Hello, and welcome to Dreamland Raid. What is this, you ask? Well, welcome to the information page, where we will have all of your answers ;)

To summarize, though, this book club is not like any other book clubs you'll typically find. Why? Because this is a book club of discovery throughout all of Wattpad. At one point, it wasn't even a club, but we are added a partner aspect to the club to benefit those who want to discover as well as get some feedback while being discovered themselves.

How does all that insanity work? Well, let's get too it!

⭐ This book club only accepts narrative stories. This means no books under the "random" category allowed. Sorry, but nobody really wants to find the next big "zodiac" or "meme" book U^.^

⭐ This story is also only open to ENGLISH books, and books that you have written YOURSELF! This means that it cannot be AI-created. (Note: grammar assistance AI has a very different usage and is a lot less ethically questionable, so that's fine)

⭐ This is a very unusual club. Half the people you'll have the option to read for didn' even sign up for the club. So, please, keep comments polite. Honestly, reactionary with the occasional helpful remark would probably be best for this club. Want some stuff that's more in depth? We have other clubs better fit for that!

⭐ Despite it being more informal, we still have fairies (admins) that will be checking to be sure you do your work and to update the clubs. They are Cross-Warrior, Ry-reader-29, and -DeeIsDead-. Be sure to respect them.

⭐ You will potentially read books you don't like. Suck it up, buttercup. At most, you'll have to read a single chapter for them, and if they're your partner, you may only be paired with them two or three times in an entire year. Imagine it like speed dating. You're gonna have gross people who made you question how they made it in society come back. Smile, wave, and move on.

⭐ That said... Please don't enter stories just to troll others. I can't imagine people actually doing this, but... People can be dumb and need things placed in the rules...

⭐ Com. Mun. I. Cate. COMMUNICATE!!!! That is the most important thing in ANY of our clubs.

⭐We have a discord for Dreamland. You MUST join it. You can find the link to it in our bio. Apologies, but without a DM system on Wattpad anymore, it is necessary. If you do not have a discord, one is very easy to make.  You must be in the server before you will be accepted!

⭐ You MUST add this book to your library so you see when it updates. We also STRONGLY encourage adding the Dreamland Community book to your library as we post important updates there. We know how easy it is for message board posts to be buried.

⭐ There is a password you will put on the form. It can be found in the FAQ section, so read it as well after this chapter!

⭐ This book club will aim to update every other Sunday around 5PM EST. You have until the Sunday after next at 12PM EST to finish your assignment.

⭐There are THREE sections for every update: A New (author's) Book, an Undiscovered (author's) Book, and an Assignment section. Sometimes it will be two New books and two Undiscovered books. It just depend what I can find each assignment. 

⭐ What I find, you ask? Yes, as I said, this club is about discovery and started as an initiative, but people needed a motivator to participate, so now it's a club! Half of the books you'll be expected to read every week are random books that (usually) I find across Wattpad that deserve more attention because they are looking really good where they currently are and/or have a lot of potential!

⭐ In the third section, you will have a Book of the Week (BotW) and a Pairing. I try to avoid repeat pairings for a while since this is also about you discovering other stories still.

⭐ You are required to read one chapter for your partner. This is the only reading in the club that has a set-in-stone amount you must do.

⭐ Reading for Book of the Week, Undiscovered Books, and New books works differently. Why? Because you are only required to read AT LEAST one chapter from each of these. That first chapter as well as further chapters you read earns you points (rubies) that you can exchange for rewards that are outlined in our Market, including the ability to be Book of the Week.

⭐ To encourage old members as well as new members to go back to older New and Undiscovered books, we also give out points for reading these, though not as much as the current ones. Reading for these will not count toward your bare minimum requirements for the chapter, but it's helpful for helping gain rubies and make your way through books you may have seen and/or enjoyed!

⭐ The point breakdown is as such: New/Undiscovered Book of the Chapter = 10, Book of the Week = 5, New and Undiscovered Book of Past Chapters = 5

⭐ You gain points for each chapter you read, and this includes the one chapter from the New, Undiscovered, and Book of the Week chapters you read to reach your bare minimum, so everyone should have at least 25 points by the end of an update.

