Everyone finishes up eating and the two decide to go out for a walk when the sun started setting. Aidan leads (y/n) up a deserted hill near his house, chuckling at how she hid under her umbrella to avoid the sun. "You hate the heat don't you."

"Absolutely. I feel like I'm going to melt back at home." she groans out, huffing as she climbed up the hill.

"Here." the brunette holds out his hand for her to hold and she looks at him with wide eyes. She wasn't sure whether to grab it or not but didn't want to be rude, gently taking hold of his hand as he pulls her up to the top. They move to sit down on the grass underneath the umbrella, watching the sunset.

(y/n) took a video of it, setting her phone against her foot as she sat next to Aidan. "Wow. I don't think I've been high enough to see a sunset like this... it's beautiful..." she watches the different hues turn orange, pink and purple, putting her umbrella away when cold winds breeze over her. The brunette watched her, smiling at how she enjoyed the sunset, how she fell in love with the simple things in life. His heart hammers as she moves to lie down on the grass when stars start to show up in the sky and he does the same.

Aidan didn't know why he felt so happy. Sure he went to watch the sun set every now and then but somehow this one felt different. The space around him was warm, his chest full. He looks over at (y/n), wondering how and why their worlds collided like this. Him and his fan, him and his friend, him and... the girl that made everything seem so special.

They watched until it completely went dark, sitting up and deciding to head back home. He held her hand tightly, worried about the two of them slipping but she used her phone's torch to light the way until they got back safely.

"I should head home. My friend is probably wondering where I am. I need to make sure I ain't dead and lying in a ditch somewhere." Aidan laughs at (y/n)'s words, nodding in agreement.

"Yeah, let's not have her come up to my house demanding answers." he snickers, waiting with her until an uber arrived to pick her up. "I'll see you later than?"

"In a couple days. My friend made a week's worth of plans of visiting places and sights." Aidan pouts but nods.

"Then see you after a week?"

"I'll see you in a week Aidan." She smiles at him, and gets into the car.

"Message me when you get home."

"I will!" She yells out as the car drives off, sticking her head out the window and waving him goodbye. The brunette waves back, watching the car until it disappears around a corner and he lets out a heavy sigh, a warm smile on his face as he heads back inside his home.

"Is your friend gone? We didn't try the cake." his mother frowns lightly. "Such a lovely cake too."

"The cake!" Aidan gasps, quickly sending a message to (y/n) when she sends one to him too.

We forgot to eat the
cake!

We didn't eat your cake!

The brunette stops short and laughs, heading to his room.

Aidan grins knowing (y/n) was straightforward and needed confirmation or she would lose her mind.

Aidan didn't know what to type next, deciding to change into his pjs and then sends a text since he still wanted to talk to (y/n).

What's the plan for
tomorrow?

He doesn't get a reply back after an hour and frowns, laying in his bed wondering if he did something wrong until he hears her ringtone.

Sorry, took a shower
and got dressed for bed.

He facepalms at how dumb he was acting.

And It's gonna be an
easy day tomorrow.
Breakfast at a cafe and
then maybe do some
shopping.

My friend booked a spa
day for us two so I can't
wait for that!

I haven't been to a spa

And then we might chill

Aidan waited for a while but didn't receive a message back and thought that (y/n) probably fell asleep until his phone rang. She was calling him and he answered.

"Ok, it's too long to type ok. I had another one before but I resigned cause I wasn't growing as an employee. I knew how to do everyone's job and they stuck me as just being head customer admin supervisor. I didn't have anything to do except sit on my ass in front of a computer pretending to work for 9 hours. I hated it. I wanted to learn."

"I can see that with you. You prefer to be on your feet doing something instead of looking at a screen. Being more hands-on and actually creating something into fruition."

"Exactly!"

"Who are you talking to?"

Aidan hears another voice and figures that it was (y/n)'s friend.

"It's Aidan!"

"Oh hi, nice to meet you Aidan."

"Nice to meet you too. So (y/n), what are you two up to?"

"We're watching a movie on my laptop before we go to sleep.

"What movie are you guys watching?"

"A horror film!"

"This late at night?"

"I can handle it. It's Hereditary so it's not gonna be supernatural horror like deadly clowns."

"So you like horror movies?"

"Yeah! I've watched a lot of well-known ones but I really want to try watching old-school stuff like the Human Centipede or-what's that one with the creepy puppet with the swirly red cheeks?"

Aidan muffles his laughter, adoring how (y/n) describes what she can't remember the names too.

"You mean the Saw movies?"

"Yes exactly!"

"No way you haven't seen those!?"

"No!"

"When you stay over at my place, we are having a Saw marathon! Have you seen the Scream series or the Paranormal activity series?"

"Not all of them. Like one of each."

"Then we're having a marathon for those too!"

"Ok, I'll make sure to bring the popcorn and snacks then. Also, we can watch it on my projector! I brought it with me from home! I'm surprised the airport security let me through with my devices."

Aidan grins happily at the mention of being able to spend more time with (y/n), to see how she reacts watching horror stuff but also excited to use her projector.

"Then that's what we're definitely doing when we come home after exploring."

"Oh, that sounds really good! Just relaxing after a day of sight seeing with movies and snacks."

There was a line of silence until (y/n) speaks up again.

"Hey, thanks for inviting me over Aidan. I had fun today."

He perks up immediately at that, wondering why she was whispering.

"I had fun too. Really. I still can't believe you beat me at Halo. I need to have another round with you!"

"Oh, you're so on! Night or day let me at 'em!"

"(y/n)'s really competitive when it comes to Mario Kart and Just Dance too."

"Girl shut up!"

"Then we need to have a round of Mario Kart and Just Dance then!"

Aidan snickers, hearing (y/n) scolding her friend on the other side. The two talked long through the night, the brunette sharing funny stories that made the girl smile as she listened. He enjoyed hearing her giggles, pushing past his fatigue to try and talk to her more but he yawns out.

"I'll let you sleep, Aidan. I know you're tired. I might actually knock off to sleep too."

He hears her yawn too and he nods.

"Goodnight (y/n)."

"Goodnight Aidan."

The brunette sighs out happily after the call ends, laying back on his bed with a smile on his face.
