Draco and Hermione are together and on the train back to Hogwarts. Ron isn't happy about them dating. Hermione smacks him across the face.

Draco and Hermione had been secretly dating for over four months now, but they decided to make it official on the train ride back to Hogwarts for their sixth year. They were sitting in the same compartment when Ron walked in, looking grumpy.

"What are you two doing together?" Ron sneered, crossing his arms over his chest.

"We're together, Ron," Hermione said, a hint of irritation in her voice.

Ron's expression turned into one of disbelief. "You can't be serious, Hermione. Malfoy is a Death Eater. He doesn't deserve your attention, let alone your affection."

"Ronald, you don't know what you're talking about," Hermione scolded, standing up to face him. "Draco has changed. He's not the same person he was before. He's trying to make amends for his past mistakes."

Ron rolled his eyes. "That's just a crock of shit."

Hermione's patience was wearing thin. She balled her hand into a fist and smacked Ron across the face. "You listen to me, Ronald Weasley," she said, her voice low and dangerous. "Who I choose to date is none of your business. If you can't handle that, then maybe you should rethink our friendship."

Ron rubbed his cheek, looking stunned. Hermione sat back down next to Draco, who was watching the exchange with a bemused expression.

"I'm sorry about that," Hermione said to him, her face flushing with embarrassment.

"Don't be," Draco replied, taking her hand. "I'm glad you stood up for us."

Hermione smiled at him, feeling grateful and relieved. It wasn't going to be easy, but together they could face whatever challenges came their way. As the train chugged along towards Hogwarts, she leaned her head against Draco's shoulder and closed her eyes, feeling content and happy.
