Chapter 6| Clyde
The bus stops for maybe the third time. It's Kevin's stop. The boy in question stumbles onto the bus, a bus card in his mouth. He's clutching a file covered with stickers, paired with a thick, blue script. He tries to give the driver his card from his mouth, but she just glares at him and tells him to move on. Kevin nods, stumbling forward with the pass still hanging from his mouth.
I watch as he almost falls over someone's leg and then spits his card at said person. Then he swiftly grabs it back, holding it this time as he rushes towards me. He plops down beside me, groaning.
"I think that goth with the curls wants to kill me." He whispers, hurriedly wiping his bus pass of spit.
"Really?" I ask, giving him a look. "You'd expect he would want your spit on his face."
"You probably wouldn't mind." Kevin mumbles, causing me to flush and glare at him.
"That's gross."
"You're gross." Kevin replies simply, then yawns. It's only now that I realise the monster bags settled under his eyes.
"And you're supporting heavy eye bags," I lean closer to Kevin, reaching up and cupping his cheek. My brown eyes meet his blue. "Did you get any sleep last night?"
"Nope!" He pops the p, leaning into my touch. "I was staying up, contemplating who should get which part."
I can't help but aw. "Your dedication is cute." Kevin yawns once more, covering his mouth as his eyes flutter. He almost falls into me as the bus bumps, laying his hand on my thigh to stop himself.
"It's not." Kevin mumbles. His eyes continue to droop, and I smile. I let go of his cheek, causing Kevin to fall back against the seat.
It turns out my touch was holding him up. I shift Kevin, and his head falls gently against my shoulder. Light snores erupt from him as I chuckle, amused at how low Kevin had to stoop to reach my shoulder.
The bus has around three more stops to make, and I decide to let Kevin sleep for the rest of the journey.

The bus finally comes to a stop outside the school, and I nudge my sleeping boyfriend. He jerks away, his hair ruffled as he looks around.
"Wha?" He rubs his eyes, while pouting. "So I'm not actually having a tea party with Tyler and Josh?"
"Nope, you're not." I laugh as Kevin's sleep awoken state, finding it adorable.
"I was about to receive a live performance." Kevin complains, picking up his file and script.
We both walk into school together with Kevin explaining his 'tea party' which he had with the members of Twenty Øne Piløts. He then continues to rant about how annoying it is to be woken from a good dream. As soon as we pass the entrance hall, Kevin splits from my side with a yawn. He heads to Ms. Davis' room, now talking to himself.
I shake my head at the nerd, but can't help but smile.
I continue a walk to my locker, assuming that Craig and Tweek will be close by. I'm successful in my thoughts, and I mentally congratulate myself for being right. Craig and Tweek are stood together, Tweek listening to Craig speak then laughing. I quickly join the two.
"Hi guys!" I greet, smiling. Craig gives me a look which means 'hello', while Tweek happily smiles back.
"Hi Clyde." He says happily. His voice is light with laughter, his green eyes bright.
"I can't finish my story now." Craig complains, "fuck you, Clyde."
"Sorry Craig, but you're below my standards." I smirk at my friend, who rolls his eyes.
"And Kevin isn't?" Tweek asks, and Craig gives him a look.
"Kevin is great." He says, causing both Tweek and I to give him a strange look. "I just mean, he, uh, shouldn't be talked down."
Tweek still gives his boyfriend a weird look, while I pat Craig on the shoulder. "I can defend my own boyfriend, Craigster."
"If you call me that once more I'll drown you in the toilets." He states, voice void of emotion.
"Edgy." Tweek adds while adjusting his glasses, causing Craig to laugh. He then glares at me like it's my fault he laughed.
"You can give me that look all you want," I begin, "but I can't force you to laugh."
"I just like blaming you for things." I throw my arm around Craig's shoulders, who wiggles away from my touch.
"You're the bestest best friend ever." Craig snorts. "Anyway, how did auditions go Tweek?"