⭐ For each chapter you read, you MUST leave 5+ inline comments or a 5+ sentence outline comment. Remember that these should be casual comments, but do not take that to mean they do not require effort. Make sure they show you're actually reading and taking in the chapters (don't just drop emotes, lols, and 1-3 word sentences everywhere).  Please remember this is PER chapter, and not 5+ inlines spread across multiple chapters.

⭐ You will report all reading you do inline next to your name.  Reports should include ALL of the following information: the book title, what type of book it is, and the chapter you read.  This way we know both if you're completing one of the bare minimum parts of the assignments as well as how many points to give.  So a good report will look like this, this an example:

Read chapter 3 for the old Undiscovered Book War of Neytives by pawn-of-space

⭐ You can report multiple readings at once.

⭐ Below your name listing, you will also see how many Rubies you have accumulated prior to this update.  

⭐ To find the old New and Undiscovered books, we have reading lists on the profile that feature them.  There is also a special reading list dedicated specifically to the ones that are completed if that's more your style!

⭐ We understand that people have content they're not comfortable with. You can select if you're okay with Mature content in your form, and if you have mature content in your story. This is the only preference I will concern myself with in pairings.  If the BotW or New/Undiscovered book has such content as well, contact the account and we will try to work something out.

M A R K E T

We have mentioned that you accumulate rubies through your reading, and that is because you have things that you can spend said rubies on!  The items that you can spend the rubies on are listed below:

⭐ Bidding: BotW (must send your bid amount via DM before the deadline, four update cool down between BotW eligibility)

⭐ 500 Rubies: You get to choose one of the books we raid in the next update (they will meet the number criteria still, but it can be anyone besides yourself, so can be someone already in a community, DL included, or even a friend of yours)

⭐ 400 Rubies: Graphic created by -DeeIsDead- 

⭐ 300 Rubies: Five chapters and and commented on (casual comments) by a discord Dream Team member (max of two redeems at once, it would be two different people reading 5 chapters)

⭐ 200 Rubies: Shout out from the Dreamland account + admins on message board of a book of your choice

⭐ 100 Rubies: Social Media Post of a book of choice

⭐ 50 Rubies: You can select your partner for the next update (first come first serve, your Rubies will be returned if someone has requested that person or the person is uncomfy with your content)

⭐ You can sign up for this club as a Reader Only. If you do, you can choose whether you want to also participate in pairings or if you would like to only do the New and Undiscovered books.

⭐ Like the normal members, you can choose to skip due to preference, but if you are a club member, please do so very sparingly.

⭐ If you're a club member? Yes, I said if. Why did I say if? Because technically... People can read the new and undiscovered books just to discover! They don't have to be in the club? Yes, that's right, you can just use this club to find new and awesome books without actually being a member. Still, if you want to let us know you did the books, you can say so just so we see you're around!

⭐ We also have a collection of books we've found in a reading list on our profile! Feel free to look at them to find books as well. 

⭐ Why sign up then? Well, you get the benefit of a special role in the discord if you're there. Also, you get to call yourself one of our Raiders VwV 

⭐ If you are a Raider and you miss an assignment, you will not be put into the next assignment. Don't finish the missed work in that week of the next assignment? We remove you from the club. You will have to re-sign after finishing your missed assignment to return.

⭐ For each missed assignment, you will gain a strike. At three strikes, you are put on probation. This means you are kicked from the club and can only return again after two months. If you hit three strikes again, you're banned from the club forever.

⭐ Strikes fade over time. It will take you completing four consecutive assignments without a strike for the old strike to fade.

⭐ If you need to go on hiatus or need an extension, please do let us know.

⭐ Requests will not be accepted after the due time.

⭐ Extensions last for one assignment (so two weeks). When you finish your extension, please comment in the latest chapter.

⭐ Hiatus last for up to two assignments (so four weeks). When you are ready to come off of hiatus, you will need to comment as such in the latest chapter.

⭐ You can either let me know you need a hiatus through PMs, discord, or in the latest chapter.

⭐ If you fail to complete your extension in a week, you will receive a strike. If you fail to finish your extension in a week and we haven't heard from you, you will receive a strike and be removed from the club. You'll have to re-sign up after completing your missed assignment.

⭐ If you fail to come off hiatus in four weeks, we will remove you from the club. If you had missing work while on hiatus and we remove you, you will also receive a strike. To return, you will have to re-sign up, and if you are returning after missing work on your hiatus, you will have to finish what you missed.
