The disaster of a party
(Just gonna out this here right now. I'm gonna use spells in here that ARE NOT REAL. They aren't from Harry Potter cause I don't know them or couldn't find them out so don't quote them okay.)
Draco stood in the middle of the room as chaos spread rapidly around him. All he wanted was to give Harry the gift of a birthday party and make him happy.
Why, do you ask was the room in such a bad state? For that question to be answered we have to take it all the way to the beginning where Draco had a idea and Hermione had a plan.
The bright blonde had been sitting at his desk itching his head with his wand in a attempt to come up with any type of present for the love of his life.
Harry and him had been dating for months now...he wanted to give him the most amazing gift... if only he knew what it was.
He was knocked out of his thoughts as a poofy brown haired girl sat in front of him with a loud huff.
"Granger why are you bothering me with your presence? I'm trying to come up with a gift not deal with a mud blood."
"Hush Malfoy. Don't forget your dating my friend and I could always put in a bad word. I interrupted your meddling cause I think we should do something special for Harry."
Draco rolled his eyes, he already knew this. Then it hit him... "Hermione...he's never had a real birthday party. Why don't we throw him one?"
There was a awkward silence for a couple of moments and he wondered if maybe he had been incorrect about Harry never having a party, therefore embarrassing himself completely.
"Draco Malfoy...I cannot believe I'm saying this but that is brilliant and I wish I had thought of it. Oh! I'll get Ron to help. We should start right away."
They each gave a nod and broke apart knowing exactly what to do. Weather it was grabbing decorations for the common room, gathering helpers for a faster set up, or even just getting some food made.
After a days work the gryffindor common room was completely perfect and the only thing that still needed done was invitations.
Now you might be thinking that this sounds delightful and there's no way that it could go wrong but you see magic is unpredictable sometimes.
"Granger could you help the weasel and I make invitations? The writing is cramping my hand and I think I might need a break." Draco asked stepping back from the large pile of envelopes.
"You nit wits here. Writeninous itsonia" Hermione said clearly and flicked her wand with the experience of what seemed like a pro.
Draco looked impressed for a split second...until the envelopes flew into the air and started zooming around like crazy planes in the sky.
"What did you do!" Ron shouted and threw himself under the table with Draco following after him.
Hermione swallowed harshly. "I don't know that should have worked! Writeninous itsonia!"
Draco yelped in surprise as the hanging decoration that had been on the wall just a bit ago wrapped itself around his foot and started to drag him away.
Ron was shrieking in terror as the cake chased after him and the presents hopped around his feet like bunnies.
The blonde male kicked the party decor harshly and it let go, slithering it's way to someone else. To avoid getting caught again he stood up and looked around.
Now you understand how everything went down the hole and now for the main issue. The birthday boy.
"What in the bloody hell is going on?!" Harry shouted above the noise making the other three wizards in training snap their attention to him.
"Frantimaric." He said softly and everything went silent as if the life had been drained away from the items in the room.
"Potter I-" Draco started but Harry cut him off by pressing his finger to the blondes lips and picking a gift up off the floor.
"Thank you for trying. All of this I can tell took a while. I don't need a fancy party though. I just need all of you. So how about we eat the cake and chat like normal?"
The three sighed in relief and assembled the remnants of the party on the table. Sometimes all you need is the people you love to have a good time.
The end
