Samantha was in her room, watching anime as usual. The air around her was quiet, but with her earphones on, it seemed as if a whole adventure was going on instead. She rested her chin in the palm of her hand, just as the intense moment started. She bit her lip as her focus increased.

But her focus did not last long. Just as the antagonist was about to raise his sword over his head, her phone started to vibrate, signalling that someone was calling her. She paused the video and sighed, picking it up to see who was calling.

"America...?"

She and America hadn't really talked often, so it was strange for him to call her so suddenly. She answered the call and held the phone to her ear.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Sam." His voice was urgent and panicked. "Have you seen Shelby? Is she with you right now?"

"Sorry, Alfred. Shelby's not with me right now, and she's rarely ever come to--" She was interrupted by the doorbell. "Hold on, I need to get the door."

Quickly walking to the door, she opened it. Her eyes widened as they met with the American girl standing right outside.

"Never mind, I lied. She's outside our door right now."

"Oh, thank goodness. Quick, put me on the speakerphone. SHELBY HOW DARE YOU RUN AWAY WITHOUT TELLING ME?! I LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR YOU!" he screamed.

"Sorry Alfred," the girl replied.

"Anyways, I can't be in that kind of mood anymore. I gotta prepare for the party! See ya!" Then he hung up.

Samantha turned her attention to her friend.

"So what are you doing in Hong Kong? You don't come here often."

"I gotta ask a favor of China. Is he here?" Shelby asked.

Samantha was slightly surprised at her response. "Yeah. He's in his room."

"Thanks, man."

Shelby made her way to the room down the hallway. Samantha trailed behind her. They passed Hong Kong, who was standing in the doorway of his room. He followed them out, curious to see what was going on.

"What does she want with China?" he asked. Samantha shrugged in response.

When they reached the room, Shelby knocked on the door and went in. China was sitting at his desk tapping at his laptop.

He looked up from his computer and smiled. "Hello Shelby. This certainly is a surprise."

"You know how Trump is the president of the United States now?"

The country nodded. "Ya, that guy is terrible, aru."

"Right? So I was wondering if I could move to China."

Samantha and Hong Kong's mouths dropped open in shock.

China raised an eyebrow. "You sure? You'll have to work extra hard in school and university. They have around," he counted his fingers, "11 classes per day in a local grade school and you'll have to stay at the school dorms for the whole week, aru. But you'll get to go home after school to your families on Friday and come back on Sunday."

He paused to sip his tea. "A successful life is hard here, y'know. Since everyone's fighting for the top spots in a university or for a job. Hong Kong might be a better option for you since they take it easier. But everyone there works hard too. To be honest, America might be the best option. You've already applied for a university and gotten a scholarship. Plus, you've got your boyfriend America."

Shelby turned around to see Hong Kong and Samantha wiggling their eyebrows and smirking at her. She blushed red. "Not helping, guys. How did you know about that?"

"Hey, I may be old but I never miss out on the juicy gossip. Especially not when America's been announcing it to the whole world. Literally." He grinned.

"Anyways, back to the topic. Could I at least please stay here until Trump isn't the president anymore?" she begged.

Samantha and Hong Kong exchanged a grin.

"Yeah, boss. Why not let her stay for a while?" Hong Kong chided.

"Four years isn't that long, at least for you, since you've lived so long," Samantha added.

"Aiya--"

"Think of all the fun we'll have!" Samantha exclaimed.

"C'mon, old man. Lighten up."

China narrowed his eyes at them. "Why does it seem like you two are planning to do something evil? To me?"

"Oh? We would never do something like that to you. Why would you ever think that?" Samantha asked innocently.

"You're overthinking too much. Relax. Like, why not? What's the harm in staying for a while?"

Samantha walked over and put an arm around his shoulder. "I'll give you memes if you let her stay."

"Why are you bribing me now?!"

She laughed nervously. "You musn't let your dreams be dreams! Just do it!" she whispered dramatically, clenching her fist.

"That's right, bro," Hong Kong added, nodding.

"Okay, okay, fine," China sighed. "You are gonna keep nagging me if I say no."

"Nice," Shelby said.

"But just for a week."

"Oh well." Samantha shrugged. "We're going to have so much fun."

"I knew you were plotting something evil," China muttered.

The other three just grinned in reply.
