Sequel to Frozen In Time (And Maybe In Fear)

Harry's birthday had been a beautiful occurrence, and he had fallen asleep the night before with a smile and sweet dreams of Draco Malfoy in a flower field.

When he got out of bed, a soft smile was still present on his face.

When he walked out to the Great Hall, the smile was still on his face.

When he saw Ginny, his smile fell.

She reminded him of a colorful storm, standing in the middle of the Great Hall with her blazing blue eyes and flaming red hair and green beanie, a piece of white paper crumpled in her clenched fists, purple-coated lips turned downward as she glared at him.

"You son of a bitch," she said coldly, her words echoing around the now semi-silent Great Hall.

More people hushed as Harry froze where he stood, staring at Ginny with wide eyes.

"You cheated on me?"

"I didn't cheat on you-!" he tried to shout, but she cut him off.

"Yesterday was your birthday, and I was not awake for it."

"Because you're not my soulmate, apparently! I'm sorry, Ginny. I didn't choose this."

"Who is?"

Harry froze again.

Ginny advanced closed, blue eyes threatening to kill. "Who. Is?"

"Draco," Harry choked out, the name coming off his lips a little higher than he had expected.

"Draco!?" she shouted. "Draco Malfoy?"

"Erm... Yes."

"So not only did you cheat on me, you cheated on me with Draco Malfoy!?"

"I didn't cheat on you!" Harry protested.

"Oh yeah? What did you do with your new boy toy yesterday, then?"

Uh oh. Harry swallowed. "We...um... ice skated."

Purple lips parted in surprise. 

"And... talked about our future."

Blue eyes widened.

"And... picked flowers."

Red eyebrows narrowed.

"You son of a bitch."

"Ginny, I-"

"So not only did you cheat on me, not only did you cheat on me with Draco Malfoy, but you used the date ideas that I had planned!?"

"Gin, I'm so-"

"Do not tell me you are sorry, it means nothing! You cheated on me using my own ideas, with Draco motherfucking Malfoy!"

The blonde chose that moment to walk through the doors, raising his eyebrows at the scene before him.

"Damn, that's tea," he said calmly, joining Harry.

"You-" Ginny started, overwhelmed by fury. "You stole my boyfr-"

"Ah ah ah, I'm gonna have to stop you right there," Draco cut in, holding up a hand. Ginny froze, shocked. 

"He's not your boyfriend anymore, because he's my soulmate, and you're a crazy bitch. He didn't cheat on you, he made very sure not to do anything before he broke up with you."

Ginny stared at them for a long time, blue eyes wild with anger.

"I'll fucking-" she started advancing toward Harry menacingly.

As though habit, Draco put an arm in front of Harry, pushing him back, and held out a hand to stop Ginny from getting any closer.

"I'm gonna tell you this once, Weasley," he said coldly. "Back. Off."

Harry was still frozen, although it was more in shock of Draco's protective motion than anything.

"As though he could ever love you,"  Ginny growled. "He's just stuck with you, because you're soulmates. He would never willingly be with a Death Eater."

Draco reared back in shock, and Harry maneuvered around him, wrapping an arm around Draco's waist to keep him next to him.

Ginny's eyes zeroed in on the motion, and her eyebrows narrowed. She opened her mouth to say something, but Harry cut her off.

"I'm breaking up with you."

Her eyes widened in shock, and she gasped so loudly Harry was pretty sure his dead parents heard it.

Draco relaxed at this, and his calm smirk was back in place. "Sucks, Weasley. Looks like I stole your man."

"I'll get him back," she shot back coldly, but Draco just laughed.

"Nah, you didn't treasure him like he deserves. He's mine, and you're not getting him back. Suck a dick, ginger." This calm statement was followed by Draco pulling Harry close and kissing him hard.

And finally, Harry unfroze, and he kissed his soulmate back.
