A New City
Brooklyn's POV
I was walking down the street trying to find the theater. I had no idea where I was going and I couldn't call Nick and ask for directions since it would ruin the surprise. I wanted too surprise him at the theater. IF I COULD FREAKING FIND IT!
Plus didn't have any of the other guy's numbers either, besides my phone also died. Great, my first day in a new city and I'm already lost who knows where. After who knows how long of walking around Dallas I walked into Starbucks to get something to drink, and maybe ask for directions.
I got my vanilla with a few shots of hazel ice coffee and was about to head out when someone bumped into me. Good thing it was iced.
"Sorry about that," he said.
"It's ok, I should've watched where I was going," I replied. The person I had bumped into was about a head taller than me, had dark brown eyes, pale, skin, and fiery red hair. After a few moments I recognized him. It had been awhile since I last saw him but if I'm being honest right now there's only one person I know who has hair that kind of fiery red.
"I was the one who wasn't paying attention," he replied. He looked me over and it was in those few moments I think he know who I was. "Brooklyn?" he asked in shock.
"Hey Sky." OOOHHHH CRAP. Now, while I knew I would see Sky at some point, I didn't think it would be like this. Plus, wasn't it Chaz I was supposed to bump in to? Or is this fate that I'm going to end up with Sky? Or maybe I'm over thinking this. Brooklyn, calm down, it was just a stupid dream, while feeling so real at the same time.
"Brooklyn?" he asked again in shock. "As in Brooklyn Masson? Nick's twin sister? The one who's on a dance team and is literally a human tornado? That Brooklyn?"
"In the flesh," I replied with a small shrug. "But really, how many Brooklyns do you know?" I asked.
"Besides the city, not that many. In fact you're the only girl I know with that name," he replied shyly. Wait was he flirting with me? I think he was but at the same time I'm pretty sure that's just who he is.
"Good to know," I said before walking back inside to get a new ice coffee.
Sky followed me in and asked, "So, are you here to surprise Nick?"
"You could say that," I said before ordering my coffee.
Sky went next before following me like a lost puppy to wait for our drinks. "Ok, I grew up with two brothers and I have Ben as a roommate at almost every stop, in other words I can see right through a lie. Spill it Fun Sized." Ok I'll admit I kinda like his nickname for me. It's a little cute if I'm being honest.
"Well if you must know," I said as I crossed my arms and turned to face him. I had to stand on my toes so I could look him in the eyes. Before I opened my mouth to say what I was going to say, something else popped into my mind so I said, "So's the Bronxs." I then smirked and turned away.
....3....2....1....
"You're the new girl!" Sky yelled, which earned him some weird looks from the other people.
"Can you turn out the volume Skybell, I don't think the people in Tokyo could hear you," I said. Anyways, the theater wasn't even that far away. I sure feel stupid.
Nick's POV
"Hey did you guys hear that we're getting a new Girlsie?" I asked. Half of the boys nodded and the other half shrugged.
"I wonder what she looks like," Ben said as he stretched out on his foam roller.
"The only thing I know is that her name is Brooklyn," Josh added. He was right next to ben stretching on the floor. When Josh said that my smile faded a little. I missed my twin.
"So it looks like Brooklyn is coming here," Jeff laughed. We all stared at him and then went back to talking about the new girl.
"Hey Nick, isn't your sister's name Brooklyn?" Chaz asked while flipping through Instagram.
"Yeah," I replied sadly before looking at a picture of us that was taped around the mirror of my station.
"Hey guys," Sky said as he walked into the dressing room. Only took him twenty minutes to get coffee. Which is way longer than you'd think it would be.
"Hey," we all replied.
"You'll never believe who I bumped into, literally," he said. Just then a girl who was shorter than him walked in. She had her light brown hair in a braid, blue or maybe grey eyes, it's hard to tell from afar. A few freckles dotted her face and she was wearing jeans and a simple light blue crop with a white under shirt. And it was that moment I recognized the girl.
"Brooklyn?" I asked in shock "What're you doing here?"
"Can't a girl visit her brother at his job," she replied sarcastically. "Btw, I got you lunch." she held up a brown paper bag and threw it to me. Which somehow land near Ben and Josh.
I then went up and gave her a giant bear hug. We hugged for who knows how long until Josh asked, "What's going on?" That's when things changed gears.
"Ow! What was that for?" I asked while rubbing the arm Brooklyn had just slapped.
"Nicolas Masson, did you forget to tell your friends your twin sister had booked the role of Sniper," she scolded. But I didn't remember her booking any roll or her telling me till now.
"YOU'RE THE NEW GIRL" all the boys yelled.
"My thoughts exactly," Sky said with a smile.
"Thoughts?" Brook asked while facing him. "Because last time I cheeked it was like you were talking into a megaphone!" Same old Brooklyn I see. I laughed and slung my arm around her. Though I'd never say this out loud, I sure missed this girl. Even if she did drive me up the walls a few times. Ok, more like my whole life. But what can I say, she's my twin.
"So, you're the new Sniper," I asked.
"No, I just came here to give you your lunch," she replied. "That apparently Ben and Josh are eating."
I turned around and indeed Ben and Josh were eating my lunch. "Guys!"
"Sorry," they both said with their mouths full. But I'm pretty sure they weren't sorry because they kept eating.
"But seriously, what're you doing here I thought you didn't get any parts. And what about the dance team?" I asked. Dance is Brook's life, how can she just stop when it's literally in her blood.
"Well, I love dance team, but I knew you'd be sad without me so, why not," she explained.
"Sad?" Chaz asked. "He was miserable without you." Brook smirked at me with a knowing look.
"Anyways how did you two meet?" I asked while gesturing between Sky and Brook.
"Would you believe me if I said that we literally bumped into each on the way in and out of Starbucks?" Brook asked innocently.
"Well that explains why your shirt is stained," Chaz said while gesturing to the descent sized coffee stain.
"It's going to be good having you here Brooky, I missed you too much," I said pulling her closer, which earned an "Aw" from pretty much everyone in the room. I gave them a "shut up" look on my face. "Anyways how about I show you around the theater."
"Ok," Brook said. "Bye boys."
"Bye," all the guys replied.
"Oh and Sky, sorry about bumping into you and spilling coffee. But at least it was iced," Brook said before walking out of the room.
"Don't sweat it," Sky shrugged it off. Oh boy, please don't tell me Brook (as in my baby sister) and Sky are crushing on each other. No, this better not happen or I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.
Relax Nick, they just bumped into each other and spilled some coffee, it's not like they're going to be crushing on each other. I mean what are the chances? Besides, life isn't a movie, it's not like they're going to get together
