I feel like this list needs at least 20 disclaimers lol. Here are the most important four:

1. I've said before that I don't love creature fics but these were good enough to temporarily change my mind. Who knows, it might be the same for you!

2. Pretty much everything here will have a dub-con warning because thus is the nature of a creature fic. People are rarely in their right mind when they're running on animal instincts (in my opinion, at least). Despite this, many of the stories on this list contain very explicit and enthusiastic verbal consent from participants.

3. I know ABO dynamics are a squick for some people, so I tried to make sure to put that in the tags whenever applicable.

4. Read the author's tags too! Some are more inappropriate than I'm willing to put on Wattpad since I've yet to rank this collection mature. Should I do that? Probably. I vaguely recall some inappropriate ramblings of mine at the beginning of this project.

This is one of the hottest fics I've ever read and it has almost nothing to do with the actual smut.

I'm very particular about not liking situations where one or more of the characters is unable to have any control. The healers treating him in the excerpt are not doing anything bad, he's just unaware of that.

Commentary: The first ABO fic I read and liked! There's so much more here than just "animal instincts" and that's why I enjoyed it. Harry and Draco are still believable versions of themselves, and the typical ABO aspect is actually a sort of unique take. Draco has never knotted before, and Harry is going to help him try. They have to practice a lot before they get the hang of things. There's actually quite a bit of plot and relationship development in this one, despite being focused on the eventual smut.

Commentary: oh, this one is soooo good. I don't remember the specific title of Luna's job, but she works with Harry on the behind-the-scenes aspect of modelling, and it's so fun. Equally fun, Harry spends a lot of time considering if he's willing to accept the possibility of being with Draco long-term, because he knows that it won't be a one-off between them (both because of their history and because Draco's a Veela). Their dynamic is great and the attraction is palpable!

Draco Malfoy, who can't seem to keep himself out of trouble, who seems intent on shaking up the delicate balance of Grimmauld Place, who keeps stealing food from Harry's plate and irritating his Auror partner.
And when did he get so fit?

I don't love creature fic usually, and I kept almost stopping this one because that element became so prominent, but then it would just get better and better and I couldn't turn away.
