Muggle Music #17

Draco re-read the paper in front of him. He had inherited his godfathers house, he still couldn't believe Severus was dead. Now, Draco had no one left.

He got up from his couch, grabbed the paper and went to his room. He would pack and leave the manor. Surely no one would miss him, his mother wouldn't even notice he's gone.

He felt bad, the war had just ended and his mother wasn't in a good metal state to be left alone but then again she made it clear she didn't want him around. Most days she would stay in her room and cry about her husband being sent to Azkaban. Other days she would throw her China at the wall and cry.

Draco quickly packed, even if it wasn't neat, he needed to leave this place.

Draco sighed and shrunk his suitcases. He'll go to Severus' house and clean it, if it wasn't already clean since Severus was an organized man.

Before he apparated, a picture frame caught his attention as the window directed some sunlight from outside inside, hitting the frame which glimmered in Draco's eyes.

He walked over to it, seeing it was a picture of Harry and him. It was from their third year at Hogwarts. Hermione had taken it. Draco has his arm around Harry's waist and Harry's arm was on Draco's shoulders and he had his head rested on his shoulder. It was when Harry used his cloak to go to Hogsmade.

Draco smiled down at the picture, walking over to his bed and un-shrinking his suitcases. He placed it inside and looked around to see if there were anymore, which there was.

Draco placed them in his suitcase and shrieked the suitcase yet again. He would think of a way to dispose of them later.

Draco obviously still had feelings for Harry, of course he would, they were in love but sometimes war can destroy that love which existed. Draco still couldn't get that night out of his head, those words echoed in his head.

Flashback

Draco sat on the couch that was placed in the astronomy tower. He was alone with his thoughts. He had his arms wrapped around himself, thinking if he should ever tell Harry about the hideous mark on his arm.

He had two choices.

One tell Harry, and have Harry help him forget about it and remind him on what team he really was on. Or he could tell Harry and have Harry get mad and make a fuzz about it.

Two, he could hide it from Harry for the rest of his life. Or hide it from Harry, then have Harry find out the hard way and something bad happens.

Both options had their trade-offs.

Draco jumped when he felt arms wrap around him. Draco turned to look at who it was, and came face-to-face with Harry.

"Hey Harry." Draco said, trying to stay calm. "Hello love." Harry said jumping over to sit of the couch, next to Draco.

"Why weren't you at dinner? For like the third time this week." Harry said scooting closer to Draco. "Father says that I'm gaining a few pounds." Draco said, trying not meet Harry's gaze.

"Well tell him he's wrong, you seem to be perfectly fit." Harry said.

Harry reached his hand up to Draco's face, making his head turn to look at him. Draco stared into Harry's eyes, loosing himself in them.

Harry leaned in and kissed him, which snapped Draco out of his trance. He kissed back, forgetting about the mark on his arm.

As Draco began to kiss down Harry's neck, Harry started to unbutton Draco's shirt. His school robes nearly placed on the arm rest.

Draco didn't mind Harry taking Draco's shirt off of him. Harry had thrown Draco's shirt to the ground, his eyes closed, he whispered

"I love you Draco."

Those were the last words Draco heard that pleased his mind, before his world came crumbling down.

Harry had pushed him away, forcefully.

Draco felt like he couldn't breath. He felt like he was underwater, he wanted to scream but he wouldn't let himself do so. He just laid there as Harry screamed at him.

"You traitor! I-I can't believe you! I thought you weren't like your father, but now I see you lied to me! I can't believe I fell for you! I can't believe I fell for your lies. Let me guess, you were only using me, to tell that evil son of a bitch my weakness. You pathetic little asshole! Stay the fuck away from me, I take it back, I don't love you." Harry said, before leaving Draco.

Flashback has ended.

Those 4 words echoed through Draco's mind ever since that day. Harry never spoke to him, they had only 2 interactions ever since then. One at Malfoy Manor when they had brought him, Ron and Hermione. A second time in the room of requirements when Harry saved him.

Skip to a few weeks later.

Draco has settled in just fine.

Except he didn't dispose of the pictures him and Harry. He kept them on a bookshelf, next to his school books which he will never touch again, so that worked fine with him.

Draco was currently reading the daily prophet when an owl tapped his window.

It was a brown one with yellow eyes. Draco opened the windows and the owl dropped it on the desk by the window.

Draco grabbed the letter. He skimmed threw it.

Dear Draco, blah blah blah, I'm sorry I was an ass, blah blah blah, I still have feelings for you, I know a letter won't make up for what I said to you that night. Blah blah blah. I hope to get response, sincerely Harry Potter.

Draco threw the letter on the desk and grabbed a piece of bacon from his plate and gave it to the owl.

Everyday, Draco would get letters from Harry and he would never respond back. Draco had moved on, or so he told himself that, and he thought Harry should move on as well.

