Coffee

Brooklyn's POV

For the next few days I was taught all the numbers in the show, plus the tracks I play which are Sniper (like duh) a Nun, Bowery beauty, a lady buying a paper, plus a small part of Katherine's track since I under study her.

Even though Jeff C said he thought I should go on earlier than planned since I've pretty much memorized the whole show, I'm a little unsure. Which brings us to now. I got to the theater early and put my let lose playlist on shuffle and well...Like nobody's around by Big Time Rush started playing. I smiled before getting into it and danced like nobody was around.

Anyways, when I finished I heard clapping and well...when I looked up who was there you may as? Well...there standing in the wing was a smirking red head with his dance bag in tow. Just my luck.

"What're you doing here? It's like four in the morning."

"I could ask you the same thing," Sky replied while crossing his arms.

"I asked first, and if that's not a good enough reason I also may add that you were stalking me."

"I was not stalking," he retorted. "I was just watching you without you knowing I was there."

I rolled my eyes before saying, "Just answer the question."

"I like coming here when no one else is around and let lose," he explained. "Looks like we had the same idea."

I nodded before putting on my sweeter and said, "Well, this has been nice, but I need food and coffee before I pass out." I then walked past him. I glanced back at him and something inside me said "this is your chance to get to know him" but another part of me said, "don't bother, you'll probably get heart broken in the end"

So, without even thinking I stopped walking, turned around and said, "You can come too if you want." He looked back at me, smiled, before catching up. We went to Dunkin Donuts, ordered our food and then sat down at a table near the window.

"So, Nick is your twin," Sky said trying to start up a conversation.

"Do you really not see the resemblance?" I asked.

"Not really," he admitted.

"You wouldn't be the first," I replied before taking a bite of my sandwich. "I think the freckles are the problem."

"So, who's-"

"I'm younger by a freaking minute and a half," I cut him off, which made him laugh. Well this is kinda good. I mean at least I can get to know him and see what he's really like. As in for real, and not in a weird dream I had. We ended up talking about a lot of stuff. Most of which I don't even remember.

"Anyways, since we're going to be touring together, might as well get to know each other a little more," I said. "You start."

"Ladies before lads," he said.

Wait, why does that sound familiar? I shook it off and sighed. "Well, let's see. I Did dance team and gymnastics, theater group at school. Parents are great, an older sister and Nick is my twin, sadly, which makes me the youngest. Kinda, ish."

"Not much to tell," Sky shrugged. "Moved here and there. Did dance, gymnastics and theater. I was on the World Plus Tour before coming here. Parents are great. Got two brothers and I'm the youngest."

I nodded. "Well, that was deep," I joked.

"So, you nervous for tonight?" Sky asked.

"Kinda," I admitted.

"Well, if it makes you feel better I fell into the orchestra pit. Twice."

"Twice?" I asked a small laugh.

"Once in Seize the day and the other in King of New York."

"Ok, I can see King of New York cause it's slippery, but Seize the Day?" I asked.

"Well...somehow my laces came undone, I tripped on my own two feet and the next thing I know is that I landed on like three trumpet players, I let out a very loud "ow" and to make matters worse my mic was still on," he explained. And I lost it right then and there. We talked a little more before going to the theater. As we were walking and talking I realized a few things. One, that Sky is literally a open book. This kid has no flitter. And the second being he's really easy to talk too.

When we got to the theater we were just in time for rehearsal. After dropping our dance bags whereever we went to go stretch. I saw Nick on the other side of the stage with Zachary. Sky was about to go stretch with Ben and Josh. Before he started I said, "Don't fall into the pit." before walking away.

I then heard Ben and Josh laughing like crazy people then Josh said very loudly, "You actually told her!"

"Thanks Brooklyn," Sky said in annoyance. I only smirked before walking up to Nick, who had that brotherly look on his face. I only shrugged with my most innocent look before stretching.

I started warming up before going into a back bend and from what I could see Ben and Josh were saying something to Sky that made his cheeks flush redder than his hair. I wondered what that was about.

Sky then looked at me for a moment and I smiled and waved. He smiled back before looking away. This morning was really nice. I got to know him and from what I could tell he's really sweet and funny. It's almost like my dream is coming to life. But I'm still not sure. After all it was just a stupid dream, or maybe it wasn't.
