Ô dear humble so noble Edelweiss

Charmingly simple and flawless

I have a little bit to confess

I've been dragging in my chest

Taking away most of my rest

This obsession for conquest

Of that far away foreign land

Where you took root to stand

Parched soil you withstand

Just so I could see you bloom

And take away some gloom

From all grievances that loom

Over around in my distorted world

That stripped justice of its sword

To kill all things and live in discord

Disregarding the gift from high

The compassionate love they deny

Even though they can't help to envy

Just as how I admire your might

Staying on fields offering you slight

Your beauty unveiled in light and night
