Brooklyn's POV

It was a very long four hour bus ride. But I made it in one piece. Thankfully. But at least we're actually staying in a house this time and not a hotel. Which is a lot better. But then again the houses are co-ed. But I've lived with Nick my whole life, and was in the same hotel room with him for two weeks. How bad could rooming with a few more boys be?

Since the tour is in Houston Stephanie is staying at her parents house. Just think about that makes me miss my family and friends. But hey, at lest I've got my twin with me. Even though he's a idiot.

Anyways, as I was unpacking I felt a tap on my shoulder. I figured it was Melissa since I was listening to music. When I turned around I felt a pair of soft lips on mine. sighed and wrapped my arms around his neck. It may or may not have gotten a little heated. Then I realized what I was doing.

"What was that for?" Sky asked quietly with a playful smirk after I shoved him away.

"Do you want us to get caught?" I asked just as quietly. "And where's Melissa?"

"Well, when Mellissa opened the door I said I needed to talk to you in privet," he replied.

"And by talk you mean make out with me," I said in a matter of fact tone while crossing my arms.

"You are my girlfriend aren't you?" he asked.

"SHH!" I snapped while chucking a pillow at him. "We're keeping that a secret until I tell Nick."

"When will that be?" Sky asked. Ever since we got together I talked him into keeping it a secret until I told Nick. Which mean Sky asked me the same old question everyday.

"Today." Sky gave me that look. I walked up to him and softly kissed him on the lips before saying, "I promise I will for real this time. Do you think you can wait until then?"

"If I have too," Sky sighed while pulling me closer. "I just want to tell people already."

"And you can. After I talk it out with my very protective brother," I replied. "Now get out of here before people starting thinking things," I said while shoving him away.

"OK fine," Sky said. "I'll see you and your pretty face later." he kissed me cheek, smirked, then winked at me before leaving. Just as Sky left Nick walked in.

"Ok what's up?" Nick asked.

"Clouds, birds, air pl-"

"With you and Sky?" Nick asked seriously. When did this boy get so smart? Hold on Brook, he doesn't know anything yet. But it might be a good time to come clean. Ok so it looks like this is happening right now.

"About that..." I replied sheepishly.

"I knew it!" Nick exclaimed. "One minute you hate the guy and the next your back to being friends."

"Nick, how many times do I have to tell you. It was that she devil, not Sky," I said in annoyance. After Sky and I got together we both cleared things up with everyone. Things went back to normal. But Nick was still on edge. "Anyways, have I ever told you, you're the best brother a girl could as for?"

"Stop stalling Lucia." Oh, I didn't know we were doing the middle name card. Well, two can play at that game.

"Calm down James, I'm not a baby," I retorted.

"So you are dating him," Nick said. When I avoided eye contact Nick then proceed to yell, "I KNEW IT! Why did you tell me?"

"I was planning on telling you," I replied while looking back at him. "Today in fact. But you kinda figured it out already." I took a deep breath as I said, "So, are you ok with it?"

"Why bother telling you if you're just going to date him anyways," Nick said brushing it off.

"C'mon Niki," I said. "Just tell me if you're ok with it or not."

Nick took a deep breath before saying, "While I'm not happy that you have a boyfriend, I'm just happy you're-" before he could finish I went and hugged him. "Love you too lil sis. But please be careful, I don't want to see you get hurt."

"Nick, I'm almost nineteen, I can take care of myself and you've had the bruises to prove it," I replied.

"I still have one on my - and now I can add another one to the collection," Nick said while rubbing his arm I had just punched. "Go on. Go tell you're boyfriend the good news. But I will be having a very long talk with him later about dating you. As in my little baby sister."

"Yeah whatever," I said while rolling my eyes. "If your talk ends up getting rough try not to bruise his cute face." Nick gagged just as I thought he would. 

"Just don't get all mushy when I'm around."

"Funny coming from the guy who-"

"Don't finish that," Nick cut off with a glare.

