Raverinpuffdor Pt 2

Wow I suck at updating

You might wanna reread the last chapter to refresh your memory, because I haven't updated in nine years.

This took me days to write.

Its real long, 3,952 words.

Today, Dray had decided to go down to the library to bring Lucius cookies and see how his progress was coming along, and Draco was busy trying to find Malfoy.

So Harry finally had a day where he could hang out with all his friends, plus Blaise and Pansy, who had proven to be decent people.

Currently, they were all sitting in the Gryffindor Common Room.

Neville sat next to Blaise on the floor, and Hermione was sitting on Ron's lap on a comfy armchair. Pansy sat on the couch with Dean and Ginny. Harry sat on a loveseat with Seamus.

"Lucius hasn't made much progress yet," Hermione said. "But he is very interesting to talk to. I had no idea Draco- the whole Draco- was so smart. It's a whole other side to him."

Blaise nodded. "Draco's always been smart. He was always second place in grades, just under you Hermione. That frustrated him more than anything."

Harry was surprised to realize that Hermione was genuinely warming up to Lucius.

"Yeah. Draco's pretty damn funny too. I had no idea," Ron added.

Neville nodded. "And he's real good at chess. Beat Ron a couple times."

"Shut up!" the redhead laughed, throwing a pillow at Neville. Neville laughed, and tossed it to Blaise.

Seamus laughed. "Yeah. It's weird to genuinely get along with him, but Draco's really pretty chill. I guess it's just his Slytherin side that's such an ass."

"It's not so much that he's an ass as it's a wall he feels he needs to maintain," Pansy added. "I assume that the Slytherin one- Malfoy- has that wall still, and that's why he's such a jerk."

Harry nodded. "At least what Malfoy has in anger, Dray makes up for in compassion."

Ginny snorted. "Yeah, I'm sure you're really enjoying his 'compassion' towards you, Harry."

Harry laughed, grabbing the pillow from Blaise and throwing it at her. "Shut up, Ginny!"

She laughed, catching the pillow and throwing it back at him. "I think little Harry has a cruuuusshhh!!"

Harry laughed. "You suck."

"You swallow," she shot back.

"Ginny!" Ron shouted, horrified. Hermione fell over laughing.

"Do you really like him, Harry?" Blaise asked curiously.

Harry bit his lip. "It's conflicting. I know I really like Dray. but I'm just not as close with Draco and Lucius. And I don't think I like Malfoy. If I only like one-fourth of him, does it really count as a crush? When he's back, Dray will be gone, shadowed and hidden by Malfoy."

The room was quiet. Then Pansy spoke.

"He used to be an asshole in first year to us, too. The way he is with you, how he's always so rude? He used to be like that with us. But then he learned to trust us more, and he became more and more open, and the Dray side shone through more. Maybe you need to get to know him and get him to trust you more."

Harry smiled. "Thanks, Pansy."

She smirked at him. "You should talk to Draco first. You've already got one down, three to go."

Harry nodded, jumping up and rushing out of the room.

Pansy blinked. "I didn't mean now, but whatever."

Seamus laughed. "He's blinded by love, Parkinson."

********

Harry searched for about ten minutes before finding Draco. The red-clad Gryffindor was in the Great Hall, next to Malfoy's usual seat, setting up some sort of rig.

"Um... Hi," Harry said nervously.

Draco looked up, surprised. "Oh. Hi, Harry. I wasn't doing anyth-"

"I didn't come over her because of that," Harry interrupted.

"Oh." Draco straightened. "Ok. What's up?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?"

Draco's eyebrows shot up. "Uhhhh... Yeah! Yeah, I'd like that."

Harry smiled. "Great. Come on!"

"Can I finish- screw it." Draco stood, taking Harry's hand. The raven-haired boy pulled him along as he rushed through the castle.

"Where are we going?" Draco asked breathlessly as Harry pulled him along quickly.

"To Hogsmeade!" Harry replied, just as breathless. He hated running, but Draco was worth it.

It took them about fifteen minutes to reach the secret entrance into the Shrieking Shack.

Both boys were out of breath but smiling brightly with pink cheeks by the time they walked outside.

"Where to?" Draco asked. Harry grabbed his hand, pulling him towards The Three Broomsticks.

As they stepped inside the busy pub, Harry tugged Draco over to Madame Rosmerta.

"Madame Rosmerta!" Harry exclaimed. She turned, smiling brightly.

"Harry!" she cried, sweeping him in a hug. "So good to see you!"

