Hi guys long time no see I have something I wanted to show you:

It took a while to make and I tried my best with the shading. Due to reasons I can't say much in order to not reveal spoilers

What I loved:

Color- For colors I mainly went with dark pastels ranging from Purple to blue, the main character outfit was supposed to be made with Crystals so I went with a water color effect (as usual). This connects to what I also loved when working on it down below:

Design choices-
The dress I had some fun with, Using a pale blue to start. The I added the colors, reasons I started with pale blue is because I wanted to give that crystal effect, though it was hard. Making said Crystals I wanted people to see pop so I went with a shade of blue that stood out from the main character's magical girl outfit.

Symbolism-
Ropes
Multiple of the robes is green a different shade from the characters eyes, the ropes tying the main character down where supposed to represent envy, The purple ropes binding the character's body are supposed to represent expectations and the darker purple ropes Basically means Goals, ambitions and risk they might be higher but they ARE looser.

Galaxy, space-
I had a hard time with this, however like I said up top I chose colors from Purple to Blue, the reasons is that while It looks beautiful it's stoic, I wanted the Pop along with the cover along with looking shiny and eye catching so I went with A Starlight yellow (basically a pale yellow but I like to call it that) The Yellow I used represented Life or hope around space (and for that glowing effect) :)

What I could work on:

Details-
It's kinda hard to explain but what I mean is I wish I could had added more details to make the ropes look like ropes (which I could if I didn't use thin line art for said ropes, along with the fact It looked weird in my opinion when putting the lines on thin rope flats) along with making The character, and the wand looking more polished.

My drawing style is a rough sketch, then flats, details, and trying to finish up everything.

Shading-
This is a problem I have when finding out where shadows would go, so I try to pretend where I would think the shadows would go like where's the light coming from and It worked (so to speak).
