A Dream I Had Last Night
I thought I might as well start things off with a dream I had last night, since it inspired me to make this book.
Sooooo basically I was homeless and living with this pack of children in some kind of Eastern grasslands? I think it was Africa? None of us had parents or some kind of house, and we all lived by this barren tree. We pretty much taught ourselves how to live, I guess. I have no idea what the age range of the children was, but I was about the same age that I am now, maybe a year or two younger. We were found by a group of American adults, and we were brought back to America for some reason. I was taken in by my real-life parents.
Here's where it gets even stranger. I guess some of the kids had some kind of powers for some reason??? I'm not sure if I had powers, since I never did anything. And we were in this city environment, and we were situated in some kind of tall glass building. Anyway, the kids with powers did something, not sure what, but we pretty much just demolished that entire building on accident. Because of this, all of us were deemed threats to society, and we were exiled. But we weren't sent back on some kind of plane or boat or something. We were sent out separately from each other, and we had to walk back. To Africa. From California.
Somehow, I went from this city environment to the desert county where I used to live before moving, but it was apparently supposed to be the same place. I ended up walking with this young girl, about eight or nine, that I do not know in real life. I don't recall the dream ever giving her a name. I have a pretty good idea of what she looked like: a small girl in a blue and white plaid dress, with dark brown/black hair that went just past her shoulders, tied near the bottom. Neither of us were wearing shoes or socks.
The two of us walked for a good while, before I actually came across my real-life grandparents' house. I went in there, said my final goodbyes to my grandparents, and I grabbed my fake snake-skin sandals, my tennis shoes, and some socks. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything in the young girl's size. After we left, we crossed through their backyard, and walked for quite a while through these empty fields with no one else around. One of them was barren and any plants there were dead and pale, and in another one, we were surrounded by overgrown, bright green grass.
And then, somehow, I ended up at my current house. It had some elements of my childhood home, but it was supposed to be my current one, and it was in the same place that my current one is. No idea how we managed to walk there, since my house is thirty minutes driving distance from my grandparents' house, so there is no way we could have walked there in the time we did, but oh well.
This time, my parents didn't know I was there, and I didn't want to approach them because I had no idea how they'd react to my presence. We were in my garage, although it looked slightly different. After we'd rested for a while, I found some kind of plushie of the FNaF Cupcake, and I decided to take that with me, and then we were on our way. My dad almost caught us, but we escaped without being found.
Unfortunately, I have no idea what would have happened next, because that was when I woke up. That is certainly not the strangest dream that I've ever had, but it was very interesting. It was actually one of the dreams I've had that was more grounded in reality, despite the oddness of it.