"You too. Do you mind getting me a Butterbeer and...." he trailed off, turning toward Draco. Madame Rosmerta did too.

"Make it two," he said, smiling at Madame Rosmerta.

They sat down at a booth, and their drinks were brought to them quickly.

As Draco sipped his drink, Harry spoke.

"What's it like, being split from yourself?"

Draco shrugged, setting down his mug.

"It's like little pieces of me are missing. Like I remember feeling all the emotions that are relative to the others, but I can't bring myself to feel them anymore."

Harry frowned. "Does that upset you?"

Draco smiled faintly. "Not really. If I hadn't been split from you, we would've never told you we like you. You'd probably still hate us."

"Still debating on that," Harry teased.

Draco laughed. "Shut up."

They spent another hour at the pub, talking and talking before finally deciding it was time to go.

Finally, they were back in Hogwarts, smiles on their faces and bright pink cheeks.

"Harry, this was really fun," Draco said, turning to him.

Harry smiled softly. "Yeah. Yeah it was."

"Harry?" Draco's Gryffindor bravery seemed to dissipate.

Harry glanced up, looking into Draco's grey eyes. "Yeah?"

"May I kiss you?" Draco's face was bright red.

Harry bit his lip, surprised. Shyly, he nodded.

Draco leaned forward, pressing his lips to Harry's.

Harry wrapped his arms loosely around Draco's neck, pulling him closer.

This was the best kiss he'd ever had. Ginny and Cho didn't compare to the heat of this kiss.

"No fair! I've been flirting with him for weeks! How come you guys go on one date and you get to kiss him?" Dray's voice cut into Harry's perfect kiss.

Draco pulled away, laughing. "Firstly, we're technically the same person. Secondly, you never tried."

Dray pouted, and Harry laughed.

"Harrryyyyy, can I kiss you?" he asked, eyes bright.

Harry, still laughing, nodded.

Dray squealed with excitement, rushing up to Harry and kissing him hard.

He was more eager than Draco had been, his arms around Harry's waist, his enthusiasm pouring into the kiss.

When he pulled away, Harry's eyes were wide.

"Wow," he said breathlessly.

Dray smiled shyly, and Draco grinned.

Sudden clapping from behind Harry made all three of them jump, turning to see Hermione, Pansy, and Neville smirking at them.

"We came to find you, Harry," Hermione said, grinning. "Sorry to interrupt your little moment."

Harry blushed hard, and Draco laughed.

"He's a good kisser," Dray said brightly. Harry lightly smacked his shoulder, blushing.

Dray gasped dramatically, falling to the floor laughing and clutching his arm.

"Oh, god, you've killed me!" he shouted dramatically. "How shall I ever survive this?"

Harry laughed harder, kneeling next to him and pressing a light kiss to his lips.

Dray sprang up. "All better!"

Neville laughed, and Pansy "awwwed". Harry blushed again, standing back up.

"Harry," Hermione said, her voice full of happiness. "Lucius thinks he found a cure."

Five minutes later, they joined Ron, Blaise, Dean, Lucius, Ginny, and Seamus in the library.

"I believe I've found a cure for our predicament," Lucius said. "But some of the ingredients are a bit hard to find. I'll need your help. Hermione and Blaise, can you go to Hogsmeade and try to get some fairy wings?"

Hermione nodded.

"Ron and Ginny, can you go to your brothers' joke shop and see if they have any slug slime?"

Ron swallowed, nodding. "Yeah, I'm sure they do," he replied.

"Dean, Seamus, I need you to get these from the kitchen," he added, handing Dean a list.

"Pansy and Neville can you two go out to Hagrid's hut and ask him if he has any dragon tears?"

Pansy nodded, smirking.

"Dray, Draco, I need you both to go to the Potions classroom and get beetle wings and daffodil petals."

Draco shook his head. "Its freakin weird to be ordered around by myself."

"You're telling me. Harry, I'm sorry you don't have a partner, but can you go to the Forbidden Forest and get bird feathers from these birds?" Lucius handed Harry three pictures of different bird. "One feather each."

Harry nodded.

"Okay. I'll wait here for you all. Thank you."

Everyone split up.

Harry walked outside with Pansy and Neville, only to realize it was raining.

"Great," Pansy huffed. "Goodbye, straightened hair."

They waved goodbye and headed toward Hagrid's hut. Hard walked toward the Forbidden Forest.

Something caught his eye, however, and he turned to see Draco standing there.

