Another Tattoo
Chase was in his house, calm and collected as usual, I mean after all, the past few days have been wonderful. He gained a date, and nothing bad happened. He sat up on his couch, thinking to himself if he should tell his friends, but then again, nothing has been really solidified yet. After all, they're just talking. He was thinking to himself, until he went through his phone, noticing that he didn't get their number. He inhales then exhales.
"Yeah, score for Chase. Fucking..So close yet so far. I hope I have the fucking business card.."
He goes through his wallet, hoping that he still had it. Until he pulled it out, sighing in relief. He then called up the parlor, hoping that they are still there. It kept on ringing, until the last ring, somebody picked up.
"Hello? This is Atlas speaking!"
"Atlas? Oh thank god. I wanted to speak with you-"
Before he could even finish his sentence, he heard the phone get shuffled and somebody else was on the line.
"Hello? Atlas?"
"Who the hell are you?"
"A client. Who are you?"
"Name's Jenny. Atlas's assistant."
Until he heard Atlas's voice from afar
"Yeah a shitty helper!"
They both laughed, Chase was flat out confused. He might as well schedule something for today, to see who that person is.
"Well, is there any open slots?"
"For when?"
"Today."
"Oi! Atlas you got any time today?"
There was faint talking in the background, Chase was just sitting there, praying that they did. Until he heard a voice go back onto the phone.
"Yeah, they do. Around 3pm. And that will be in.. 20 minutes so get your sorry ass over here. Okay? Okay."
Chase looked at the time and Jenny was right. It would be in 20 minutes. Chase quickly got his things together and bolted out the door.
~20 minutes later~
Chase ran into the store, panting hard. His hands on his knees, looking around as Jenny was right there, wearing a sweater, some sweatpants and black sneakers with their brunette hair in a pony tail. They look at each other, as Chase stood right up, looking around.
"Where's Atlas?"
"Finishing up a customer, what do you want tho?"
"...I..I want-"
Atlas would walk in from the back room as they looked at Chase.
"Oh! That was fast! Well, what can I get you Chase?"
"..Your phone number on my arm."
Both Atlas and Jenny froze up a bit. Atlas looks at Chase, blinking.
"..Why?"
"..I forgot to ask your phone number yesterday."
Jenny rolls her eyes
"Are you serious? You couldve asked. I mean Atlas did mention something about going out with some dude. I guess you're that dude?"
Chase nodded his head, smiling a bit.
"Who has sometimes a memory issue when it comes to important things, like their phone number."
Atlas laughs and took out a sharpie and wrote their phone number on his arm.
"There, happy with your service?"
Chase looks at the number, nodding their head with excitement. No way in hell will his friends believe what he gotten. But he hopes that he gets out of talking situation and possibly go into the dating situation. But knowing him with his luck, he just might need advice. After all, it's easy to swoon a person if you known them for a while, Chase don't know how to do the right thing to earn their heart. He was lost in thought, until he heard
"Well I'll see you around babe."
"You too babe."
Chase looks at them, tilting his head.
"You..you two are together?"
"What? No!"
Jenny chuckles and shakes her head.
"Nope. I have my own lover, but they call everyone Babe. If you're their close friend."
Atlas nods their head, smiling.
"Yep! Well. If that's all you need, I'll see you around babe!"
Chase blushes slightly, nodding his head.
"Cya around..babe?"
Atlas laughs, nodding their head.
"Yeah! Cya!"
Chase smiles, as he nods his head, walking out the door, trying to keep in his excitement.