"Whatever you say Nicky," I replied sweetly. I smiled before quickly kissing him on the cheek and then went to go tell Sky the good news. But as soon as I opened the door Sky, and Ben, and Josh, and Chaz, and David, and Melissa all feel onto the floor.

"We didn't hear anything," Ben said with a groan.

"Chaz, you're crushing my rib cage," Daivd complained.

"I told them it was a bad idea," Melissa quickly added.

"Can I tell people we're dating now?" Sky (who was on the bottom of the dog pile) asked while looking up at me.

"That was the deal," I replied while hiding my smile.

"Hey guys, I'm dating Brooklyn," Sky said while looking up at everyone.

"Good for you Skybell," Josh replied.

"Jordan just texted," Nick said breaking up..whatever was going on before. "Some of the guys are heading to the movies and asked if we wanted to come."

"Is the movie Spider Man?" I asked deadpanned.

"In his words, "sadly we're choosing the movie when we get there"," Nick replied.

Sky's POV

"That movie was awesome!" Ben and Josh said as they fight fived each other.

"It was completely boring," Brook said deadpanned. "There were way too many cars blowing up and no plot like whatsoever."

"I have to agree," Zachary said. 

"Sky, your girlfriend doesn't know a good movie when she sees it," Josh said seriously while looking at me.

"Girlfriend?!" the whole group yelled as they stopped walking. They looked from me, to Brook, then back at me, then Brook again. 

"You did want to tell people, " Brook said sheepishly.

I smirked as he wrapped an arm around her waist and kissed her cheek before saying, "Nothing is going to stop me from saying this girl is off the market now. Make a move on her and you die." I might have gone a little over board. But what can I say, Brooklyn is my girl and nothing is stopping me from shouting it from the roof tops. 

"It's about time you said that," Ben yelled. Which reminds me of something. I'll talk about it with him later. Right now I'm just glad I can calling Brooklyn my girlfriend.

"Guess what I brought?" Brook asked. 

"You're pretty smile?" I asked while wrapping my arm around her. I still can't believe I'm dating the most amazing girl ever. 

"This," she said with a smirk as she pulled a blue polaroid camera out of her purse. "C'mon let's take pictures," she said excitedly while doing a little bounce. Before I could answer Brook started running in the other direction and dragged me along with her.

I just followed her without asking any questions. When we were at a good distance from the group Brook finally stopped running. We were both out of breath and Brook was smiling that one that lights up her eyes, which made me smile.

Brook then took a few steps back, held the camera up and said, "Smile Skybell."

I laughed and then smiled. She took the picture and it came out of the top. A few minutes later the picture appeared. Brook dug into her purse and took out a album and put the Polaroid in it.

"You're turn Fun Sized," I said while take the camera out of her hand. Brook giggled as I took the picture of her and we continued to do that. One of my favorites was when Brook was talking the picture as I was kissing her cheek. We ended up using up all the film up that Brook had to put her spare in and we too two more before everyone noticed we were gone.

"How dare you take Polaroids without me," Josh said dramatically. We both laughed before taking a bunch of Polaroids until there were no more.

After we were down with that I took Brook's hand into mine. She smiled at him and not being able to help myself I lightly kissed her forehead.

"NO PDA!" Nick yelled while glaring at me. 

"Watch me!" I yelled back before pulling Brook into a fiery kiss. 

Brooklyn pushed me away a few moments later and said, "It's like you have a death wish."

"Maybe," I shrugged it off. Honestly, nothing can ruin my mood right now.

"Hey guys, Jeff called-"

"No I didn't," Jeff said.

"Not you Jeff, the other Jeff," Dan said while rolling his eyes. "Cast meeting, on the stage right now."

"Ok good," Jeff C said. "Now I'm sure you're al wondering why you're here. Well, I'm very sorry to say that Stephine has gotten stick and cannot perform tonight. So, with that being said Brooklyn Masson will be taking over as our Katherine, and Melissa Steadman Hart will be playing our Sniper,  for the time being. Everyone please go get into your costumes because we are going go through the whole show. Met back here in fifteen minutes.

