💫💫Information💫💫

Hello, and welcome to Dreamland Hunt, DreamlandCommunity's newest book club. Yes, this does put us up to four. Yes, we know we are amazing.

For a quick run down of this club, you will have a month to read and comment on 4+ chapters of any of the other entrants (can be the same book or different ones) and 2 chapter of botm, but you can only guarantee that person reads back if you initiate a read exchange, which isn't required.

All good? Great. Let's get into things.

☆ Your admins for this club are Cross-Warrior, JaxCreation, SpruceWolf, Ry-reader-29, Oxviola-DeeIsDead-allrenwrote and ToWolfKin . You do not have to follow us (would be nice though!), but there will be a special thing about our books in the club. Also, treat us all with respect. Don't make us go nightmare mode.

☆ We accept all stories except: random, translations of another person's story, those written in a language other than English, and those that go against Wattpad's guidelines.

☆  Also, we do accept Reader Onlys into this club.

☆ Due to the nature of each chapter and how they are set up, people can only enter one book.  However, people can read other books of yours if permission is first given through PM-ing them or something akin to that.

☆ Be kind and encouraging, whether it be to me, to the admins, or to the other members. You can critique someone in a kind but stern manner. You don't have to agree with a critique to accept another's view. This is about building each other up and becoming better writers and making friends. Please don't ruin that.

☆ COMMUNICATE! If you have to take a leave, need an extension, have an issue, anything.  Things admittedly get lost easily on the chapters, so it's best to communicate via Discord (it may be more likely to be seen if you comment inline next to your name on the most recent chapter though as well).

☆ We have a discord for Dreamland. You MUST join it. You can find the link to it in our bio. Apologies, but without a DM system on Wattpad anymore, it is necessary. If you do not have a discord, one is very easy to make.  You must be in the server before you will be accepted!

☆ You MUST add both this book and Dreamland Community to your library. It's for your own good. The Community book has basically any important announcements and I don't want your excuse to be "I didn't see this-or-that because it wasn't in my library."

☆ There is a password you will put on the form.  It can be found in the FAQ section, so read it after this chapter.

☆ If you sign up prior to the fifteenth, you will be automatically added to the current Dream.  If you sign up fifteenth or later, we will ask you if you want to be added first.  Upon entering the club, you will have a trial period.  This trial is very simple: you just have to do the bare minimum required for the club.  Once you do this, you'll be put in as a New Member.  This is because we've had too many people enter as New Dreams, have a ton of amazing people shower them with reads, then randomly poof on us.

PLEASE NOTE: Your month of entry is both your trial and "New" member time period.  So if you sign up and join on the 7th or 13th and get added to the updates, but you don't finish your trial until the very last update, you will not be added in the "New" member section because the ONLY time a Trial and New month varies is if the person isn't given their trial until the final week.

☆ Most important rule: come into this club with an attitude of growth and fun.

☆ An assignment runs for an entire month. However, every Friday we will update in order to keep people up to date with points and partners, as well as to include the new members who signed up.  You MUST finish all of your month work by 5 PM EST the final day for it to count.

☆ The updates will be listed as Dreams. So the first official post will be Dream 1 || April 1st - April 30th||.  Each Friday of that update will be .1, .2, .3, etc.  So it would be Dream 1.1, Dream 1.2, Dream 1.3, etc.  There may not be an update the last Friday if the month ends early in a new week (no point to upload if the 30th/31st is a Monday).

☆ For each monthly Dream you must read and comment on four or more chapters from your fellow members. This can be the same book or from different books. Each chapter you read will accumulate points for you.

☆ We have a Book of the Month (BotM).  Everyone must read two chapters from the BotM. BotM is chosen by random selection of a set group of people.  To be part of that group of people, one must either earn 200 points OR read 40 chapters during the month.  Your name is put in the drawing once you reach one of these thresholds.  These accumulate, so say you have 422 points and read 51 chapters, your name is put in 3 times (200 Points + 200 Points + 40 chapters).  It used to be who had the most points, but... Some people got scary insane trying to achieve that...

☆ You must leave 10+ quality inline comments per chapter you read to get points for it. Quality comments should be at least a sentence (emojis don't count), aren't rude, and can be reactionary or constructive. If you cannot make 10+ inlines or just don't like doing inlines, you must do a paragraph long outline (5+ sentences).

☆ Points earned per book vary based on their spot on the list. There will be six general categories: Admin, Birthday, New, Galaxy, Star, and Dreamers.

---Admin Books: 3 points per chapter, is a book of an admin

--- Birthday Books: 5 points per chapter, is a book by a member with a birthday that week.  If the person is also a Galaxy person, though, they are worth 10 points instead.

---New Books: 4 points per chapter, is a book by someone who joined that month.

---Galaxy Books: 7 points per chapter, is a book of someone who read 40+ book chapters for other people or achieved 200+ points (so if you qualify for botm, you qualify for Galaxy).  It will not count if all of those chapters are from a single person.

---Star Books: 5 points per chapter, is only done on the final update of the month, features any book by someone who has done the bare minimum (4+ chapters, botm) and has NOT received at least 4 reads.

---Dreamers Books: 1 point per chapter, is the book of normal members

☆ Who is in these categories will change every month.  There are two other general category, but they are simply Reader Onlys and Trial Members.

