Chapter Nine
Eon Jeong
I woke up the next day on the bed in the basement. Jimin had no evidence of a bite on his neck. I smiled and sat up. The door of the basement flung open. I sat up brushing my hair with my fingers.
"I didn't hear any screaming once Jimin came down." Yeong mi commented winking. Jungkook sighed and looked at me.
"Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded and Jimin grumbled tugging the blankets around him. I laughed quietly.
"I'm fine now, thank you." I smiled brightly at the two in the doorway.
"What was wrong?" Yeong Mi asked. "I've never heard of witches powers do that to them before solstice."
"I guess I best tell you." I sighed and looked at them. "Since the incident where I died, the family vampire gene has been fighting the witch gene within me. It happens to every witch in our family at some point in time. Only blood can solve it."
"So basically you're currently half vampire?" Jungkook asked wide eyed.
"Yeah... Jimin knew. I don't know how." I spoke quietly. "He gave me some of his blood."
"He said it's to do with the bond you two have." Jungkook spoke softly. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I've been dealing with it alone the past three years." I spoke. "I'll fix the basement up for you."
With that I waved my hands about and watched as the dints in the wall became unblemished. The chains were back on the wall and whatever was broken was fixed. I slid out of bed and saw dried blood on my clothes, however it was mine.
"We'll leave you two to wake up properly." Yeong Mi spoke. I nodded and they walked upstairs. I flopped back into bed and Jimin pulled me close tight cuddling into me.
"Jimin-ie..." I whispered quietly. Pressing soft kisses across his face. "You need to get up..."
"I don't wanna..." He whined quietly. I laughed.
"Jimin, you need to..." I whispered pressing a kiss to his forehead. "But happy birthday my little Jimin-ie."
His eyes shot open at that remark.
"You knew?" His eyes widened.
"Of course I did, who do you think sent you postcards in the post?" I laughed and his eyes widened further, if that was possible.
"That was you?" He choked out. I nodded and he hugged me tightly. I laughed and he kissed my cheek. "Thank you."
"It's no problem." I whispered quietly he sat up.
"Guess how old I am in vampire years." He smirked.
"You're the big 100." I spoke smiling. "I'm not clueless you know."
"You're amazing." He breathed looking down at me. I giggled and rolled out of bed.
"You're going to have to get up." I laughed and he nodded and followed me up the stairs. When we got there I darted underneath the boys grasps and they all smushed Jimin into a hug.
"Yeong Mi can I speak to you?" I asked. She nodded and I led her to my room.
"What's up?" She asked. I rumbled through my bag before finding the box.
"Barrier magic, sound." I spoke quietly. A glimmering barrier formed around us. "I got him this for his birthday. It's a ring from the divine forest."
"That's like... really costly!" She exclaimed and I opened the box and the ring was sat there catching the sunlight.
"I know, but I don't know when to give it to him." I spoke. "I put my own enchantments on it though too."
"Well Jin is cooking dinner for tonight for a small party we're throwing. Jimin doesn't know. You could give it to him after dinner." She spoke.
"But people might think it's an engagement ring." I whispered.
"A ring from the divine forest is basically the same thing." She spoke. "And so what if people think it's an engagement ring?"
"True."
"Anyway, you need to get ready to go out." She spoke. "You're our cover for getting the party underway."
