Robert's POV

Everyone in the cul-de-sac was at Joseph's house for a backyard barbecue and a sleep over for the neighborhood dads and kids to get to know each other. After all Joseph's house is pretty big. Maybe bigger than Brian's. We were in the backyard waiting for the steaks to be done and I was talking with the new dad in town and Damien. We were talking about anything and everything. Joseph came over and announced that dinner was ready and we could have at it.

We ate soon enough and went inside for the night. The adults went into the living room while the kids scattered between the rooms. All except Crish's room. He needs to sleep. The adults were having a few beers and talking about their kids. Of course the New Dad and Brain were having an all out war of one upping each other. 

I was talking to Mary for a bit before she went off to bed and the men were left alone. Oh boy. We started to watch a horror movie. During the entire movie Damien looked to be pretty anxious. The New Dad and Brian were next to him. Hugo, Mat and Craig  were on the floor laying down. And that left Joseph and I on the love seat. There was a scare that didn't get anyone else in the room. Just Damien. He jumped on to Brian's lap and Brian laughed. 

"You okay buddy?" he asked in his deep voice. 

Damien had a sweat drop but nodded "Yes thank you my friend." he said. Brian put him down and the New Dad gave him a hug. 

"It's just a movie Damien, it's okay." he said. 

We smiled at him. "Do you want to watch something else, Damien?" Joseph asked. 

He shook his head. "No, no. It is quite all right. I wouldn't want to ruin the fun." he said with a slight blush. 

Joseph nodded but the rest looked at Damien. "We can watch something else if you'd like. We don't mind." Mat said. 

The rest nodded or gave a yeah. Joseph stood and looked at us. "What do we want to watch instead?" he asked. 

The New Dad smiled. "How about Long Haul Paranormal Ice Road Truckers?" he asked. 

The rest of us smiled. "That sounds good." 

Joseph put in the newest season and we began to watch. Although it wasn't scary it was pretty funny. Damien seemed to calm down and we were happy. Soon enough one by one we began to fall asleep. The first to sleep was The New Dad. Then it was Craig and Mat. Then Hugo and Damien. Brian after that and then it left me alone with Joseph. 

He looked tired as he yawned. "You tired?" I asked. He shrugged. "Not too bad." I looked at the clock. It was already 3:15 in the morning. Damn. I gave a yawn and he chuckled. "We should sleep." he said. I nodded and stretched a bit. We leaned on opposite sides of the couch and he turned everything off before we began to snore peacefully through the rest of the night. 

~That Morning~ 

I woke up with a bit of a weight on my shoulder. I blinked and rubbed my eyes with my other hand. I looked at what was causing the weight on my shoulder. It was a mess of blonde hair. There was a bit of snoring coming from it too. I looked to see if  Joseph was over at the end of the bed. His legs were there. So it meant that his head was on my shoulder. I blushed deeply and he began to move and wake up. He looked at me and blinked a few times before blushing too. He sat up away from me stuttering. 

"I-i'm sorry I didn't mean to." he said. 

I looked at him and smiled. "This never happened." I said. 

He nodded and took a breath. He stuck his hand out and we shook hands. "Deal." he said. That was when we heard the laughing. We looked to see the rest of the dads not in the living room anymore. They were all in the kitchen and Craig had a camera. He and the rest of the dads were laughing. They took a picture. 

"You two are so cute bros!" he said. 

I growled. "You give me that camera." I said before I ran at him. He moved and ran out of the house and I followed. They were smart to give it to Craig. He's pretty fast. Damn. Joseph came out and put a hand on my back. 

"Let him go, Robert." he said. I looked at him and sighed. 

"Alright."
