With its sharp claws

Like a marionette

Face pale and dull

Smile and wave
Pay the debt
Practice
Make sure to play the role

Streams of tears
Make thee a fool
Waste every year
Trying to find
What they stole.

Pain sears and sits
Deep within
Desiring to be
Out in the open

A chest
A hole
A key

With a treasure lost inside

A breath
A skip
Of beat

Silently, passionately
Go on with the fight.

Hear the void
Of empty space
