              genji is a very much reserved person. she doesn't really like to make new friends or be around people in general. she much prefers to be by herself, all alone. it's much easier that way. she doesn't have to put in the effort to try and talk to someone. not being able to talk makes it ten times harder to make friends so she doesn't really try. she sees no reason to. most of the time they don't understand her sign language and she was to write down what she wants to say on a notebook. she absolutely hates doing it because she feels degraded almost. it just makes her uncomfortable so she avoids the situation as a whole. she's very intimidating, having a resting bitch face and always staring off into space. she tends to send out glares more often than not without even realizing it. still it makes not being around many people a lot easier. she's a very honest and blunt person. she won't hop around the truth. she'll tell you how it is straight. she sees no reason to go around the truth. besides the exterior of her, she's actually really sassy and sarcastic. she is always trying to get a comment or two in. it doesn't always translate the best over sign language but hell if she could she speak she would be one sassy lady. she's also very witty and clever. she's quick on her feet and can make split second decisions. she learned this while street fighting.

            𝖇𝖆𝖈𝖐𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖞

              for as long as genji can remember it had always been her mom and her. she doesn't remember her dad nor does she asks about him. all she knows if that he left when she was really young. they have no photos of him and she barely knows a thing about him. she cares little about it now and doesn't feel like asking. her mom did her best in raising her. they weren't rich but they weren't poor either. genji got a lot of things she wanted but she always worked hard to earn them. her mom and her always had a really good relationship with each other. they were practically best friends. though besides that aspect, life only began to get worse for them. when genji was in her early teens she began to have serious throat pain and after multiple doctor visits, they found out that she had cancer of the larynx. at that point it had gotten so bad that the best choice was surgery. it was definitely a hard decision to make since they would be taking out her voice box but they eventually went through with it since it was for the best. from there on out, genji began to learn asl to communicate better with others though it kind of sucked if they didn't know asl. she hates having to do it but she can also write down what she's trying to say if need be. things went smoothly for a while until a few years later her mom suddenly fell ill. she had an incurable illness so all they could do was make her content. to do that they needed medicine and the medicine was expensive. her mom couldn't work anymore so she took on jobs to pay for them. her mom was her world and she wasn't going to let her down. the jobs eventually weren't making her enough money so she tried to find other ways to make money. she was boxing in a nearby gym one day when a man came up to her and told her about these nightly street fights. she went to watch a few fights and eventually thought of giving it a shot. she continued to do well and earned lots of money so she continued. she needed the money afterall.
