Here's Chara probably one of the most evil characters ever. I have a question to those who know undertale pretty well. Who else thinks before Chara died they acted differently then how they act now. After all Chara has been dead for a while and probably had to watch many humans die while in the underground. Also Chara no long has a soul. I think it's kinda like how Flowey acts so differently compared to Asriel. Flowey has no soul. Chara doesn't have a soul anymore because it was absorbed when they died. I think Chara may have been actually nice. Like the conversations that happened in the waterfalls repeated by the EchoFlowers.

Maybe they aren't as evil as they appear. Strange to think about isn't it?
