Aidan and (y/n) smile at each other warmly and finish off their lunch while they chatted, heading to one final store for the gloves with the girl's arm looped around the brunette's. "Do you need anything?" She asks him and he shakes her head, following her along as she searched for gloves with pads so she can still type on her phone.

"How about these?" Aidan holds up some button-up gloves that had the pads (y/n) was looking for. "Waterproof on the outside and warm on the inside."

"Oh, these are perfect!" She gasps happily and claps his hand before shaking it. He looks down at her in amusement but lets her take the gloves from his hands to go off to pay. "Ok, I'm all good to go!" She comes back running, giving him a thumbs up and he can't help but adore the hidden essence of childishness in this girl who was always calm and mature.

"Movie marathon at home?"

"Hell yeah! We still didn't finish the Saw Series!" The two head home quickly to avoid the cold, rushing into the house once they got back and shedding their sweaters before splitting away to freshen up and change into their pjs.

"Did you bring your projector!?" Aidan yells out from downstairs and he earns a loud yes, looking behind him to see (y/n) walking down the stairs carefully with her box. "Woah!" He rushes up to her to catch her when she stumbles, holding her waist and shoulder tightly before guiding her down the stairs. She was turning red from his touch, quickly moving away to set up the projector as he links his laptop to it. He had turned the couch around to face a blank wall, setting up blankets and pillows and snacks for their marathon. Everything was ready and set up and the two jumped beneath the blankets to watch the movie, the shirt day turning to night quickly.

Aidan tried to pay attention to the movies but all he wanted to do was pay attention to (y/n) as she sat next to him, clutching a pillow on her lap and hiding her eyes behind her hands when scary parts show up. He chuckles at how she tried to continue watching the film between her fingers like this, jumping at the jump scares and flinching at gruesome bloody scenes while she continued to smack on her popcorn.

She's so cute...

"Oh shit!" She yelps and jumps, almost smacking the brunette in the face and she gasps. "I'm so sorry!" He laughs lightly when he caught her fist, amused at her fight or flight defences which were obviously fight.

"That would've been a strong right hook." He muses, patting her hand to relax her hand.

"Tell my sister that. I did the same thing to her by accident."

"You punched your sister!?"

"By accident, I swear! We were watching a horror movie and it just slipped!"

"Remind me not to get on your bad side." Aidan jokes, hooking his arm around (y/n) to ease her against him and she relaxes against him while the two watched the rest of the film calmly until the next one.

"Look how cute they are!" Lauren whispers to her husband who snaps pictures of the two kids sleeping against each other on the couch. Rob nods in agreement, turning off their devices and cleaning up their snacks. "Should we wake them up?" His wife asks him.

"I don't think we need to." He whispers back seeing his son wake up.

Aidan groans softly and moves to sit up but stops when he feels a weight on his shoulder, looking down to see (y/n) sleeping on him. She had curled into him for warmth, one of her arms wrapped around a pillow and the other on his lap. He was holding that hand on his lap. He squeezes her hand softly, trying to move without waking her up and manages to get up from the couch. He was about to pick her up and carry her to bed but she woke up and sits up straight. She wacks his hands away and grumbles something about being too heavy for him to pick her up and stands up from the couch to start cleaning it.

Aidan looks to his parents in confusion and they shrug as they watch (y/n) clean up the mess the two of them made. "(Y/n), don't worry about it. We'll clean it up tomorrow." He pulls her away from the couch and she looks up at him sleepily with a frown. "It's not a problem. Let's go to sleep."

"But the couch-"

"-sleep." He urges her, holding her shoulders to lead her back up to her bedroom. As soon as she walked in, he head downstairs to clean up the couch with his parents.

"She's a peach to help clean but tell her she's our guest. She doesn't have to do it." His mother tells him and he smiles wearily at her.

"She's just wired that way, mum. She's the carer in her family."

"You look after her Aidan." His father tells him and he nods.

Days had gone by where (y/n) and Aidan spent their time together indoors to stay out of the cold, reading together, singing together or having their marathon together. It was the most relaxed the brunette had been in a long while. Though he opposed to being lazy and not doing anything-besides recording and editing his youtube videos of his daily life-he enjoyed the quiet time to rest his body before being thrown into long hours of filming and stunts. He would've loved being huddled with his 'friend' much longer beneath the blankets but he noticed that she had become restless, mentioning how she had been sitting down on her ass for too long. So when the final days of their break started getting warmer, he planned a short trip for the two of them before they head off to Toronto.

