all drama club members were gathered at their assembly room of the theatre hall, waiting for their belated teacher to arrive.

"... and that's how i have ended up in detention after punching a girl for being racist and homophobic", haewon ended her story to kill some time. she leaned back in her seat while wearing a lazy smile on her face.

"disclaimer: violence is not good and i don't support violence. don't use violence, kids", the girl with a wolf cut clarified seriously and looked at her group of friends.

"try to solve matters by talking. communication is important! but you know, that brat didn't want to stop but continued saying problematic things PLUS she attacked me first. i have basically defended myself and i did everyone a favor when i threw a fit at her to shut her up", haewon added sighing before chuckling lightly, "those were old times, wow."

"GIRLBOSS", chenle exclaimed with a thumbs-up, earning a soft smile from the female senior.

"girl, i love you for that!!", yejoon commented grinning while chilling on the couch as well, "she has totally deserved that."

"haewon reminds me so much of heejin, a former drama club member. but she was less violent than haewon", donghyuck remarked amusedly while sitting comfortably on the bean bag.

jeno and jaemin gasped loudly at the mention of a former drama club member. "omfg you're so right... and they are both lesbians", the blond haired boy noticed and was mindblown.

the female senior's eyes lit up at that detail. "a lesbian? is she still single?", haewon asked curiously and seemed to be interested.

jaemin shook his head. "nah, she's already taken", the pink haired boy replied, seeing how the older girl feeling dejected.

"oh man, too bad...", haewon mentioned sighing, "why are all hotties always taken?"

"they have rizz compared to you", mark teased smirking and shrugged his shoulders, receiving a glare and a smack from his best friend.

"OUCH, HAEWON. DON'T USE VIOLENCE IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN."

"kids, look away."

"DUDE???"

everyone bursted out into laughter as the banter between the two best friends was too entertaining.

"hey haewon, how often have you already been in detention?", sooyun wondered after they had all calmed down.

"sweetheart, i lost count of it. even mark can approve of it", haewon responded smirking and the canadian senior nodded confirming.

"it's true guys. haewon has often been in detention, especially in her junior year! i had to wait for her to finish detention too many times", mark shared laughing, "she's a real baddie."

"have you already been in detention this year?", jisung inquired curiously while eating snacks that jaemin had gifted him.

"surprisingly, no... not yet, at least. but it amazes me if i'm honest. i would've normally been in detention in the first month of the school year but i guess this time is different", the female senior replied casually and let out some chuckles.

before haewon could share another detention story of hers, the door opened and their teacher entered the room. all drama club members stood up to greet her before taking their seats again.

"hello, my beloved students! today we will continue practicing for our winter play", mrs. cha announced enthusiastically and heard her students cheering.

"however, before we start to practice, i have a little surprise or should i say... a special guest!", the older woman added with a bright smile before turning to the door, "sweetie pie, you can come in!"

the door opened once again, revealing a new girl behind it. well, not quite new as sone people already knew her but her appearance still surprised everyone.

haewon's and sooyun's eyes widened in disbelief as they spotted the special guest entering the room.

"IT'S YOU?!", the female club members exclaimed surprisedly at the same time, resulting jeno to feel creeped out again.

"WHY ARE YOU SAYING THE SAME THING AT THE SAME TIME AGAIN?? WHAT ARE THE ODDS FOR IT TO HAPPEN EVERY SINGLE TIME??", the blonde haired boy complained in shock, causing the other club members to burst out into laughter.

"hi girls!", the new girl greeted the females with a sweet smile before noticing the males. "oh! and hi guys!", she added happily and waved at them.

haewon was staring at her in shock and mesmerisation while her heart was pounding quickly. the female senior couldn't help but admire the younger girl in front of her.

haewon loved her good sense of fashion. the younger girl had a cute style, making the senior be more interested in her.

some strings of her long black hair were hanging loosely in her face. haewon had to resist the urge to brush her loose strings out of her gorgeous face.

her gummy smile was the sweetest and prettiest one haewon had ever seen. hearing her gentle and soothing voice made her feel calm but nervous at the same time.

haewon felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach when her soft and pure eyes were locked with hers, causing her heart to skip a beat.

something about jieun was so dreamy and graceful.

the way jieun was flashing smiles and was beaming brightly made haewon softer for the junior. oh dear, she was whipped for the younger girl.

"wait a minute", jaemin started and drew everyone's attention. "haewon, sooyun... you two know jieun?", he inquired in confusion.

"yeah, jieun and i have lots of classes together", sooyun explained and the mentioned girl nodded in approval.

