How's your day going
so far?

Really good actually.
Woke up to my family's
traditional breakfast
and mum, dad and I sat
down to open the gifts
we got each other.

I got dad a new laptop
since his old one
stopped working, I got
mum some new non-
stick pans and I got a
new vlogging camera
from the both of them.

Well, my family doesn't
exchange gifts cause we
don't know what we
want so we just go out
to spend the day
together. Mum, my
sister and I went to
have a picnic at a park
with some of mums
friends and it was so
much! Stayed until the
sun set!

Aidan receives a few videos and watches them with a smile as (y/n) talked about the park and how sunny it was, seeing the blankets laid out with adorable Christmas decor courtesy of her hum, and her mum's friends cooking lunch with a mini gas stove they bought.

Fresh lunch is the best
kind of lunch!

I can see people
canoeing as well.

I wanted to go canoeing
as well but I didn't bring
a hat and it was too hot.
And I forgot to bring
sunscreen.

We can go canoeing
when you come back to
visit. I know a great
spot around an island.

Aidan falters at that less enthusiastic message but continues anyway.

We might go for a family
dinner as well. We have
extended family coming
over to visit us so we will
be having a huge potluck.

Right, I forgot it snows
over there!

Damn, I missed out on
experiencing real snow!

melt by the time I put it

Aidan quickly gets up and leaves his room when (y/n) agrees with him on a message, smirking as he takes a video of the show outside in his backyard.

"Too bad you can't have the real thing."

He grins into the camera, flipping it around as he films the snow falling and picks up some of it from the ground.

"Ok, I'm freezing so I'm heading inside."

He chuckles as he sends the video earning a spam of messages.

Even though it had been a couple weeks, Aidan really missed (y/n). He tried to message her as much as he could if he wasn't busy, the two of them talking long into the night. He wanted to see her again, wanted her to visit him or him travelling to see her but he knew it would be impossible. The new year was coming up and he was going to be very busy with filming. He had his life as an actor and she had her life as an employee and a student. He tried everything to be as close to her as he could, going live on Instagram during times when he knew she would be awake for since she mentioned that she has never seen any of his previous ones because she was asleep.

His fans didn't care about the change in time and he would always keep an eye on the chat to see if she joined and when she does, his whole mood brightens up. He wanted to follow her when she showed him her Instagram page but she asked him not too since that might cause a scandal, sticking to calling and texting with their numbers instead.

(y/n) sends the message along with a video of a hoard of people running and shoving security to get to the harbour to try and see the fireworks. She snickers, watching them high up in a building as she enjoyed her view of the fireworks and filmed them. "Being paid to watch the fireworks for free? Yes please!"

(y/n) smiles warmly at the message, scrolling through their previous chats and she leans her head in her hand as she sees Aidan's picture. His wide smile and that dimple showing up near his two moles.

She didn't want to admit it but she missed him to but this is reality. They were two worlds apart. She was surprised that he was still talking to her. No one knew that she was talking to Aida, keeping his contact under the letter A since she didn't want to get him in trouble with rumours or scandals. Her family didn't know, her friends didn't either. Well except her best friend but she promised to keep it a secret even though she didn't know that this Aidan guy was famous. (y/n) didn't want to tell anyone, even though none of her friends or family knew who Aidan was, she didn't want to risk it still.

I mean the girl had to lie to her dad when he called her when he wanted to see her while she was in Seattle for a month! She didn't tell him she was overseas. Her mum knew though and that was enough for her.

It was strange in a way, but almost normal as well just talking to Aidan as if he wasn't this famous actor. It always startled (y/n) when she would like his posts and he would send a screenshot of his notifications and jokingly text her saying she was stalking him.

The new year was going to be busy for the two of them and a sinking feeling settled, a feeling that their long talks would end up becoming rare and few.

I'm off.

As soon as (y/n) sent that, she got a call from Aidan and she picks up.

"About time!"

"You didn't sleep did you?"

I tried ok. It's 6:30. I'm awake by now anyway."

"No way! Who in their right mind wakes up that early in that god-forsaken time!?"

"Many people!"

Aidan chuckles, rubbing his eyes as before brushing his teeth.

"I could never. Oh my god, the trains are packed. It's so bad..."

He receives a picture and he was shocked to see the entire place filled with people.

"How are you going to get on?"

"I'm going to have to push my way through! People are jumping over the fence too!"

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm tired and pissed off but alright."

Aidan hears her yawn and he frowns at how exhausted she might be.

"I should've brought another can of redbull."

"You're getting addicted to those."

"I know... Ok, I'm on the train. I gotta stand for the next hour damn."

The brunette freshens up and heads to his laptop, putting on some songs to play for his friend who asks him what he was doing.

"Trying to keep you awake."

He chuckles, putting on some 80s rock that he knew she would love since she confessed how she was hooked due to Stranger Things.

"I can talk to you if you like..."

He suggests shyly.

"Can you please."

He smiles when he hears her soft voice, humming for her and talking to her. He vocalised every action he was doing, saying if he was cleaning up his room, changing his clothes or making coffee and his breakfast, and talking about what he was planning to do today. An hour or two had gone by and he hears a silent groan.

"(y/n)? Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I managed to sit down-my friend is calling me. I'll call you. back ok."

He frowns when the call ends abruptly, sitting down on his armchair in front of his laptop as he waited for a call back and he does.

"My friend is meeting back up with me when I get off at my station. We're going home together in an uber."

"That's good. I was worried about you walking home by yourself."

"I don't like too far."

"Still, it's dangerous."

"There are families around, it would've been ok."

"(y/n)..."

He scolds her but chuckles lightly when he heard her giggle.

"Alright, alright. I'm dropping it."

"Is it that same friend that came with you to Seattle?"

"Yep, the very same! Hey!"

"Hey (y/n)! Oh is that your guy friend?"

"Yeah."

"Hey, Aidan!"

"Hi (y/n)'s friend."

Aidan muses, hearing the girls talk about whether or not they're gonna get food.

"Ok, we're in the car and my phone is about to die Aidan."

"I'll let you go. You better get enough sleep (y/n)."

"Of course, I will! Talk later than?"

"Yes. Bye (y/n)."

"Bye Aidan!"
