James and Lily were cool parents. Remus and Sirius were cool uncles. Peter was also cool but he wasn't in the picture as much since he found other people to be with.

They never really questioned Harry and the stuff he did. They never questioned why he painted his walls gray. They never questioned why he bought a vinyl record player. They never questioned why he would go from playing Journey to Queen to Mozart to the Backstreet Boys. They didn't question him when he wore jumpers twice his size or wore hats indoors. They didn't question the rainbow flag he hung in his room.

Heck they never even questioned him when he began bringing Draco Malfoy home. Whenever they heard noises from his room they just turned up the volume of the radio or the tv. They supported their son. They protected their son.

Sirius and Remus on the other hand....

If they saw Harry and Draco in the living room together they would separate them. They wouldn't let them kiss in the kitchen or be in Harry's  room alone with the doors closed. James and Lily did question that.

"Sirius, Remus do you have a problem with my son dating Malfoy?" Lily asked kindly. Sirius chocked on his bagel. "Of course not Lily!" Remus said. "Then why are you always separating them when they're together?!" James asked. Sirius and Remus looked at each other and sighed.

"One day we heard noises," Sirius began. "Harry sounded like he was in trouble. We thought he was alone! When we walked in... we..." Sirius looked at Remus for help.

"We caught them about to have sex." Remus said. Lily gasped. "They're only fifteen! Harry would never.... James this is what we get for not asking questions!!" Lily said slapping his arm. "Ouch! Hey they're teens with urges let them be. I didn't see you going around stopping these two from fucking and they were fifteen as well." James said pointed at the couple in front of them.

"I mean you didn't stop us either James." Sirius said. Remus slapped Sirius' arm. "Shut it." He said. "What does he mean by that?" Lily asked. Lily looked at the three men and gasped. "YOU HAD A THREESOME AND NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT!!??!!" Lily screamed. She wasn't angry, she was just upset her husband didn't give her the juice details.

"Can you guys keep it down? Draco and I have a big game tomorrow and we need all the rest we can get." Harry said from the stairs were he stood wearing Draco's jumper and shorts with fuzzy socks.

Anyone at the time would be furious with their son being open about who they truly were but not Lily and James. They supported their child even if others shunned them for it.