"(Y/n)!" Aidan slams her bedroom door open and expected to see her on her bed watching Netflix but he didn't see her until he saw an arm shoot up from the floor before it drops back down.

"I'm down here." He snickers and leans over to see her laying on the floor with her book on her face.

"Why are you down there?" He walks over and leans down next to her.

"I'm bored." She sighs and takes her book off, setting it down next to her. "Plus my back is hurting from bending over and reading."

"Well, I can help with your first issue. Let's go canoeing!"

"But it's cold outside!"

"But it's warmer now. You know the island I was talking about, it's the best spot since it's more sunnier compared to Seattle. So let's go!" He grabs her arm and pulls her up so she's sitting, helping her up on her feet.

"How are we getting there?"

"By ferry."

"Oh, you should've told me beforehand. I get motion sickness. Do you have any Panadol?" Aidan looks at (y/n) in confusion as she starts packing a bag for the day out, making sure to bring extra pair of clothes in case she tips over into the water.

"Panadol?"

"Multi relief? Pain killer, soreness, aches, motion sickness, stomach pains? Do you have something similar to that?"

"Ah! Tylenol! Yeah, we have some."

"Ok, we're good to go then."

"We'll go in an hour?" Aidan starts inching back out of (y/n)'s room to his to pack and she nods.

"An hour ok." She gives him a thumbs up and he rushes out to pack his clothes. The two rush to get ready and head downstairs, the brunette roaming around the kitchen to pack a picnic when his 'friend' comes over to him. "What's this?" He shrieks in surprise and turns to look at her as she grins at him.

"Don't creep up on me like that!"

"Sorry. Can't help it. It's a skill of mine. So what's with the picnic basket?" (Y/n) peers over Aidan's shoulder to see that he was packing some drinks and making some sandwiches and snacks.

"In case we get hungry you know." He tries to play it off and she shrugs, not wanting to push him. "Is there anything you want to eat?"

"I really like that beetroot hummus."

"Already in here." He smiles at her, and she beams in excitement making his heart jump. "The Tylenol is on the counter with some water."

"Oh, thanks, Aidan!"

"Give me a few more minutes (y/n) and we can go." She nods as she doesn't one of the tablets with the water.

"Want me to our bags in the car?" She washes the cup and puts it on the drying rack.

"Actually yeah, thanks (y/n)." He throws her the car keys and she catches them, taking their bags and heading to the garage to put them in the back seat. Once she did that, he comes out with the picnic basket all ready and sits it down on the floor so it doesn't tip. They get in the car and drive off, singing to the music on the radio until they get to the pier and park the car before getting out.

Aidan and (y/n) carry their bags with them, the latter following the former since she didn't know her way around getting on a ferry in Seattle. Aidan paid for their tickets secretly while (y/n) was watching the ferry dock, him standing with her and showing the tickets to the guard to let them in.

"Where do you want to sit? Do you want to go to the top?" He asks her and she nods, heading up the stairs to the top deck where they put down their stuff on two chairs. He stays with the bags as she rushes over to the side to watch the water but she comes back and sits down on the chair when she feels nauseous. "Feeling sick?"

"Yeah..."

"Do you want to eat anything?"

"I think that might make it worse... I don't think the Tylenol kicked in on time."

"You can lean on me if you want."

"It's ok. It's not too bad." (Y/n) flushes, trying not to focus on how the boat moves forward through the water, tilting left and right continuously. Her stomach starts to feel less twisted and eases, feeling more comfortable that she stands up.

"Better?" Aidan asks, seeing her nod and he stands up with their stuff to stay near the ledge since she wanted to watch the boat travel across the water. She leans her chin on her hands, watching the water move and crash against the boat as the breeze blows her hair around. He watches her the entire time, simply entranced by her and her love for the simple things in life. He watches her take in a deep breath and he does the same, looking out into the water and breathes out heavily. He feels lighter, almost free and just feels calm around her like nothing else has ever done.
