"Agent 12. Please report Mr. Chang's office immediately." The speaker announced. "What did you do?" Makayla, my best friend questioned. "I don't even know." I shrugged. I got up from my seat and headed to his office. "Good morning, Mr. Chang, what can I do for you?" I smiled, taking a seat on the leather chair across from him. "I'm putting you on an assignment. Some girl recently wished to be noticed by her crush and I thought you would be the perfect gal for this assignment." He explained, interlocking his hands with each other.
"I would love to take this case!" I beamed with excitement. "Ok it's settled. I sent you the files already so they should be downloaded on your computer. You're leaving tomorrow and the place is in Connecticut so pack a lot of coats. You will be playing the role of an out of control teenager." Mr. Chang informed me. "I can't wait!" I exclaimed, leaving his office and running to my little office. I quickly logged onto my laptop and clicked on the file recently sent.
A picture of a pretty girl popped up. "Ashley Ramirez." I read. That's her name and her crush's name is James Westfield. So Ashley was your basic typical good girl with good grades and originating from a wealthy family, but it was obvious her and her parents weren't very close since they're both workaholics. She was remarkably pretty, but she dressed like a prude which hid her body. Has this girl ever heard of a crop top or a skirt? With a dose of being around me, I'll change her in no time. This James guy will be wrapped around her finger in a matter of time.

I peeled myself from my beautiful and warm bed and headed to my bathroom. Today I had my flight to Connecticut and I haven't a packed a thing. I'll be gone for a couple of months so I think I'll just bring my whole wardrobe. I quickly opened my closet and grabbed all of the clothes I can find. I stuffed them in my pink suitcase not caring if they get wrinkled. The only concern I have is if I have enough time to get ready or if all my clothes are going to fit.
After ten minutes of squeezing all my clothes in the suitcase I had finally zipped it up. It was a struggle, but it ended up working out fine. I ran to the bathroom and jumped into the shower. Once I got out of the shower, I brushed my teeth and put a bit of makeup on. I threw on a gray oversized sweater with black tights and my tan UGGs. I decided to leave my hair as it was since it was tamed and it looked decent. Plus I really didn't have time to do my hair. I grabbed my keys and phone before leaving to my car. I threw my luggage into my backseat and drove to the airport.
After an hour of checking in and doing some other required nonsense, I was finally sitting on my seat on the airplane. Ah, first class has never felt so delightful. The things I do for my job which is to fly all the way to Connecticut to help some random girl.
A few years ago, Bryce Willis, founder of Dreamers' Star wished on a star in Connecticut. He knew it was pointless since it wouldn't come true, but it was like an apple fell on him because he then came up with a great idea. Bryce wanted to create a satellite disguised as a star, so when someone goes to wish for something, their dream or wish would be recorded and saved. The government liked and agreed with his idea, because at the time society was filled with depression and no sense of hope. So they thought this star would refill their hope, which is exactly what happened.
As time went by, the government began to hire people in California to work for the foundation. Of course everyone who now works for Dreamers' Star had to took an oath to not say anything to anybody. You'd had to keep it a complete secret or else. Basically we grant peoples' wishes as a living. Also, the government specifically picks particular people for the job, so I was ecstatic and honored that I was chosen. I absolutely love this job! Helping people make their dreams or wishes come true is something anyone would be proud of. Plus the pay isn't bad. In fact, it's really good.
A couple of hours later, I was finally unpacking and putting my clothes away. The doorbell rang causing me to raise an eyebrow. Hm, who can that be? Opening the door, I met eyes with my assignment. The one and only Ashley Ramirez.
"Hi! I just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood! It's not everyday, someone new moves in. Especially someone with kids my age." Ashley smiled. "Thanks! I'm Kylie, I literally just got to the house. My parents aren't in town at the moment, so it's just me for now." I said leaning against the glass door. The air soon thickened with awkwardness. I cleared my throat which didn't even help trying to slice the tension.
"Fucking shit James!"
I quickly looked outside my window.
Oh.
My.
Gosh.
I never thought there was such a thing as heaven until I saw his face.
His eyes seemed like they were looking right into my soul. They were such a gorgeous color. A hazel color that probably made all the girls swoon.
"That's James." She said. "Oh, he's ok I guess." I lied, slightly biting my lip. "Ok?" Her eyes widened. "Well sure he's not ugly but personally he's not my cup of tea." I shrugged, eyeing his every move. "So you guys are friends?" I asked. "Pfft, I wish we would even wave to each other in the hallways." She crossed her arms. "It seems like you need my help." I smirked. "Seems like I don't, but I'll see you at school tomorrow." She simply said, walking to her house leaving me flabbergasted.
I can't believe she denied my help. But in the end I'm going to get the two together and nothing or anyone will get in my way.
