Chapter Thirty-Nine
Eon Jeong
"Your meals never fail to impress me." Yeong Mi smiled brightly. "Anyway you said we needed to talk?"
I looked towards Jihyun who gave me a reassuring smile. I took a deep breath and took a sip of the water.
"Yeong Mi, you're the first one I've told. So keep it a secret okay?" I asked. She nodded. "I'm pregnant."
I swear I heard her heart stop for a second and her eyes widened. Jihyun sat perched on the edge of his seat, anxious to see her reaction.
"That is adorable!" She coo'd. "Imagine tiny little you and Jimin's running around!"
I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding.
"Jihyun knows as he overheard your mother talking to me." I gestured to the male. He nodded and she nodded.
"How far along?"
"Approximately three months." I smiled. She stood and pulled me up from the seat and her eyes widened at the little bump.
"Hiya little vamp-witch." She coo'd crouching down and talking to my stomach. "It's aunt Yeong Mi."
I smiled and watched her caress my stomach.
"I have my scan in a few days." I spoke. She grinned and her eyes lit up.
"Can I come with you?" Her eyes met mine. I nodded laughing.
"Jihyun is coming too." I smiled. She nodded.
--
I laid on the bed as the nurse applied the cold gel. I heard my phone ring and Yeong Mi went and picked it up.
"Jungkook, I'll answer it." She spoke. I nodded and she walked out.
"How long has it been since you found out?" She asked.
"About two months?" I smiled. She nodded and went to put the thing on my stomach when Yeong Mi ran back in.
"The boys are back." She breathed heavily. "Jimin is on his way. I didn't tell him why we are at the hospital but he's worried."
"We'll wait outside." Jihyun smiled and left the room dragging Yeong Mi with him.
"I'm sorry to be a pain, but can we wait until my fiancé gets here?" I asked.
"Of course, this is a special moment." She grinned. I nodded and she wiped down my stomach before pulling the blankets over me. I smiled and laid in the bed as she pottered about cleaning things. "How long have you two been together?" She asked.
"Four years." I smiled. It wasn't a lie, it was just technically.
"I'm guessing you haven't told him yet?"
"No, he was away on business." I sighed and she grinned.
"I'm glad I can witness his reaction."
Ten minutes later and Jimin burst through the door. Complete panic in his face.
"Oh my god, are you alright?" Tears welled up in his eyes. I nodded and he ran over and I propped myself up and hugged him.
His arms wrapped around me tightly.
"I'm fine I'm fine." I giggled softly. "Right can you close your eyes for a second, I just have to take this off."
He nodded and closed his eyes and faced the wall. The nurse applied the gel and put the scanner on my stomach she moved it about until you could see an outline of a child.
"Can you guide him back?" I laughed quietly and the nurse nodded and let me hold the scanner as she pulled him back over and faced him the screen.
"What's taking you so long?" He huffed.
"Jimin... open your eyes pabo." I smiled and he uncovered and opened his eyes. He blinked a few times the tears that had disappeared from earlier had returned.
"I-Is that...?" He stuttered and I nodded as his eyes left the screen and fluttered down to me.
"Yeah, it's our child." I smiled and teared up at his reaction. Although, unlike him, my tears didn't drop. His hands flew to cover his mouth as he stared at the screen. Tears rolling down his cheeks.
"The baby is really healthy for such a young age." The nurse commented softly. "You're just under three months. I'd say your due date is ending of September. The beginning of October."
"This is really happening..." Jimin choked out and sat down on the chair behind him.
"I'll print out some pictures of the scan for you." The nurse commented as she wiped the gel off. "I'll be five minutes."
I pulled my shirt down and sat up in the bed and swung my legs over the edge. I stood up and Jimin looked over my stomach.
"Oh my god, I'm going to be a Dad." Jimin whispered. "You don't understand how happy-" he cut himself off and wrapped his arms around me gently.
"Surprise..." I smiled softly. He pressed his lips to my forehead and grinned.
"You're going to be a great mum." He whispered softly. "We're going to make a great little family, you, me and our little bump."
"You're going to make the best Dad." I smiled and played with his hair as his hands rested on the tiny little bump.
"Here." The nurse spoke and handed us an envelope. "The next scan will be in four weeks."
"Thank you." I smiled brightly at her and she grinned before holding the door open for us and we walked out.
