after the spotlight incident had occured, jaemin hadn't done a lot after school except for laying in his bed and thinking.

a lot of thinking. too much thinking. slightly overanalysing.

he tried to recover from the incident, however, his mind didn't let him.

the pink haired boy had been trying to figure out what the motive of the culprit could have been and who that culprit could be.

if sooyun's theory was true and let's assume someone of the drama club was behind all of the attacks, then who could it be? and why would they do that to him? why would they take it so far that jaemin was in serious danger?

however, the pink haired male had to consider the possibility that all events are coincidental and have no connection at all.

jaemin stared tiredly at the ceiling before sighing in desperation and sitting up. "this is so messed up", he mumbled to himself while his hand ran through his hair.

before he could lose himself in his trains of thoughts again, he heard the doorbell ringing, followed by loud, rapid knocks on the door.

his eyebrow arched at the sounds. jaemin jumped off of his bed and left his room, heading towards the entrance of his home. as soon as he opened the door, he was welcomed by his two best friends.

"surprise bro", jeno greeted happily and showed his beautiful eye smile.

"took you long enough, jaem", donghyuck mentioned playfully and grinned teasingly.

jaemin was surprised by the unexpected visit of them, nevertheless, a soft smile was plastered on his lips.

"hi bros", the pink haired boy greeted back and stepped aside to let them in.

"why are you guys here? and why didn't you text me before?", he asked curiously, closing the door behind them.

"aren't we allowed to visit you?", the purple haired male asked dramatically while taking off his shoes.

"jeno is but you aren't", jaemin replied jokingly and observed his friend gasping offended while jeno let out chuckles.

"i will tell your mom", hyuck muttered sulking, giving him a glare. "she's not home", the pink haired boy explained laughing, "she's at work."

"what a shame. it would've been nice to talk to her again because i've missed your mom", donghyuck added and now the younger one was gasping.

"you missed her but not me?", jaemin inquired dramatically and pretended to be hurt. "obviously", hyuck replied mischievously, sticking his tongue out.

"anyways, imma take it from here before the conversation is escalating", the blonde and oldest boy among them mentioned snickering.

"the actual reason why we're here is to not let you alone. we want to be your emotional support since the whole situation might be overwhelming for you. it might be hard to process and handle it all on yourself", jeno explained sweetly, resulting jaemin's heart to warm up at the thoughtfulness of his friends.

"aww bros", the pink haired guy smiled brightly and pulled his best friends into a big, warm group hug.

"you guys are the best", he added sincerely before releasing them. "i'm already aware, thank you", donghyuck commented with a proud grin, causing jaemin to roll his eyes in annoyance.

"by the way, it was hyuck's idea to visit you in surprise because he was worried about you", the blonde revealed boldly while a devilish grin apppeared on his lips.

"JENO, DON'T EXPOSE ME. YOU FAKE ASS", donghyuck yelled dramatically in betrayal and smacked slightly his arm, hearing jeno chuckle mischievously.

"aww, no need to be shy. you love me, don't you?", jaemin teased him but the purple haired guy denied it and made gagging sounds.

"anyways, we have something for you", hyuck announced and tried to change the subject. "cena, show jaem the product", he ordered and saw how jeno sighed tiredly at the nickname and yet, did as told.

the blonde boy grabbed something from his bag and revealed a cup of ice cream which brand was replaced by a sticker with the words 'jen & hyuckie's' on it.

jaemin covered his mouth with his hand in shock and glanced at the cup of ice cream, then to his best friends.

"no way", the pink haired boy gasped in disbelief. "that's such a creative and brilliant idea", he praised smiling and took the cup of ice cream in his hands, "i love you guys. this literally made my day."

"glad to hear that", jeno flashed him a lovely smile and donghyuck couldn't hide his grin as well.

"bros let's watch a movie in the living room while eating ice cream. you guys can go first while i get some spoons", the pink haired boy suggested energetically and his friends agreed excitedly.

"i will choose a movie!", donghyuck claimed proudly and ran off first.

"choose a good one, i don't want to fall asleep again unlike the last time you chose something", jeno commented teasingly and followed him.

"you can count on me, babe!", the purple haired boy yelled from the living room, causing the youngest among them to giggle.

oh, how grateful jaemin was that his friends came by to see him. he was utterly happy and lucky to have them. they were his joy and distracted him from negative thoughts. they meant the world to jaemin.

they could never be behind of all attacks, could they?

how's everyone doing?

it has snowed so much today in my area and i'm soooo happy about it. i played with snow with my friends and we built a snowdinosaur together 🤞
i have also built a snowduck and it was so sweet #proudparent