He was kind of far away, and he didn't seem to notice Harry yet. He was staring up at the rain.

Harry watched in fascination as his face broke into a smile and he spun around.

Harry gasped softly. Draco was dancing the rain.

He looked incredibly happy and peaceful, twirling and dancing. Rain ran down his cheeks, and messed up his hair.

Wait a minute.

Draco's hair was always messy. But before he had started dancing, Draco's hair was neat.

Dray always had a flower crown, so it wasn't him.

Lucius was in the library.

As Draco spun again, his tie caught Harry's eye and he gasped.

Malfoy was dancing in the rain.

Malfoy looked so happy. Harry walked closer, watching him.

He threw his hands in the air, catching raindrops, but then his eyes caught Harry's.

He froze.

Harry could clearly hear him hiss "shit" from a few meters away.

"What are you doing here, Potter?" Malfoy spat, walking closer to him.

Harry raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing out here, Malfoy?"

Malfoy lowered his head, looking almost ashamed. "Touché."

Harry sighed. "I'm heading to the Forbidden Forest to get feathers for the counter potion to your predicament."

Malfoy looked up, surprised. "Can I help?"

Harry raised his eyebrows, shocked. "Uh...yeah. Yeah, you can."

Malfoy smirked. "Then what are you waiting for?" He started running toward the Forbidden Forest.

Harry laughed slightly, shaking his head, and ran after him.

Harry looked around at the trees, before freezing.

"There," he whispered. Malfoy looked up.

A small brown bird sat on a branch just above Malfoy's head.

Malfoy slowly lifted his hands, cupping them together and holding them just under the branch. He stood there, perfectly still.

Harry admired the care Malfoy put into this, his whole attention focused on the tiny bird.

The bird tilted its head, hopping into Malfoy's hands.

Malfoy gasped softly, and very slowly lowered his hands. In one swift motion, he let go with one hand, cupping it over the bird and gently holding it in place.

"Take a feather from right here," he said, indicating the spot with his pinky finger. "It hurts the least."

Harry wanted to aww, but settled for gently plucking a feather.

Malfoy opened his hands, releasing the bird. It flew away, and both boys watched it go.

"What's next?" Malfoy asked.

Harry pointed at the next picture.

"Oh, that will be over here," Malfoy said casually, walking away.

Harry raised his eyebrows. "I didn't know you knew about birds that much."

Malfoy shrugged, blushing slightly. Then he froze.

"Oh god," he whispered.

Harry glanced around him and gasped.

A small bird lay on the ground, leg tangled in a branch. Its leg was getting more cut the more it struggled.

Harry glanced at his paper. "This is the one we need. I'll take a feather, and then we'll get it out."

"No," Malfoy whispered.

"What?"

"We can't. Its already injured enough as it it. Do you really want to hurt it more? I'm going to free it, and can we just find a different one, please?" Malfoy's eyes were pleading.

Harry nodded, shocked by Malfoy's care for the small animal.

Ever so carefully, Malfoy kneeled next to the bird, gently taking its leg and slowly untangling it.

Instantly, the bird flew off, and Harry gasped as a loose feather fell off him and landed in his hand.

Malfoy smiled. "Guess we don't have to find another. What's next?"

Harry smiled at him and pointed at the next picture.

They spent about ten more minutes looking for it, before Malfoy stopped and said "there."

"Where?" Harry looked around, not seeing the bird.

Malfoy gently took his face and moved it up a bit, pointing.

Harry took another moment to see it, because he was so stunned by Malfoy touching him.

They caught the bird, and took its feather.

"Thanks, Malfoy. I couldn't have done this without you." Harry smiled at Malfoy.

Malfoy smiled back. "Of course... Harry."

They walked back to the castle together, making sarcastic jokes and poking fun at each other.

When they finally came into the library, everyone was already there.

They all stared at Malfoy.

"Here," Harry said, handing the feathers to Lucius and sitting next to him. "Malfoy helped me."

"Thank you," Lucius mumbled distractedly, taking the feathers and adding them to the potion. "This will need to sit for two days. Harry, I'm going to need you to practice the incantation to change us back."

"Why me?" Harry asked.

Lucius shrugged. "It makes sense. You did this."

Harry nodded. "Fine."

"We're gonna go," Hermione said. "See ya, Harry."

Harry waved goodbye, and everyone else left until only him and Lucius were left in the library.

"Okay, Harry, repeat after me. Seperatum Reparo."