Seriously?! Barely ten minutes of spreading the news that I'm dating Brooklyn she's going to be kissing another guy until Steph is better?! Talk about lousy timing!

I looked over at Brook who seemed like...not her usual self. Ok Sky, put aside your feelings about your girlfriend kissing another guy and be there for her.

"Are you ok?" I asked while wrapping a arm around her.

"No," she replied quietly. "Sky, I'm going on as Katherine. I'm not ready."

"You can do it Fun Sized."

"But I have to...you know." Looks like I'm not the only one who isn't happy about this.

"Look on the bright side, at least we can be on stage more together." I saw the smallest smile on Brook's face appear. "C'mon, I'll walk you to your dressing room." Brooklyn nodded. We both left the stage and were now in the halls walking to the girls' dressing room.

"Sky," Brook whispered so quiet that I almost didn't hear her.

"Yeah Fun Sized?" I asked.

"How did you feel on opening night? Scared? Excited? Nervous? Or like you wanted to run and hide at the nearest gas station?"

"All of the above," I replied. "Don't stress Brooky. You'll be amazing," I said while pulling her closer. "Besides, remember what you told me when you first got here?"

"But really, how many Brooklyns do you know?" she asked. I couldn't help but laugh at that.

"Besides the city, you're the only girl I know with that name," I replied playing along making her do that cute little giggle she does so well. "It's the same as dace team. At first you're really nervous, but once you get out there it's the best feeling in the world."

"Yeah but-"

"No "buts" Brooklyn," I said. "You're going to be amazing and that's the bottom line."

"You really think that?"

"I don't think, I know you'll be amazing." Brook's cheeks flushed red as she looked to the ground. She's so cute when she does that. 

"Thanks Skybell," she said while glancing up for a quick moment before looking away again. "Here's my stop," Brook said when we got to the girlsies' dressing room.

"I'll see you on stage," I said before kissing her cheek. 

"Not if I see you first," she replied before walking into the dressing room. When the door closed I leaned on it and let out a sigh. That girl is amazing in every way possible. After taking a few moments I went back to the guys' dressing room and got ready as quickly as I could so I could do my warm ups.

"Why is everyone so scared of Brooklyn?" I had to try so hard not to laugh at that line. I'm pretty sure it was obvious because Jeff C was giving me "the look", and I'm pretty sure Josh slapped me to stop. Brook only rolled her eyes and the scene went on.

"What's that about? Are you following me?" Dan asked as he hide behind Jacob.

"The only thing I'm following is a story," Brook said in a matter of fact tone. "A rag tag team, gang of ragamuffins, wants to take on the king makers of New York? Think you have a chance?" she asked while pointing the pen around. Ben gave the smallest nod with wide eyes.

Dude, stop drooling over my girlfriend! What do you not understand about "off the market"?

Sky, relax, it's just acting...or is it...no, no it's just acting. Just like how Dan is kissing Brook four times a night until Stephine gets better. Eight times on Sundays...and. It's just acting. Nobody would dare make a move on Brook. 

One reason being Nick (need I say more?) and second being I'm her boyfriend. As in someone who's dating her!

"Earth to Sky!"

"What?" I asked popping back to the real world.

"You spaced out on us bud," Jordan said. 

"Are you ok?" Josh asked.

"Fine," I replied. "Perfectly fine. Never better in fact. I'm 500% fine. I've never felt any better in my-" before I could finish I felt a hand yank me so hard I almost fell on my butt.

"We're taking five!" Brook yelled as she dragged me off the stage. After a little bit of walking she opened the door to a supplies closet. Shoved me in before going in herself and closed the door before turning on the light. "You're not fine," she replied.

"I'm just tried from the long-"

"Sky Flaherty!" Brook snapped. She took a deep breath before saying, "You know green isn't a good color on you."

"I don't know what you're-"

"The green monster of jealousy," she cut of calmly. "I saw the way you were looking at Dan, and Ben, and all the other guys who made eye contact with me. It's just acting Skybell."

