Chapter 8: Love Takes Time

((So many views on this book! Woah! Well, enjoy!))

"What..? Aren't you..and Komaeda...?" Togami asked but Ibuki was already on her way to falling asleep. He sighed and stood up, brushing his outfit off. A faint blush was still visible on his cheeks, but no one was around to see. Or, no one was awake to see. He carried Ibuki and began to walk towards her dorm.
The moonlight shines brightly on the two. Togami looked down at Ibuki and smiled. He hadn't been able to break character around Ibuki before, not until now. He pushed a few strands of hair aside from her face. 'Damn...she really is adorable when she sleeps.' He thought with a chuckle. 'Ibuki....you really are something.'

"Ibuki! Ibuki! Hey, can you hear me?" A voice asked. Ibuki blinked a few times and suddenly saw...Chi Chi!
"Oh my gosh, Ibuki hasn't seen you in FOREVER!" Ibuki shouted and embraced Chi Chi in a hug. Chi Chi giggled. "Wow, I can't believe you confessed to Togami!"
Ibuki's smile seemed to fade into a look of confusion. She laughed nervously. "Ibuki did?" She asked and Chi Chi nodded happily. Ibuki's face went red.
"Oh nooooo! It wasn't a dream! He knows?! Oh nooo!" Ibuki yelled and fell to the ground. Chi Chi giggled. "Hey, come on! I bet he likes you back. You fell asleep before he could say anything to it." Chi Chi said and helped Ibuki stand up. "He probably hates me..." Ibuki mumbled in shame.
"Oh come on, stop being all depressed. At least you got it off your chest. Now it's time to wake up!" Chi Chi said proudly and placed her hands on her hips. "What?! Already?!" Ibuki asked worriedly. She didn't want to leave... "You'll be fine! Don't let that stupid Komaeda get in the way of love. You can do this!" Chi Chi said and pushed her into a room of white mist.
"W-wait! Ibuki doesn't think she's ready!"
But it was too late. She had already woke up. Ibuki looked around and sighed. She stood up and brushed off a few strands of grass left on her from yesterday night. She grabbed a bagel and poured herself some juice.
"Hiya Ibu-!"
"AAAAAH!"
Ibuki was scared by the sudden voice and almost spilled her juice all over the counter. She turned around to see Usami and was still gasping for air. "You...really frightened Ibuki!" She said with a laugh and Usami giggled.
Ibuki thought it was someone else...
Komaeda.
"I came to check on you early last night, and I didn't see you! Where were you?" She asked and Ibuki began to get a little nervous. "Oh, uh, Ibuki was just hanging out with Togami...."
"All night?"
"Yeah! Well, Ibuki fell asleep when we were hanging out and he carried Ibuki back home late." Ibuki explained and finished eating her bagel. "Well, I'll be heading off. But I saw this note at your door." Usami stated and handed Ibuki a note. Ibuki wasn't expecting any mail.
"Thanks..." She mumbled and gave a look of confusion as she opened the letter. Usami began to waddle out the door with her little feet. "Well, bye bye!" She said and left the room.
"Ibuki wonders what this is..." Ibuki said to herself. She managed to rip open the letter and see what was inside....
"Dear Ibuki,
I guess I should've paid more attention to you. Togami figured out the truth that we aren't dating. Surprised? Yeah, I lied. But you probably figured that out already. I hope you know it was for your own good, but now you've confessed to him. What's a guy supposed to do? Well, I would warn you to stay away from him. He's not who he says he is. He's"
Before Ibuki could finish reading, she tossed the note in the trash and ran outside. Ibuki headed straight for Togami's house.

Togami woke up very late...he adjusted himself to look like someone he was not, as usual. He put on glasses that weren't real, as usual. He looked at himself in the mirror and wished he could tell everyone the truth about him, as usual.
While he washed his face, Togami looked at himself, and looked away from his reflection in shame. He had created this relationship with a body that wasn't his. This wasn't him...but if they knew the truth, he knew they would hate him. He knew Ibuki only liked him for what he was not.
'Damn it...what am I supposed to do? I've fallen in love...' He thought to himself and turned off the running water. '...and I don't even realize that this girl still doesn't know the true me! She's in love with the other me...I need to fix this...' Togami thought and bit his lip.
Knock knock knock!
"Uh, Togami-kun!" A voice called from Togami's door. "It's Ibuki!" After hearing that, Togami panicked. What was he supposed to do?! "Togami!"
"Uhh, coming!" He shouted and fixed his attire up. Togami walked to the door and opened it. Wow. Ibuki looked beautiful. Wait, why was he getting lovestruck all of the sudden? She was wearing the same thing she always did, so why was this visit more special?
Ibuki hugged Togami with a giggle. His face went red. The normal thing his character should do is pretend to fix his glasses which would cover some of his face.
So why wasn't he doing it?
Aren't you Togami?
Aren't you?
No. He hugged Ibuki back, which surprised her. Her face went pink. She didn't want to let go...
The hug lasted a long time.
Very long.
Togami should've let go, but he's not Togami, so he didn't.
"Hey, so...wanna come in?" Togami asked and Ibuki nodded. The two let go of each other and began to walk inside. Ibuki instantly began to put her nose where it didn't belong. Togami didn't seem to care. She found a cabinet where a bunch of board games and puzzles were.
"Byakuya-chan!" Ibuki exclaimed as she pulled out a board game from the cabinet. "You never told Ibuki that you had board games and puzzles! So cool! Let's play Candy Land!" She said and began to set up all of the pieces. Togami chuckled and the two began to play.

Midway into game, Ibuki began to notice Togami acting weird. She wanted to ask what was wrong, but knowing him, he wouldn't answer. He would just answer, I'm fine.
"Are...are you okay..?"
"What...? Oh...uh, yeah."
"...you sure?"
"...yes.."
"...okay. I believe you."

That night, Togami couldn't sleep. He just kept thinking and thinking about what a terrible person he was for lying to everyone. For lying to himself. He sighed, tossing and turning throughout the night. How could he keep this up any longer? He had never grown so close to someone before, and it was really getting to him. He couldn't lie any longer to a person he loved. He couldn't lie to himself any longer.

((SORRY ITS SHORT.))