One day, Draco decided to go to a muggle bar that was near where he lived. He put on some jeans, and a button up shirt. He combed his hair and put some socks on before putting on his black convers, which he transfigured all on his own.

He grabbed his keys and his wallet, which had real muggle money which he got from, he doesn't really know someone just sends him an envelope with muggle money.

He walked for a few minutes until he reached his destination. He was outside a small pub, on the window there was a poster saying "Open Mic Night."

Draco smiled at himself before stepping in.

He walked over to the bar stools and sat down.

"What would you be having tonight blondie?" The bartender asked. "Fi- um whiskey." Draco said looking around. "Sure thing." Said the bartender.

Draco looked at the small stage at front. A girl with dirty blonde hair was on the stage, swaying her hips back and forth to the rhythm of the song she was singing. She was off key to be honest.

The bartender placed the cup in front of Draco. "Thanks." Draco said grabbing the cup and drinking it.

The girl walked off the stage and Draco waited to see if anyone went up. No one did. He sighed before standing up. "I'm gonna regret this." He muttered before walking up to the small stage.

He looked at the list in front of him and skimmed threw it to see if he knew one. Number 31, he remembered Harry talking about it.

He looked at the dj guy. "Number 31, please." He said kindly. The guy nodded.

Draco sighed and grabbed the microphone.

"I got those jet pack blues
Just like Judy
The kind that make June feel like September
I'm the last one that you'll ever remember

And I'm trying to find my peace of mind
Behind these two white highway lines
When the city goes silent
The ringing in my ears gets violent

She's in a long black coat tonight
Waiting for me in the downpour outside
She's singing "Baby come home" in a melody of tears
While the rhythm of the rain keeps time"

Draco sang into the microphone, closing his eyes forgetting everyone around him. He didn't even hear a faint gasp.

"And I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"

Did you ever love her? Do you know?
Or did you never want to be alone?
And she was singing "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"

I've got those jet pack blues
Fight off the light tonight and just stay with me
Honey, don't you leave"

Draco smiled a it as he heard the people in the pub applause. Draco nodded his head with the beat.

"Don't you remember how we used to split a drink?
It never mattered what it was
I think our heads were just that close
The sweetness never lasts, you know

She's in a long black coat tonight
Waiting for me in the downpour outside
She's singing "Baby, come home" in a melody of tears
While the rhythm of the rain keeps time

And I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home""

Draco opened his eyes and blinked, trying to not cry. The memories that flashed there his mind, he felt tears come to his eyes.

"Did you ever love her? Do you know?
Or did you never want to be alone?
And she was singing "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"

She's in a long black coat tonight
Waiting for me in the downpour outside
She's singing "Baby come home" in a melody of tears
While the rhythm of the rain keeps time

And I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home"
I remember "Baby, come home""

Draco sang, and as he sang he didn't notice the man with messy raven black hair standing in front of the stage, starring in awe as he cleaned the table.

"Did you ever love her? Do you know?
Or did you never want to be alone?
And she was singing "Baby, come home"
(I remember)

Baby, come home""

Draco finished the song and quickly left the stage as people applauded.

Draco walked over to the bar counter. But he bumped into someone. "I'm sorry." Draco said not looking up. "It's okay." The voice said in a whisper.

'I'm going mad! It can't be him...' Draco thought. He slowly looked up and was face-to-face with Harry Potter.

"H-Harry?" Draco asked. "It's me." He responded smiling. He was smiling at Draco, the smile Draco loved to look at but at the moment he couldn't face Harry. Not now.

"I have to go." Draco said and went to pay for his drink. "Don't worry it's on the house." The bartender said. "Really?" Draco asked. "Yeah, really." The bartender said smiling at Draco. "Um well thanks." He said.

Draco walked towards the door when he heard, "Harry's your shifts over you can go home now. Goodnight." He quickly left, he wanted to talk to Harry but he also wanted to avoid him? Draco didn't understand.

He heard footsteps and then a hags grabbed his wrist. "Draco." Harry said pulling Draco to a stop. "What?!" Draco asked, using a harsh tone.

"I'm sorry." Harry said looking into Draco's eyes. "For what? Being an asshole? For treating me like shit? For breaking my hear?" Draco said harshly.

"For everything." Harry said looking away. "And you think a 'sorry' is going to fix everything?" Draco asked.

"I can make it up to you. I know I can. Just let me. Let me come home." Harry said. "Home?" Draco asked.

"Draco you're my home. Please give me a chance, please. I-I still love you. I never stopped." Harry said. "How can I trust you?" He asked. "You can't, and I'm not saying you should. At least let met try." Harry said.

"Y-you promise not to hurt me again?" Draco asked. "I promise." Harry said. Draco let out sob and hugged Harry tightly. 'I'm home' they thought as they embraced each other.
