二十三: Behind the Camera
Samantha heard quiet cackling as she passed by Hong Kong's room. She stopped and decided to check it out. She walked right up to his door and barged right in without knocking, smiling widely.
"What are you doing, HK?" she inquired.
Hong Kong let out a startled gasp and tried to pile all the items on his bed back into a small box.
"Nothing," he replied quickly.
"I don't think so," Samantha said, tapping her chin. "If it was nothing, why would you be acting like that, then?"
"Fine. You got me. But I'm not showing you," he muttered.
"Please?" she begged. "If it was that funny, I want to see it! And I've never heard you actually laugh like that before."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"No," Samantha mumbled, trying to get him to say yes.
"Yeah that's right, I'm not showing you anything."
"Aww, come on! Please?"
"Nope." He turned around.
She hugged him from behind like a little kid would do. "Please~?"
Hong Kong huffed. "No way."
"Is it your giiirlfriiieeend?"
"What? No! I don't have a girlfriend!" he exclaimed.
"Then there must be nothing wrong with them. Show me."
"Not a chance."
She gasped dramatically, then leaned over to his ear. "Is it porn?" she whispered.
"No!"
"Then show meee," she whined.
"No way."
"Why not?"
"Because."
Samantha shook her head and sighed. "Then I'll have to take it from you by force. I don't want to do this, Hong Kong, but I will if I have to."
He chuckled. "Force? What for--"
"Yaaaah!"
The girl launched herself up and tackled him to the ground, catching him off guard. She swiped the box from his hands, and he grabbed her ankle, pulling her back so she couldn't escape. She twisted around, letting her foot loose from his hand.
They wrestled on the ground for a few minutes, then Samantha finally pulled his arm to the ground and sat on his back. He struggled from under her, attempting to get free, but unfortunately he was pinned to the ground.
Hong Kong sighed in defeat. "Fine. Look at them."
Samantha opened the box happily, revealing handfuls of Polaroid pictures of her and China and occasionally him.
She giggled, flipping through the pictures. "I never knew you shipped us so much."
"Can you get off? You're heavy," Hong Kong grumbled from under her.
Samantha frowned. "You're going to take back all the pictures though," she replied.
"I won't, okay?"
The girl reluctantly got off Hong Kong. He sat next to her on the floor.
"Wow. This is quite embarrassing," she snickered as she looked at one of China dancing around in his pajamas with a spoon as a microphone.
"Hey. Look at this one." Hong Kong showed her a selfie with both Samantha and China sleeping on the grass.
"I remember that!" she exclaimed. "You're surprisingly photogenic."
"Thank you."
She picked up another photo, chuckling at how China had worn his hair in pigtails.
They laughed at the embarrassing pictures together, Samantha almost screaming with laughter at the next one. Hong Kong laughed as well, a goofy grin on his face.
After they had calmed down, they sat quietly, the only sounds emitting from them being heavy breaths from laughing so hard.
"This is a secret just between you and me, okay?" Hong Kong said sternly. "Let's not let China know about this."
"Okay," she replied, smiling. "Oh, and by the way, I like your smile. You should smile more often."
He shrugged, his face returning to his normal expression.
"Sure. I'll try."