☆ Aside from the general categories, we also have comment preference separation that only occurs in the Dreamer section.  It is broken up into three categories, which you choose to be in for your form.  You can change if you wish.  Note, this does not mean this is the only comment type you will get, but it is so the more critical readers know the books they can be critical on, and those who want to relax know what books they can just chill with.

---Advanced: People who want comments that are more analytical and critical.  So they want you to be helping them grow in the craft by pointing out where they can strengthen, or they want you to read deeper into their books,

---Casual: People who want comments to just be enjoying the story, going through with the characters and experiencing it, not too worried about help with the story, likely because it's a draft state and they want more story reactions.

---Mixed: People who don't care which you do or prefer you do both.

☆ Note: this will also be indicated in the forms by their names as not all names will be in the Dreamer section and not all want to retrace their steps to see which section they're in.

☆ There are two ways you can make this club work for you. You can read from anyone in the club just to be reading, or you can set up a partnership with another member. This means you agree with another member to read so many chapters from them per month. This is the only way to guarantee someone reads back for you. Partnership chapters earn 3 points.

☆ You will have to read at least two chapters from anyone you have a partnership with.  Failure to do so will make you unable to have partners for the given cycle (or next if it is the final month) UNLESS you communicate with us and your partners that you'll have to be late, in which case you'll have the first update of the next month to finish your extensions.  You cannot get new partnerships until you finish this extension, and reads and points specifically for the extension will not carry on (as in the 1-2 chapters you read to finish the partnership).

☆ Those on trial CANNOT begin a partnership unless they've finished BotM and reading four chapters for others.

☆ People can only have a max of six partners at one time, so be sure to pick people you really want to read for and get reads back from.

☆ Partners reset every three months (cycles).  This helps ensure nobody has to stick with partnerships they would rather disband.

☆ When it comes to reading, we want people to try to read the same amount for each other, so please converse with one another.

☆ To start a partnership, you utilize the form each person has on every chapter.  Part of their form has a line saying "request."  An example of it will be shown in the next section.  You must tag the person you are requesting from so they can see it.

☆ People have 72 hours to accept or deny the request.  If they deny, nobody is allowed to ask why if a reason was not supplied.  More than likely, they're busy or your book isn't their cup of tea, which is okay.

☆ To report being done, you have two places you go do this.  If you are done with BotM, you will say so right under where the BotM is said (only those two chapters you read for BotM though).  Do not put it in the other place.  The other place you will report is for when you're reporting anything else you do.  This will be in your specific form, something every member has.

☆ The form will look like what is shown below:

---------User: Cross-Warrior (Casual)
Nickname: Cross
Book: The Dragon's Scale (Fantasy)
Chapters Read: [how many chapters user has read]
Reads on Book: [how many reads user has received, ✔ = 4+ reads]
Points:

Ongoing Partnerships: PersonF, PersonX

Requests:

Reports:

☆ So you will go to the place where it is your user, and you will report inline where it says report.  We have an example of a good report in the FAQ!

☆ You can wait until after you have read multiple chapters to report.  However, be sure to report on the newest chapter and to do it before everything ends. REPORTS NOT DONE ON THE CURRENT CHAPTER WILL BE IGNORED!

☆ You must report having read a chapter within a week of reading it.  ANYTHING REPORTED AFTER 7 DAYS WILL BE IGNORED!

☆ We will have a Bad Mark system specifically for binge reporting at the end of the month.  This is to encourage people not to try to go for Galaxy at the very end of the month.  You get a warning the first time.  The second time, you will be banned from getting Galaxy for a single cycle (same rotation period as the partnerships).  Get it twice, and you will be permanently banned from Galaxy.  Bad Marks reset every January 1st.  If you're busy and it happens once?  No big deal.  But we want to ensure that people only do this when they have to, not when they're procrastinating.

--- Please note, binge reporting at the end of the month constitutes as 20+ reports in the final week if it is clear you are doing it purely for Galaxy (say you just barely go over the bare minimum chapter count or points needed for Galaxy?  Yeah, that kinda thing ^.^)

☆ When you fail to reach the required amount of reads per month, you will be put on probation.  We will PM you informing you that you are on probation and remove you from the next update.  You must read and comment on at least 4 chapters of anyone's books and do BotM.  You do your reports at the bottom in a section called See PMs (as this is also a section for extension people, so nobody knows if you had an extension or are on probation).  If you complete this, you will be re-instated the following month.

☆ If I have to put you on probation 3 times, you are out and cannot return.

☆ If I put you on probation and you do not finish, you will be kicked out. You will still have to complete your probation upon returning.

☆ You may take a hiatus for a month. Before taking your hiatus, you must complete the minimum amount of reading. So if you can, please requests hiatuses a little before new posts if you know you will need hiatus the next month.

☆ If you do not come off your hiatus after that month, you will be kicked and have to resign up.

☆ You may have ongoing Partnerships you are not caught up on when going on hiatus, but you must complete them before coming off it.

☆ Extensions last a week into the next month. Longer than that and you will be moved to probation.

Questions: If you have any questions that are not answered in our FAQ, be sure to ask!

Dreamland Community book: To avoid cloying up notifications, we have a book called Dreamland Community. Please add it and this book to your library. Usually community posts are for the normal club we have on this account, but sometimes I'll surely make posts for this club.
