Why envying beauty's temporality

In those frangrant flowers of deceit

Instead of the long-lasting solidity

Of a diamond heart much more concrete?

It seems like folly is all humanity

Can see and do without care for merit

Striving for its own illusionary stability

Endangering the whole that would inherit