"I know," I replied quietly. I didn't want to let her know what she was saying was true. We haven't been dating a week and this girl has me figured out already.

"But?" she asked with a knowing look.

I sighed as I said, "It's still you doing it, and I'm really happy that you're getting to do this. I thought I could handle see you "flirt" with someone else. You know I have strong feelings for you and....I guess you're right. The green monster of jealously got the best of me."

"That may be true, but I only have eyes for you," Brooklyn replied sweetly as she wrapped her arms around my neck. I instinctively put my hands on her waist as I looked deep into her eyes. "And, you're kinda cute when you get jealous," she said.

"Do I now?" I asked in a low tone as I pulled her closer.

"Stop acting like you don't know how cute you are," she replied with the smirk. Not knowing what came over me I went in for a kiss. Brook kissed back, and all of worries went away.

"If you two are done making out," a voice said making us jump back in surprise. "We've got work to do," Josh said. Brook sighed in relief that it was Josh opening the door. I was too. But that didn't mean I was happy our moment was over. 

Brooklyn's POV

 I was in the wing waiting for my cue to walk out there with Josh and...yeah I can't do this. I tried to run off, but Josh stopped me and asked, "Where do you think you're going?"

"I can't do this," I said.

"Yes you can," he replied. "If you can dance as good as you can act then I'm sure you'll be amazing. Plus, it's not like I can walk out on my own."

"True," I said. "But looks like it's gonna happen." I tried to run off again, but Josh stopped me.

"Just relax, you'll be just fine." Before I could answer I heard Ben say his line to start off Carrying the Banner. 

"I was having the most beautiful dream. My lips is still tinglin'," Sky said.

"A pretty girl?" Ben teased.

"The most beautiful girl I ever lid eyes on." 

That's not that line! it's "a leg of lamb". Sky changed his line! He changed it. Question is, was it on purpose, or a simple mistake? I mean everyone makes mistakes. But this? Oh boy....the fansies are gonna go crazy! They'll probably wonder why Sky changed his line! But the thing is no one knows it's me. We literally started telling people today! I'll talk to him later about it.

"Did Sky change his line?" Josh asked slowly.

"Way to keep up bacon boy," I replied.

"You must be one hell of a girl to make him do that," Josh said with a smirk. Am I though? Am I really that special? 

Anyways, before I knew it was time to do this. I took a deep breath, linked arms with Josh and went out there.

First up it was Nico, then Dan, and then it was me. "I've got a headline for you. Cheek boy gets nothing for troubles," I said before linking arms with Josh again and walked away. I caught Sky smirking at me. He sent a wink and a tilt of the cap for good measure. I of course rolled my eyes since this was a show after all. But on the inside my stomach was getting butterflies.

Who knew just a few months ago I had no interest in this boy, and now. Now I can't get him out of my mind.

"See you did just fine," Josh said quickly as three dresser helped him get into his newsie costume.

"Thanks," I replied. Josh winked at me before running out onto the stage. I stayed there in the wing and watched the show go on. I watched with a smile and laughed at all the funny lines. My smile grew as I watched Nico and Sky jump off Pulitzer's desk and now it's time for a quick break.

"You were amazing lit sis," Nick said as he punched me in the shoulder.

"Thanks, you were amazing too. I hope you enjoyed hearing me say that because it's the last time you'll hear it," I teased. 

I then  went back stage for a water break. That's when I felt someone tickle my sides. I jumped as I turned around too see my boyfriend with that stupid smirk. "Hey Fun Size."

"Hey Dork," I replied making him roll his eyes. "You were pretty good out there."

"So were you," he replied.

"You changed your line," I said dropping the bomb.

"Yeah..." he said while rubbing his neck. "I didn't mean too, it just kinda slipped out. But it true. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on." 

"And you are such a flirt," I teased. I ended up smiling as I felt my cheeks warm up. Sky wrapped his arms around my waist and the next thing I knew we were kissing. I went up on my toes and wrapped my arms around his neck. I forgot everything because this right here. It felt right.