"i see...", the pink haired boy responded before glancing between haewon and jieun, "what about you guys?"

"she has helped me a lot when i had to carry heavy stuff", the female junior answered on behalf of haewon who was currently overwhelmed with the whole situation and thus, couldn't answer right away. nonetheless, she managed to nod in agreement.

"what about you, jaem? you know her too?", renjun questioned curiously as jaemin had already known her name despite her having not introduced herself yet.

"yeah, jieun is mrs. cha's niece and she has helped us design our costumes last year", the pink haired boy replied happily, "i think hyuck has once mentioned it in the group chat if i'm not mistaken."

"ooooh", it made sense now to renjun and the rest of the group who did not know jieun before.

"what a tiny world!", donghyuck mentioned snickering and everyone agreed with him.

"let me introduce myself to those who don't know me yet", jieun began and put on an adorable smile (haewon melted at her sight).

"hi, i'm cha jieun and i'm also known as the niece of your teacher mrs. cha. i'm in my junior year and i've already helped out in the drama club last year. i'm glad to announce that i will help with the costumes again this year!", the girl with long, black hair commented and bowed down, "i hope we all get along! i'm looking forward working with you!"

"damn, jieun. you don't need to be this polite", hyuck chuckled before giving her a sweet smile, "but we're happy to work with you too. thanks for helping us out!"

while jeno, donghyuck and jaemin were catching up with jieun (since they knew each other for a longer time but hadn't had the chance before to talk again), haewon couldn't get her eyes off the younger girl.

"dude, you're drooling...", mark whispered jokingly and glanced amusedly at his best friend. hearing these words and seeing that teasing look of the canadian snapped haewon back to reality.

"huh? what? no?", the female senior denied quickly and observed how the older boy grinned mischievously.

"stop smiling like a creep, mark shark", haewon stated and tried to play it off. however, the inner gay panic didn't let her seem as casual and cool as she wanted to be.

"says the one who smiles like a fool and is the biggest and most obvious gay panic ass here", mark exposed her and earned a smack on his arm from his best friend.

"oUCH! DAMN, IT'S OBVIOUS THAT YOU'RE DOWN BA-"

haewon quickly shut her best friend up, worried that jieun had heard all the stuff mark blurted out.

"one word and i will-"

the girl with long black hair happened to turn around to them, causing haewon to quickly pull away but wrap her arm around the canadian's shoulders.

"-buy you a watermelon!", the female with a wolf cut finished her sentence, not only putting on an act but also a little smile.

"omg, really??", mark questioned excitedly while his eyes widened in surprise, he was literally beaming at her words.

"no, dumbass", his best friend answered quietly and scrunched her nose, observing how the light in mark's eyes vanished the second she said that.

"aw, man...", the male senior responded sulking and looked down in disappointment.

jieun witnessed the bickering between them and couldn't help but giggle in amusement.

haewon's heart warmed up when she heard the younger girl chuckling. she couldn't help but smile softly at her.

for rehearsal and practice they moved to the auditorium of the theatre hall so that the club members can get used on performing on stage.

in the meanwhile, jieun was working on the designs of the outifts for the play. she sat in one of the seats of the auditorium  while drawing in her sketch book and being totally focused on it.

haewon used this opportunity to steal glances at her but immediately looked away when jieun was staring in her direction. (she didn't get caught!)

"let's rehearse scene one again! i'd need yejoon and jaemin to come", mrs. cha ordered and clapped her hands to draw everyone's attention.

the pink haired boy went up on stage, accompanied by the sophomore. however, yejoon noticed how stiff and tense his friend was, assumingly due to the last stage incident.

"hey cotton candy boy", the curly brown haired guy began softly and glanced at the older boy's eyes. "don't be nervous! everything is going to be okay", yejoon cheered him up and put his hand on his shoulder as a sign of reassurance. a sweet smile was displayed on his lips, hoping to help his friend be at ease.

jaemin's heart skipped a beat at his encouraging words and sudden touch, making him feel more nervous than before and yet, feel comforted by him. he was grateful to have yejoon by his side.

"thanks a lot, yejoon", the pink haired boy flashed him his prominent smile, causing the sophomore to scream internally at his cuteness.

"let's get on our positions, cotton candy boy. we got this!", yejoon mentioned cheerfully. the latter nodded his head as they got ready for the scene.

fortunately, the first drama club session after the stage incident went smoothly. relief was washed over everyone's faces once they ended successfully today's session.

no one got hurt or harmed, well not yet at least.
