when an abandonment-issued object

meets a commitment-phobic force

it results in a very unsexy stalemate.

i hate the type of girls who always wear

one-size-too-big tops with full-sleeves

that cover half their palms, saying things like

if you put your heart into something

the entire world makes sure you get it

omitting the fact that by entire world

they mean their rich powerful family and friends.

but if they wear the same clothes

sleeves covering half their palms

holding too-big-for-them coffee mugs

sipping silently, percolating poetry

i don't hate them.

in fact, i opposite-of-hate them.
