Coffee Break
Chase was on his phone waiting for their break, they have been sitting there for what felt like hours. He didn't know when that break was coming but it was bound to come sooner or later. He then felt a touch on his shoulder, he looked up and it was Atlas.
"Come on! I'm closing down for the day. I hope you have a café in mind. If not at least a deli."
He got up, looking at them with a confused look.
"Why a deli?"
"Because I'm a slut for Monsters. Why else?"
He started to laugh as he opened the door for them. Atlas walked out as he followed suit, waiting for them to close up the shop for the day. By the time they were done, they looked at him, asking him,
"So, how did the tattoo settle on you?"
"Oh I completely forgot about that."
Atlas chuckles, lifting up the back of his shirt to see it.
"It looks good so far! Now my second question, café, do you have one in mind?"
They put his shirt down, looking at him. Chase nodded his head.
"I mean..Starbucks works?"
"Fine by me, is it in walking distance?"
"Yeah I checked on my phone."
"Alright, well.. you lead the way Dora"
"D-Dora?!"
Atlas laughs as Chase sighs as he puts his phone away, walking ahead as Atlas followed. Chase was thinking of topics to talk about to pass the time. He could talk about anime but he isn't sure what kind of anime they even like. He looks back at them
"So..Do you like Dragon Ball?"
"Yes. Of course! How else do you think I drew that tattoo? I drew it from memory Chase."
"Then..Favorite character?"
"Is every one an answer?"
Chase chuckles, looking at Atlas. Atlas took off their plastic gloves, putting it in their pockets, looking at Chase.
"Are you an expresso kind of guy or?"
"Iced Coffee"
"Really?"
"Mhm. And I do shots when it's a Friday."
"As the saying goes it's a Friday somewhere am I right Chase?"
They chuckle as he smiles. By the time they both got to Starbucks, he opens the door for them.
"Sluts for Monsters first."
"...Damn you."
They laugh as they walked in, Chase chuckling, following suit. He went to the counter to order for the both of them as Atlas went to get a table for them both. By the time Chase gotten both of their orders, he set one in front of them. He then sat across Atlas. He looks at them, sipping on their Iced coffee.
"So..What made you want to become a tattoo artist?"
"Well, it's a side job really. I want to become an engineer! But this pays off the bills needed and well..I self taught myself to draw since the artistic blood runs in the family so I stuck to this. What about you?"
"Car Mechanic, but it's hard to do so when you can't see green."
"...So how did you know this was the logo for Starbucks then?"
"I said I can't see green Atlas, I'm not illiterate."
They chuckle, nodding their head.
"Right right, say..how far do you live from the parlor?"
"Not that far, besides I usually get my parts for my pc next to your parlor."
"Really? What games do you play?"
"A lot of fighting, first person shooter, and if I want to throw my mouse like my friend, I simply play Minecraft."
"..Why Minecraft?"
"PvP on Bedwars. Need I say more?"
Atlas spat out their drink, laughing as Chase's eyes widen, blinking.
"...Well I'll smell like an expresso for the rest of the day."
Atlas started to wheeze, trying to say the words "I'm sorry", but it was covered up by their laughing. Chase sighs, shaking his head as he got up to get some napkins to clean off the Expresso from his clothes and face. He walked back to Atlas, while they were finally calming down, he grabs their hand, looking at them.
"You can get home by yourself right?"
Atlas nods their head, smiling.
"Yeah..Thanks for the expresso. Smell you later."
"...Yeah, see you later perfume."
"Perfume?"
"Yeah since you sprayed the expresso on me."
They both laugh, as Chase left the Starbucks, going back to the parlor tomorrow. After all, he forgot to get their number.
