I woke up and flew out of bed. The excitement of seeing mom again thrilled me! I got ready fast and headed down for breakfast. My stomach growled at the thought of warm food awaiting me. My body was sore from all the work out I did back at the dream headquarters and I moaned in pain when I launched myself down the steps. "Mom?" I asked around me. Silence answered my call aswell as an absent mother. Did she not come home? There was no letter awaiting me at the table. All my excitement went away as I headed to the fridge to make some cereal. I quickly put it together and headed off to the living room to sit down on the cushion sofa. I plopped myself on the couch and proceeded to turn on the TV. I slammed my cereal down when I saw the news. "News cast 2.0 out live to the see the unexpected murder at Wellington High school between a girl named Rebecca Snow and a girl named kelly Smith, Rebecca has been put in custody and the school is now closed for the moment. These kinds of murders has increased drastically and the police are doing the best they can to stop it. Keep watching for more upcoming news reports," the TV blasted out. I started shaking, how could this be? The nightmares has gotten worse, I will need to tell the Boss. In the meantime I will figure out where my mom went. I grabbed my cell phone and called my mom. No answer. Great! This is just amazing! (Note my sarcasm) "Crash! Boom!" Thunder sounded outside. Well now it was pouring rain, nice... (dammit mother nature) I sighed and plopped myself on the couch. "Bark, bark, whine, whine," a dog sounded outside. I reluctantly walked outside and went in search of the dog. A few minutes passed and I found the poor dog next to a bush by the street. It was shivering and her eyes where pleading shelter. "No collar huh? Well let me take you home,"I said to the dog. (Don't ask why I talked to her. By the way the dog is a she) I cradled her in my soaked arms and scurried home. I entered freezing and ran to get towels for us both. I took off my soaked clothes and changed to warmer clothes, as I watched the grateful dog shake the water off her fur. When I was done I cradled her in my arms again to dry her with the pink towel, which lasted a few minutes. I released her on my bed and I sat down. She pounced at me and began licking my face making me laugh. I held her down and decided to get her something to eat. I scanned the fridge for some steak and was lucky to find some for her to happily chow down. "You know what? I call you Star. You like that my little Star?"I got confirmed with a lick of approval and a tail wag. I petted her and tried to dial my mom again... heh same result. A buzz came from my phone alerting me of murder happening all around the world, from different people. I need to start training soon, before it gets even more disastrous and before my town turns into a bloody warfare. Star started whimper and nudged my hand with her little furry head. I chuckled and scratched her behind her ears. "Why don't we watch something more happier!" I exclaimed while I grabbed the remote to put on a funny show to watch and for the next few hours we enjoyed the shows Monk, Psych, and many more. Time flew by and the sky turned dark, I knew it was time to get ready... I prepared and headed upstairs for bed with Star close to my heels and crept quietly in my bed."Sleep!" I told my body. Let's just say my body refused to listen. Star jumped on my bed and curled up close to my feet in tiredness and her warmth made me slowly drift to sleep. A thought crept into my head,"I am not alone."

I woke up to the sound of an alarm, yells echoed the hallway, and red lights clouded my view. I was back in headquarters, but what in the world happened? I quickly got up and scanned the room for Nessa, but to my dismay she wasn't there. I walked out the door to see agents running down the halls looking like they were in a hurry with stacks of papers filling their arms. I quickly ran towards Boss' office picking off speed as I went. When I finally got there, Boss was staring out the window. "Uh Boss, what's going on?" I questioned. "It seems that the nightmare have been seeping into people's minds and influencing them into committing crimes that lead to murder. The staff are all panicking because the agents we have sent out to deal with the nightmares have been coming dead to show us a lesson from the dark king."said Boss with concern. "I see... Can I help in any way?"I offered. Boss sighed and sat down in his tall leather chair, "Zach it seems that you would have to go on your mission a bit early than usual, but don't worry Nessa will be there with you every step of the way." I gasped and my eyes widened,"I haven't even finished training yet, how do you expect me to survive out there?" " I hold every inch of confidence that you will do just fine, for all you are doing is getting rid of a few groups of these monsters a time. Zach Night good luck!" I walked out in dismay. What the heck am I supposed to do out there? What if something goes wrong? Whelp might as well wing it. Nessa here I come!
