CHAPTER ONE: I am not in love, I'm simply interested in the character

TOM'S POV

"I despise him." I declared with Abraxas and Dolohov following closely behind me. "There's not much we can do to him- let me rephrase that there is nothing we can do to him." Abraxas said shaking his head slightly. I turned my back to face him glaring. Dolohov smirked throwing his left arm around Abraxas. "Will you relax Riddle. We will continue as planned just a bit more patience and we will rule the world." He grinned at me winking at the nearby group of female Hufflepuffs.

"Are you not the one who tried casting a spell against the man? Only to fail miserably." Malfoy shrugged his shoulders causing Dolohov's arm to fall. He once again grinned leaving us to snog one of his bimbos. "I will be in the library, make sure he does not bring that filth in our dormitory." I said parting with Malfoy. "Yes my lord." Malfoy nodded and started following Dolohov to stop him from entering our dormitory.

I entered the library hesitantly heading to the muggle aisle to search for a decent book. Professor Dumbledore should be fired for this, forcing such excellent students to read a book written by muggles. How appalling. I picked a book with red leather covering, it seemed new yet old. I occupied my usual table and mentally prepared myself before opening the book.

"What in Merlin's beard" I mumbled reading the first sentence of the book. "Self preservation is like jams and jellies right?" I read as the protagonist Lilith Addams asked her friend. I slowly started reading more until I was completely consumed by the book.

"You just put a man in the hospital, what do you have to say for yourself?" the officer interrogated, her hands chained to the table. "Oops? Look fellas he assaulted me and tried to rape me. I don't know why I'm the one in chains." She rolled her eyes slightly. "How'd you even do it?" the man furrowed his eyebrows "We walked upstairs to the bedroom we walked to the bed, he walked very well I have no idea why he couldn't earlier but yeah. Then I pushed him down the stairs." Lilith smiled at the officer sweetly. The officer widened his eyes, "It was four flights of stairs- of course he wouldn't be able to walk after that!" he yelled.

"My lord it's time for dinner the great hall is almost full." I heard Lestrange's voice causing me to stop reading and put the book down, marking the page. I nodded my head and approached the librarian to notify her I'll be bringing the book with me. She agreed to lend me the book given that I take care of it. "That one's a beaut I tell you. Use to love that story, Lilith is quite the character don't you think so?" She inquired. I simply nodded and left with Lestrange.

After eating I immediately left to read the unfinished book in the comfort of my bed. I changed my clothing and turned the lamp beside my bed on, getting comfortable I opened the marked page and continued reading.

"You don't know pain." She said taking the gun pointed at her stomach higher and higher. "You can shoot me, but never teach me about pain. You don't know pain until you see yourself in the mirror begging yourself to hold on and be strong, that my friend is pain." She stopped moving the gun as it's placed on her temples. He hesitated to shoot her but pulled the trigger only to realize no bullets were loaded. She smiled at him, her eyes glimmered with chaos. She took the knife lying on the cold marble floor and slashed his torso. He hissed at her falling to the ground. "You're a monster Lili." He growled grasping his wound tightly. Laughing she kneeled to his level and looked him in the eye. "Better a monster, than an arrogant God." She stood up lighting his surroundings on fire before meeting his eyes once again. "You'll rot in hell for this!" He yelled at her as the flames slowly circled closer and closer to him. "You'll wait for me there won't you babe?" she smiled before leaving him to the flames.

Completely stunned by her actions I widened my eyes and stared at the back of the book as it was the last page. I read the previous chapters to envision her attributes in my head to sketch tomorrow.

Her black hair cascaded down her shoulders, her collarbone prominent and her curves accentuated by the red dress she wore. Her hair must be long then. Her green orbs radiated warmth, her lips chapped and cheeks rosy she tipped toe to his lips and pecked it lightly.

I furrowed my eyebrows reading the passage again. "I forgot she had a lover." I mumbled recalling her once lover who turned out to be such a knob. "Who had a lover?" Rosier said entering the room along with Abraxas, Dolohov and Mulciber. I shook my head and called him over to my side of the room. "I need you to sketch a woman with these attributes. I need them as soon as possible." I said giving him a piece of parchment with Lilith's attributes. He examined the parchment and widened his eyes. "Oh my Merlin, are you in love?" he asked quietly his lips curving to a smile. "Remember your place Rosier, just do it and finish it quickly. I want it to have everything written in that parchment." I told him my voice monotonous. He nodded staring at the parchment standing up to rejoin the others. "And Rosier this will remain between us do you understand?" I called out to him; he simply smiled turning his back to me.

I am Tom Marvolo Riddle I am not in love; I'm simply interested in the character. I covered myself with my blanket with the thought of Lilith on my mind. "How interesting." I mumbled before closing my eyes sleep washing over me.