Tweek perks up at the question, smiling proudly. "Ms. Davis said I'd definitely get the part, which is brilliant." Tweek then looks to Craig. "I'm so happy I'll be able to bring a character y-you love to life, Craig."
Craig smiles at Tweek, and the two have a moment. It could be translated as eye sex, but that's inappropriate.
"I should've gone for Dorothy." I interrupt their eye sex, and Tweek laughs. Craig gives me a strange look.
"We practised together," Tweek tells Craig simply. He scowls.
"With Clyde? I should've prayed for you." Craig says.
"I'm right here." I tell Craig, who doesn't seem to listen.
"Clyde was fun to practice with. Plus, you and Kevin were both busy."
"I was a last resort?!" I say, gasping. Tweek gives me a sheepish smile, and Craig snickers. "Also Craig, if you were busy with Kevin I'll have to politely tell you to fuck off."
Craig rolls his eyes. "I wasn't with Kevin, and even if I was it wouldn't be for the way you're thinking. I'm in a relationship."
I waggle a finger in Craig's face. "And so is Kev!"
Tweek laughs once more. "Calm down Clyde, Craig could assume the same about us."
"I would never," Craig starts, "Tweek has common sense."
"Aha! So, you're saying Kevin doesn't?" I inquire, smirking.
"Clyde, shut the fuck up."
"Aw." I pout.
Tweek opens his mouth to speak, but the intercom cuts him off. The voice of Mr. Mackey erupts over the chatting students.
"Mkay students," he begins, then continues to clear his threat. "Anyone who auditioned for the school play to the hall, mkay."
It cuts off, and Tweek looks between us both.
"I guess I've got to go," he presses a kiss to Craig's cheek, then speeds off in the direction of the hall.
"The time has come." Craig says, more to himself then me. He then follows Tweek, and I can't help but chase after the black haired boy.
"Craig?!" I shout, trying to match his pace. "Where are you going?"
Craig is silent, but answers me a minute later. "To support my boyfriend?"
"Ohhh!" I match Craig's pace finally, once again congratulating myself. "I'll come with you, Kevin will be there."
We both reach the hall doors, entering like the other students. People crowd around the centre, where Ms. Davis stands atop a box. Kevin is beside her, and she's just an inch taller than him. Everyone is silent as Craig and I join the crowd, waiting for the roles to be called out.
Ms. Davis clears her throat. "First off, you may not get the role you desire. Some of you may be cast as Flying Monkey or Munchkins, but that's okay. It's okay, because you're still participating in the wonder which is theatre!"
Beside Ms. Davis, Kevin yawns. He receives a nasty look from the drama teacher.
"Now, one with the final decisions! Remember that these could change, as someone who plays a roll could fall ill or worse. I'll pray to Jesus this won't happen." Ms. Davis babbles, then clears her throat once more. "Dorthy: Bridon Queermo. The Wizard: Heidi Tuner. The Tinman: Kenny McCormick, and don't make me regret this choice."
Kenny smiles at the teacher, and she eyes his missing tooth before carrying on. "Cowardly Lion: Gregory Yardale. Wicked Witch Of The West: Red Tucke-"
"Yes!" Red cheers, throwing her hands up and interrupting Miss. "In your face Bebe! I knew I could do it!"
"Don't make me change my mind, Red." Red flushes and swiftly apologises, causing Bebe to snicker. "Good Witch Of The North: Bebe Stevens. Aunt Em: Wendy Testaburger. Uncle Henry: Kyle Broflovski."
Wendy and Kyle lock eyes, and smile at each other. Beside Wendy, Stan wraps a protective arm around her waist and pulls her against him. Kyle rolls his eyes. Bridon eyes Wendy and Stan with jealousy.
Man, the drama department is so dramatic!
"Now, I've purposely saved Scarecrow until last." Ms. Davis crosses her arms, causing her bangles to clang together. "I found myself staying up late into the night, as did Kevin, pondering this role." Beside me, Craig tenses. "Scarecrow: Tweek Tweak, Craig Tucker."

It makes me laugh at how over exaggerated this is going to be
