Over the following days things were pretty boring. Assignmemts, work, classes, etc. But today, today they were going to get the equipment they needed for streaming. They weren't going to start streaming immediately, as they wanted to get used to a new pc setup as they'd never had one before, but they were undoubtedly excited.

Milla had spent an embarrassingly long amount of time getting the information they'd need for streaming and gaming that she didn't really want to talk about it. They stepped side by side into Best Buy with a small list thst would cost way too much money. As they were both college students they were getting the student discount plus the sale they had going that day for everythig to end up half off. Yes they waited for the sale, and yes it's called the college hustle. So they were paying approximately the amount a single person would for the setup. They walked the aisles looking at different electronics and laughing at stupid videos that were on them. They eventually stopped at the aisle with the mics and picked up two Blue Jeti and set them into the cart. They proceeded throughout the store and continued to pick up two of each item, the cam being a Logitech C299 HD Pro, the keyboards being a Logitech Orion Spectrum (with backlighting), the desktop being a Dell Intercore i3, the mouse a Logitech G203 lightsync, and the monitors being two for each girl, four in total, a Lenevo 21.5' screen. It was practically a damn TV, and was the cheapest monitor. They bought it all, weirdly enough getting some stramge looks when they walked up. Then again, the cart was practically overflowing and wasn't all that suprising when they thought about it afterward. Ren unloaded the lighter things and lugged them up to their apartment, and Milla took the desktops before coming back down and taking the monitors with Ren back up to their home. It took a dumb amount of time for Milla to set her stuff up on the desk as she was an idiot and read the directions wrong, yet again, and eventually Ren had to come help her when she she was done setting up her pc station. After an embarrassing amount of time, (four hours in total) they slumped into the couch simultaneously.

"Uuuugh. I have school tomorrow!" Milla cried out after they sat. Ren laughed, "I do too y'know."

"Okay let me reiterate, 'We have school tomorrow," Milla stated. Ren rolled her eyes before turning on the TV. They watched a cooking show until they realized they were hungry with almost zero food in the house. "Why is this something people never talk about?" Ren asked after looking through all the cabinets for the second time.

"Talk about what? And opening the cabinets again and again isn't going to make food appear..." Milla asked from the island she was sitting at on her phone. "Oh haha. The lack of food..." Rem said sadly.

Milla glanced up from her phone, "... You mean the cliché that is in every single coming of age movie/show ever?"

Ren sighed, "Um... yes."

Milla laughed, "Alright then i guess."

Over the following week they got their pc's ready for streaming and playing. They got OBS installed and designed their own emotes for things such as follows, subs, donos, and their frame for face cam. Both being artsy, they really enjoyed creating them, and it felt special. Mostly because they designed it. They installed minecraft Java edition and were about to log on and play for the first time. This also happened to be their first time recording.

"Okay, test, how's the audio?" Milla asked Ren though their team speak call. "Sounds good. Me?"

Milla glanced at the second monitor which had a few different screens pulled up, "Sounds good. You ready?" Ren laughed nervously, "Not really, but we commited."

"Alright, on the count of five turn on your stream and screen recording for the video... first time playing java on our own pc's. 1...2...3...4...5..."

They both started their streams, and screen recording as well as face cams and other technical things. The first minute or so was them figuring out streaming logistics, making sure eveything was correct, and as there wasn't any viewers there was no pressure, which was suprisingly kathartic.  Eventually the girls got the nerve to start playing mine craft.

[a/n] the chapter is ending early because streams are separate chapters on their own. :) and yes, it took me literally two hours on best buys website and many other blogs to find those things. smh its ridiculous.
