Green Apple

What if Ron was jealous while watching Hermione and Draco talk.

Hermione and Draco had been spending quite a bit of time together lately, much to the chagrin of Ron. He couldn't help but feel jealous every time he saw them together. It wasn't that he didn't trust Hermione or that he thought Draco was up to no good, he just didn't like the idea of his best friend spending so much time with someone who used to be their enemy.

One day, Ron was sitting in the Great Hall with Harry, watching as Hermione and Draco chatted amiably over a green apple. Ron scowled as he saw Draco take a bite and then offer it to Hermione, who took a bite of her own.

"What's up with you, mate?" Harry asked, noticing Ron's sour expression.

"It's just... it's weird seeing them like that," Ron admitted, gesturing towards Hermione and Draco.

Harry rolled his eyes. "You need to get over it, Ron. Hermione can be friends with whoever she wants. Besides, I think they make a cute couple."

Ron's eyes widened in shock. "What? No! They can't be a couple! Hermione belongs with me!"

Harry shook his head. "You need to stop being so possessive, Ron. Hermione isn't a trophy to be won. And even if she was interested in Draco, it's not like he's the same person he was back in school. People can change, you know."

Ron grumbled under his breath as he watched Hermione and Draco laughing together. He couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as he saw Draco offer Hermione another bite of his apple.

Suddenly, Harry smacked Ron behind the head. "Ow! What was that for?" Ron exclaimed.

"That was for being a jealous prat," Harry said sternly. "Hermione is a grown woman who can make her own choices. If you can't accept that, then maybe you need to take a step back and reevaluate your feelings."

Ron rubbed the back of his head, feeling ashamed. He knew Harry was right. He needed to trust Hermione and respect her choices, even if he didn't necessarily agree with them.

As he watched Hermione and Draco share the rest of the apple, Ron took a deep breath and made a decision. He was going to let go of his jealousy and be happy for his friend, no matter who she chose to spend her time with.