"Stop making out with my sister and get your butt on stage!" I heard Nick yell. And that's when Sky pulled back. Actually Nick grabbed Sky by the back of his costume and yanked him away.

"Can't I have a moment with my girlfriend without getting interrupted?" Sky asked as Nick dragged him away.

"You will have no moments with my sister while I'm around buddy," Nick replied. I sighed while shaking my head.

"Ready for a crazy stage door?" Sky asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I replied while taking a deep breath.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked. "If people ask I can just say my line slipped my mind and-"

"Sky," I cut off. It was really sweet that he was willing to cover up his mistake for me. "People are going to find out sooner or later. Right? So might as well get it over with."

"If you're that sure," he said before kissing my temple. "Time to let people know your off the market." I smiled as I squeezed his hand. I took a deep breath before we walked out of the stage door. When we did it was quiet for a few seconds then it got loud. Very loud. I'm talking about fireworks on the fourth of July loud.

I looked over at Sky who smiled. He then whispered something in my ear that made me giggle. I hate he can do that to me. I smiled at him before we went to the first group. 

"Hi, did you enjoy the show?" Sky and I asked at the same time. We looked at each other before laughing a bit. 

"Oh my gosh, yes!" one of the girls exclaimed. "I'm Emily and she's Zoey."

"One of my friend's from dance team is named  Zoey," I said.

"Oh my gosh I almost forgot you were on a dance team. Also, I loved the part when Sky changed his line at the beginning," Zoe said. I saw Sky's cheeks turn redder than his hair. 

"Yeah, if there was an award for the biggest dork this one would win it," I said making Sky turn even redder. 

"Brook, you were amazing as Katherine," Emily addedas she handed me her playbill.

"Thank you," I replied as I signed it before going to sign the other one.

"When you had the Katherine wig on you and Sky looked like you were twins."

"Here that Nick!" Sky yelled making Nick look over at us. "Brooklyn is my twin now. SO HA!"

"Then you have a serious problem if you're dating your twin then," Nick teased with a smirk before going back to whatever he was doing before.

"Story of my life," I said before giving my idiot of a boyfriend the shut up look.

"It must be amazing to be the sister of a newsies, and dating a newsies," Zoe said as I singed her playbill.

"It's fifty, fifty," I replied.

"Hey!" Sky and Nick said at the same time. Even though these idiots are going to drive each other crazy, they have a lot more in common than they think they do.

Sky's POV

"That was one hell of a show," Ben said as he jumped into his bed. And by that, I actually mean he jumped into his bed like a five year old.

"Yeah, it was," I replied.

"And Brook killed playing Katherine. Don't you think?"

"She blew up the house," I replied. "But I didn't like when she kissed Dan." I shook the though out of my girlfriend kissing another guy out of my head. But I don't think I'll ever be able to get that out. "Anyways, I have a question."

"Shoot," Ben replied happily.

"Do you like Brooklyn?" I asked slowly and quietly. "And not as in a friend. Do you like...have a crush on her?"

"If this is about what I told you awhile back then the answer is no," Ben replied. That's somewhat a relief. "That was only a way for you to make a move on Brook. But as you can see, that didn't work out. I promise you Brook and I are just friends. Nothing more, nothing less. She's like a sister to me. And I'd never make a move on your girlfriend."

"Really?" I was still unsure about this. 

"I see the way she looks and you, and I see the way you look at her. You two are perfect for each other and I wouldn't mess with that," Ben said full heartedly.

"I believe you," I replied. Ben smiled before getting comfy in bed. "Oh and Ben."

"Yeah?" he asked from under the covers.

"Thanks for trying to...you know."

"Go to sleep." 

I shook my head before going to sleep myself. If you really look at the big picture Ben was just trying to help. And dragged Josh along for the ride. And maybe a few of the other guys. It was nice. But boy did it turn out badly. In the end though, it kinda worked out.

"Hey Ben?" I asked when something else popped into my mind.

"Yeah?" he asked sleepily.

"Not a word about this to Brook."

"And risk getting beat up by a girl? No thanks."
