Sincerely, Me
Dear Ryan Ross,
what the fuck?
Where were you today?
Dear Brendon Urie,
I was sick today. I literally just woke up, I've been sleeping all day.
Dear Ryan Ross,
Aw, man, fuck, I'm sorry
Dear Brendon Urie,
It's okay
Sincerely, me
"Okay, maybe we take drama class a bit too seriously." Brendon laughed to himself as he read over his and Ryan's text conversation. Ever since they had started talking, the musical reference had somehow made it into each boys auto correct whenever they typed one another's name. Brendon liked sharing that with Ryan, though. Despite it being something from a huge, Broadway show, it was something also just for the two of them.
Suddenly, Brendon's phone lit up with another message.
Dear Brendon Urie,
No fever now, wanna rehearse?
Dear Ryan Ross,
Math test, dude, I'm attempting to get a solid D+
Dear Brendon Urie,
Good luck with that one
Sincerely, me
"See you tomorrow." Brendon smiled at the messages. He was so thankful to have Ryan as a friend...
---
"Slap me, pull my hair!" Brendon sang loudly from the theater stage, "Touch me there and there and there!"
Ryan was lying on the ground, joining back in on the when it was his turn. It was the next day. Things had fallen into their normal chain of events, unlike the previous day.
Brendon had been fairly successful in keeping his gaze away from Kenny and Dallon's smiling and laughing faces as Dallon drew on the shorter boys face. Looked like Dallon had decided to be Jeremy after all.
"That was hot." Ryan grinned up at Brendon.
Brendon winked down at Ryan. He shifted his weight, in order to push himself to his feet and off of Ryan, causing the other boy to flinch with the sharp intake of a breath.
"Woah, you okay?" Brendon asked as he flattened the pattern of his skirt against his legs.
Ryan nodded. "Just a bit sore." He forced a smile, "No biggie."
"Sore?" Brendon questioned, "From what, jacking off?"
"Shut up..." Ryan let out a soft laugh as he rolled onto his side. He remained still for a moment before pushing himself into a sitting up position. When he noticed Brendon's worried gaze, he quickly smiled and flashed a thumbs up. "Round two?"
Brendon grinned, "If you're up for it."
Ryan nodded. "More action this time." As he gathered the trenchcoat that he would use as a pillow, Brendon looked around the theater. Pete was out in the seats, wearing a colonial style coat that was far too big to fit him properly. He attempted to hold a serious expression as Steven's lips moved rapidly and his arms waved back and forth. A few rows away, Alex Gaskarth sat with his legs across Jack Barakat's lap, speaking slowly as he twirled his fringe around his finger. Jack was working on wrapping his other arm up in white bandaging with his tongue sticking out of his mouth.
"Brendon." Ryan was still sat on the ground, holding his stomach. He smiled when Brendon turned his attention to him. "Ready?"
Brendon nodded. He tugged at the jacket that was snuggly fit to his frame before clearing his throat. "The demon queen of high school has decreed it..."
The motions of the song were simple enough, especially without having to climb through an actual window to get to Ryan.
"Veronica?" Ryan regarded Brendon with confusion, "What are you doing in my room?"
Brendon shushed him with a smirk, moving his body close to Ryan's. "Sorry but I really had to wake you... I've decided I must ride you 'till I break you." There was a gleam in Ryan's eyes with the lyrics, but Brendon went on with the song unphased. Before his high note, he put his hand on the back of Ryan's head and pulled him closer. Ryan was immediately attacking Brendon's neck.
"And you know, you know, you know? It's cuz you're beautiful." Brendon pushed Ryan away, letting his thumb trail back and forth over Ryan's cheek as he looked into his wide brown eyes. "You say you're numb inside, but I can't agree..."
As he continued, Brendon brought his other hand against Ryan's other cheek. He watched the smirk cross over Ryan's face as he lead up to his high note.
"That works for me." He barely got the words out before Brendon practically tackled him to the ground.
Ryan winced underneath him, but otherwise remained very much in character. His hands tightened on the back of the purple jacket as Brendon pulled out of the kiss and pulled them into a sitting up position.
"YEA! Full steam ahead, take this dead girl walking!"
"How'd you find my address?"
"Let's break the bed, rock this dead girl walking!"
"I think we tore my mattress!"
Brendon continued his lines with a playful smirk. He loved being in this position with Ryan. It was so fun to be the one in the power position, even if it was just for a role; dictating what actions for Ryan to make and watching him through the eyes of a girl about to lose everything because of a popular girl out for blood made it so much more exciting. It almost made him feel alive.
"Yea!"
"Yea!"
"Yea!"
"OWCH!"
"YEA!"
Brendon fell over with laughter, ending up with his legs crossing over Ryan's torso. He looked at Ryan's face to see him laughing as well, though there was a twitch in his smile.
Footsteps hurried across the stage, somewhere above Brendon's head. "That was great, guys!" Someone exclaimed with a laugh of their own.
Brendon tilted his head up to see Dallon moving quickly across the stage in a dark outfit. His breath caught in his throat as he caught glimpse of a small smile on the taller boy's lips.
"Thanks, Dallon!" Ryan called out as he pushed himself up to an upright position. He cried out, gripping his shirt as he doubled over. Pain overtook his expression as he sucked in a sharp breath.
"Ryan?" Brendon pushed himself up as well, looking worriedly at his friend. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing!" The world came out as a sob. He shook his head, "I-I'm fine."
"Bullshit." Brendon reached out to him, pressing his hand against the other boy's cheek as tears formed in his eyes. "What's wrong?" His voice came across as more stern this time.
Ryan vigorously shook his head. He instead, shakily pushed himself up to his feet. Brendon wanted to help, but he didn't know how or what was wrong.
"Talk to me!" He insisted as Ryan moved to leave the stage, "Is the flu rearing its head again?"
"I've just got to get home."
"You live across town!"
"I'll catch a ride!" Ryan yelled as he vanished into the drama classroom.
Brendon halted his pursuit. If Ryan didn't want to talk about something, it was hard to get through to him. Still, it wasn't like him to push Brendon away like this.
"Is he okay?"
Brendon turned as Dallon walked up next to him. He wore concern on his face as he looked towards the classroom's door.
"I hope..." Brendon frowned. Despite Dallon's closeness, his heart didn't beat as uncontrollably as it usually would.