"Seperatum Reparo."

"One more time."

"Seperatum Reparo."

"Perfect. Now don't pronounce that wrong, because if you do, we all turn into a doorknob."

Harry blinked. "Oh."

"Say it again."

"Seperatum Reparo."

"Perfect!" Lucius looked very happy with him.

Harry beamed. Something about having the approval of Lucius made him happy.

"Now say this. Seperatum Reparo, Draco Lucius Malfoy Encantra Leviosa."

Harry blinked. "Um."

"Just do it word by word," Lucius encouraged. "Seperatum."

"Seperatum."

"Reparo."

"Reparo."

"Seperatum Reparo."

"Seperatum Reparo."

"Good job." Lucius kissed his cheek.

Harry jumped, surprised.

"Was that okay?" Lucius asked. "I've learned that positive association with phrases helps people learn."

Harry blinked. "Um... Yeah. Its okay."

Lucius smiled. "Great. Now say Draco Lucius Malfoy."

"Draco Lucius Malfoy."

Another kiss was pressed against his cheek.

"Now Seperatum Reparo Draco Lucius Malfoy."

"Seperatum Reparo Draco Lucius Malfoy."

This time the kiss was placed on his nose. "Perfect. Now say Encantra."

"Encantra."

Forehead kiss.

"Leviosa."

"Leviosa."

Cheek kiss.

"Encantra Leviosa."

"Encantra Leviosa."

Kiss on the tip of his nose.

"Okay. Now say the whole thing."

"Um... Reparo Seperatum Draco Lucius Malfoy Leviosa."

"Try again. Seperatum Reparo Draco Lucius Malfoy Encantra Leviosa."

"Sep-Seperatum Reparo Draco Lucius Malfoy Encantra Leviosa."

"Again."

"Seperatum Reparo Draco Lucius Malfoy Encantra Leviosa."

"Again."

"Seperatum Reparo Draco Lucius Malfoy Encantra Leviosa!"

"Perfect!" Lucius exclaimed. He tackled Harry, pressing a kiss directly on his lips.

Harry smiled brightly into the kiss, kissing him back softly.

Lucius pulled away, on top of Harry, eyes bright and happy, glasses nowhere to be seen, and Harry's heart stopped.

All he could imagine was actual days like this with the real, whole Draco Malfoy.

Days with kisses and bright smiles and walks in the forest and laughter and sarcastic jokes. Days with soft smiles and laying next to each other staring at the sky and holding hands.

Harry wrapped his arms around Lucius' neck and pulled him back down for another kiss.

The blonde made a small surprised noise, but returned the kiss with passion.

He was a really good kisser.

"Lucius?" Harry asked after he pulled away.

"Yes, Harry?"

"Can you promise me that when you're back as one person, you'll still keep doing this with me?"

Lucius rolled off of Harry, and turned to look at him with sad eyes.

"I can't promise that. I'm sorry."

Harry's heart sank. "But I thought you loved me."

"Harry... Lucius looked conflicted. "Basic logic and protection of self-image are what has kept us from expression feelings toward you for years. I'm not sure if that can change."

"But what if I'm...." Harry couldn't finish his sentence. He stood up, running toward the door.

"Harry!" Lucius stood quickly.

Harry turned around, eyes cold. "You know, for the logical side that doesn't feel love, you sure fake it pretty well."

Lucius froze, stunned. Harry ran out of the room.

He kept running and running until he found Dray.

"Harry?" Dray looked at him, confused. "What's wrong?"

Tears were streaming down Harry's face as he spoke.

"Do you love me?" he choked out.

Dray's expression turned sad, and he took both of Harry's hand in his own.

"You don't think we'll love you anymore when we're back together," he said.

Harry shook his head, choked sobs wracking his body. Tears fell down his cheeks.

"Harry, I love you. I love you. I love you. Nothing could change that. And when we're back, we might act different, but you need to remember that even though  I'm the very expressive emotional side, that doesn't mean any emotions I feel are false. I love you."

Harry buried his face in Dray's shoulder, crying harder.

"I-I think I lo-"

"Harry? What's wrong?" Hermione came out of nowhere, hugging him.

Harry just shook his head.

***************

Harry had avoided talking to anyone for two days, having all his meals delivered to his room and locking the door.

But he knew today was the day.

So when the knock came at his door and Ron told him that he needed to come out, Harry did so without complaint.

He came into the room, and saw everyone there.

His friends all were sitting at a table, talking quietly.

