I just want to help

With what little I can

As I only have my hope

Faithful love and a simple brain

Because I knew how it felt

And I'm still here with my pain

Even so I choose the light

Over the hole that may drain

My self of my feel and sight

Heart and mind in my pen

Laying down my fright and might

For any and everyone in the open

Giving out freely for their insight

May they see and feel what's written

To live alive and be bright

Understanding may they so then

And choose how one wants to fight

There's always a choice and way even hidden

In this endless battle through life's plight

You may ask what is there for me to gain

Nothing if just warmth and smile in delight

To feed my happiness and stay sane
