Chapter Thirty-Eight

Eon Jeong

Two months had passed since then, and no one from the boys had gotten in touch.

My bump was starting to show, so I called Yeong Mi up.

"What's up? I'm just about to go out."

"Yeong Mi..." I took a deep breath, my nerves getting ahold of me. "When are you free next? I need to speak to you."

"I'll be able to come around at dinner time?" She spoke.

"That's perfect." I smiled. "See you then!"

So the whole day I spent blasting music and cooking for dinner. I missed the presence of someone at the house, but I had gotten used to being alone.

I finished cooking as my doorbell rang. I skipped over to the door, my apron tied around me and my hair up messily. I answered the door. There stood Jihyun.

"Oh my, Yeong Mi you have changed so much!" I laughed quietly. "Jihyun, please come in. What's bothering you?"

"My brother still doesn't know, does he?" Jihyun spoke as he walked inside. The cold starting to nip at my fingers. I shut the door.

"None of the boys have gotten in touch with me since the day I found out." I whispered quietly. "I want him to know, but I want to see his reaction in person. Although, I'm really scared."

"I know you must be scared, but trust me. He's been alive 100 years. Ever since I was born, all I remember is him talking about how much he would want his own child. How he wants his own little baby to cuddle in his arms." Jihyun spoke. "You won't be pushed away because of you carrying his child."

"Thank you Jihyun, whilst your here please stay for dinner with Yeong Mi and myself. Although she hasn't arrived yet."

"I would love to." He grinned and took off his jacket and put it on the hanger.

"Honey I'm home!" Yeong Mi called out as she just strolled into the house.

"I'm telling her tonight after the meal." I spoke to Jihyun quietly before going to the kitchen and dishing up three plates of food.

"Yeong Mi it's great to see you again." Jihyun spoke. I balanced the food in my hands and placed it down.

"Would you like something to drink?" I looked at the two.

"Wine please." Yeong Mi smiled.

"Make sure it's red." Jihyun smiled. I nodded and went and got three glasses and poured two with wine and one with some water.

"Why aren't you drinking?" Yeong Mi asked as she sat down.

"Ah never been a wine drinker myself." I lied and sat down. Jihyun sat down as well and we dug in.
