the school week had passed by in a blink of second and it was friday once again. one lesson held them apart from leaving school and being welcomed by the weekend (not the artist).

"ugh, we have biology class now", donghyuck grunted in annoyance and sat down in biology hall, "it's sooo boring."

"come on, bro. it's not that bad", jaemin defended chuckling while taking a seat next to him.

"says the one who likes biology and scores good grades in that subject", the purple haired boy mentioned sassily and raised his eyebrow.

"at least we are in the same class, hyuck", jeno commented cheerfully and sat next to pinky pie, uh i meant jaemin.

"that's the only good thing about biology classes", the purple haired boy responded sighing and took his materials out of his bag.

"well, that's not the only good thing", the oldest of the trio announced smirking, causing donghyuck to be confused.

"huh? what other good things are there?", the latter questioned in confusion and observed how both his best friends grinned from ear to ear.

he knew something was up when they acted that suspicious.

however, hyuck couldn't think any further as he felt two hands covering his eyes.

"hi dummy", someone greeted from him, making him jolt in surprise. the purple haired boy could immediately recognise the familiar, gentle voice.

his cheeks turned pink as he noticed how close she was to him and how soft her touch was.

"sooyun??", hyuck called out in shock and felt her hands being removed from his eyes. he turned around to lock eyes with the blonde girl who was grinning widely.

donghyuck wished that no one noticed his blush and how flustered he was right now. however, his wish wasn't granted and he could already hear his best friends giggling, ready to tease him later in their groupchat.

"i'm so confused right now... why are you here in our biology class?", he asked right away and watched her sitting on the empty seat next to him.

"my former biology teacher has retired last week and since we have a shortage of teachers right now, my classmates and i had to split up in other biology classes", she explained calmly while taking her materials out of her bag.

"now i'm in your class", sooyun elaborated and put on a bright smile, "i'm lucky that i got in the same course as you guys!"

"we too", jaemin answered and mirrored her smile before he turned to hyuck. "oh and we knew in advance but sooyun wanted to keep it a secret so that she can surprise you", the pink haired male confessed amusedly.

"ooooh, i see", donghyuck responded mindblown and finally connected the dots, "so that means sooyun will be in our biology class from now on?"

"yes, that's correct", the blonde girl confirmed before changing the subject, "i have eavesdropped earlier and you don't like biology?"

her pretend boyfriend nodded in approval. "it's lame to me", he answered honestly, "what's your opinion?"

"i like it", she responded smiling and jaemin gave her an approved thumbs-up (which made jeno wheeze in the background).

"but it won't be lame anymore when you have us", sooyun claimed and winked at him, causing donghyuck to feel flustered.

was that just a playful and jokingly wink or a flirty one? hyuck wants to find that out so bad but he doesn't want to ask — there is no way he will.

the steps of his teachers brought him back into reality, signalising that the lesson had started with his arrival.

sooyun was right. donghyuck had actually enjoyed today's biology class. probably because they were all messing around the whole class instead of paying attention to class (and they didn't get caught!).

sooyun and hyuck were having the most fun. they exchanged silly little notes and were goofying around. it felt like they were in their own little world.

due to distraction donghyuck didn't notice that class was over until his teacher announced that.

"class is over, you may dismi—", the bell rang loudly and interrupted the teacher in the middle of his sentence. "that crusty ass bell", he cursed under his breath before quickly packing his stuff.

"you may dismiss now. have a great weekend", he wished sighing before leaving hurriedly the biology hall — he was definitely done with work.

"huh? class is already over?", hyuck wondered and was taken aback. his gaze shifted to his friends who were all nodding in reply.

"LET'S GOOO, CAN'T WAIT FOR WEEKEND TO COME", he exclaimed loudly and jumped from his seat in exhilaration.

everyone chuckled at the enthusiastic, cheerful boy before standing up and packing their stuff as well

while jeno and sooyun were busy packing and talking to each other, the pink haired boy turned grinning to his friend.

"how was biology class? not that bad, right?", jaemin asked curiously with a hint of tease, nudging his best friend with his elbow.

"yeah, not bad", donghyuck answered casually and tried to shrug it off, pretending that it was no big deal. however, he couldn't help but smile when he glanced at sooyun since she was mainly the one who made the whole lesson entertaining.

even though donghyuck was happy and relieved that biology class was over and that weekend was about to start, there was a part of him that felt sad that the class had already come to an end.

he wanted to spend more time with sooyun as she made him happy and laugh a lot. the time flew by so fast when he was with her.

but at least he was looking forward to the next classes with his friends, particularly art and biology classes.

"hey hyuck", jeno called out and drew his friend's attention. "hm? what's up?", the purple haired boy replied and stared lost at him.

"jaem and i are going ahead", the blond haired boy stated and jaemin nodded confirming.

"sooyun and you can do your fake couple thingy so that the guy believes you. i saw him being in the classroom next to ours", the pink haired boy suggested but couldn't hide his smile.

donghyuck chuckled at his comment but was internally feeling super shy. "thanks for being considerate, guys", sooyun added before linking arms with hyuck and facing him.

"let's do our fake couple thing", she suggested smirking, causing the older boy to be more flustered. he didn't expect her to do such bold moves but he wasn't complaining, he kind of liked that new side of her.

meanwhile, jeno and jaemin were exchanging meaningful looks while grinning from ear to ear. "we'll go now. see you around", jeno announced amusedly and went ahead.

"have a great weekend, guys", jaemin wished them and winked playfully at donghyuck before leaving the room.

"these guys", the purple haired boy sighed while shaking his head laughing, "let's go, shall we?"

sooyun hummed in response before they exited the biology hall. they passed by the classroom where geon, the annoying guy, was. he was boiling silently when he spotted them together, causing the pretend couple to giggle in mischief.

they were on their way out of the school building, having a conversation about a random topic when they heard two girls gossiping loudly outside.

therefore, they stopped in their tracks as they wanted to eavesdrop their conversation.

"whaaaat?! he did that?! i thought he wouldn't be that type of guy", one girl expressed in shock.

"yeah, same! he seems like an innocent and kind guy but the rumors about him say otherwise", the other girl added, "it's shocking to see how twisted a person can be. i have never expected that he would be like that... him out of all people..."

"so true. he is actually so handsome but what he's doing is just not it... such a waste", the first girl stated sighing.

"yeah... but it's insane how the rumors about him are spreading quickly like wildfire... i guess these rumors will damage his reputation since he's quite popular", the second girl commented.

"i wonder who they are talking about", donghyuck whispered to his pretend girlfriend before one of the girls answered unintentionally his question.

"you mean the pink haired boy from drama club, right? the handsome junior?", the first girl asked once again.

hyuck's eyes widened in shock as he turned to look at sooyun who was also as surprised as him.

"they are talking about jaemin...", the purple haired boy muttered quietly in disbelief.
