let's go shopping then." The couple put on simple hoodie jumpers, not bothering to change clothes as they layered up for the cold to head out to the shops outside. They made sure they were masked up to hide from the paparazzi, holding hands and walking to the shops.
Aidan showed (y/n) what they needed to get for their dinner, getting the butternut pumpkin, risotto, olive oil, sage, vegetable stock, vegan butter, onion, white wine and vegan Parmesan cheese.
"Tough that you can't drink yet but I can." His girl muses as she holds up the bottle of wine and he rolls his eyes playfully as she puts it back in the trolley.
"Do you like wine?"
"Nah, not really. I don't like drinking at all. Only when I'm out with friends. I don't do it leisurely. I hate the taste."
"Really? Well, what kind of drink do you go for when you're out?"
"I prefer sweeter things so cocktails. I like the sweet drinks to power out the alcohol."
"You really don't like the taste huh." The brunette chuckles, walking around a bit with his girl when she asks if she could push the trolley and he nods. He coos at how cute she was being all excited to push the trolley, asking him if he wanted to sit in it but he shook his head.
Maybe another time when there weren't as many people in the store.
They grabbed whatever else they thought they needed, (y/n) paying for the groceries while Aidan packaged them in his reusable bags. "This is like my first time actually buying groceries. It's such an odd feeling." She pipes up, helping him carry the bags back to the hotel. "It's kinda fun!" The brunette smiles at his girl, opening the door for her when they get to their room and they carefully set the bags in the kitchen before washing their hands. "Ok, so what do we do?"