And there they were.

Malfoy was staring at the floor, avoiding eye contact with everyone. Dray was messing with his hands, unable to stay still. Lucius was staring directly at Harry, although Harry ignored him. Draco just had his eyes closed, mentally preparing himself.

Harry watched as Lucius poured a cup of the potion for each persona. They simultaneously took a drink and waited.

Harry took a deep breath.

"S-Seper.." Harry sighed, trying to focus. He remembered Lucius in the library.

"I've learned that positive association with phrases helps people learn."

He imagined Lucius pressing soft kisses to his cheek and nose and forehead and lips.

"Seperatum Reparo Draco Lucius Malfoy Encantra Leviosa," he whispered.

There was a bright flash, and suddenly one Draco Lucius Malfoy was standing there.

He looked stunned.

"Draco?" Harry asked softly, extending his hand. "You okay?"

Draco stared at his hand, and stood on his own.

"Don't call me Draco," he said with a cold look. He stormed out of the room.

Harry stared at the spot where Draco had been a moment before.

He felt absolutely broken.

Draco didn't love him.

******************

It had been a week since Draco had returned back to his own body, and he had avoided Harry the whole week.

Harry sat in front of the lake, throwing rocks at it. Memories swirled around in his head

Draco.

Draco smiled faintly. "Not really. If I hadn't been split from you, we would've never told you we like you. You'd probably still hate us."

"May I kiss you?"

"Did you really ask Cho to the ball?" he said between choked laughs. "And she turned you down?"

Lucius.

"Harry, for fuck's sake, you can talk to snakes! Goddamnit, this is why you're not in Ravenclaw, you damn prat!" Lucius shouted.

Harry once asked him if Draco as a whole truly did have a crush on him, and the smart one responded with "he's been confused about his sexuality since fourth year when he saw you shirtless in the Triwizard Tournament, he's been battling the idea of having a crush on you since fifth year, he's accepted it since sixth, and as of eighth year, he's begun to fall in love with you."

"Perfect!" Lucius exclaimed. He tackled Harry, pressing a kiss directly on his lips.

Malfoy.

"It's purely his Slytherin side," Gryffindor Draco said. "He has no conscience."

Malfoy was dancing in the rain.

"We can't. Its already injured enough as it it. Do you really want to hurt it more? I'm going to free it, and can we just find a different one, please?" Malfoy's eyes were pleading.

Dray.

Dray stood up, cheering. "Yay Harry! Good job, I'm proud of you!"

"He's a good kisser," Dray said brightly. Harry lightly smacked his shoulder, blushing.

"Harry, I love you. I love you. I love you. Nothing could change that. And when we're back, we might act different, but you need to remember that even though  I'm the very expressive emotional side, that doesn't mean any emotions I feel are false. I love you."

Harry straightened.

Dray had said he loved him.

"I love you."

Dray was part of Draco.

Which meant those emotions were Draco's.

Draco loved him.

Harry stood up quickly, marching toward the castle. He stormed towards the dungeons.

When he approached the entrance, the portrait frowned down at him.

"Passw- oh my." Her painted face looked scared at the determined look on Harry's face. She swung open, and Harry stepped inside.

Dozens of Slytherin students glanced up, surprised.

"Where's Draco's room?" Harry asked, determined.

Pansy pointed upstairs. "Third door on the right."

Harry marched up the stairs, and banged on the door.

"Go away," a defeated voice whispered.

"No."

"Harry?"

"Yeah. Open the damn door."

"No. Go away."

Frustrated, Harry pointed his wand at Draco's door.

The door exploded, and Harry marched into his room.

Draco sat up. "What the hell, Potter?"

Harry grabbed Draco, pulling him up to eye level, and kissed him.

Draco tensed, shocked, before tentatively kissing him back.

Harry laced his fingers with Draco's as he deepened the kiss.

Draco let out a breathy sigh, letting go of Harry's hand with one of his hands to put it on the back of Harry's neck, pulling him closer.

Harry continued the kiss for another thirty seconds before pulling away.

"Draco Lucius Malfoy," he whispered, sitting down on the bed and holding both of his hands. "I'm in love with you."

Draco's eyes widened with surprise at the admission.

"I'm in love with your sensitive side, and I'm in love with your silliness and your sarcasm and I'm in love with your eyes and your lips and your hair and I'm in love with you."

Draco's eyes were filled with tears as he knocked Harry over in a hug.

"I'm in love with you too."
