after reading jisung's heartbreaking messages, chenle dropped everything and stood up quickly from his seat. this action drew the attention of his classmates as all eyes were on him now.

"excuse me, mrs. kang. i need to go to the restroom", chenle exclaimed with a raised hand. his teacher turned around to face him, an eyebrow was arched. "it's really urgent", the sophomore added in hurry.

"in the middle of class? it's important what we're doing right now so i advise you to stay here for a few minutes", she answered strictly, causing the orange haired boy to be in annoyance.

"excuse me but do you want me to poop myself in my pants and embarrass myself in front of everyone?? that the whole class and i stink?? do you want to take my right away to RELIEVE myself??", chenle snapped recklessly.

the sophomore didn't care that he might ruin his reputation with his teacher. the only thing that was on his mind was jisung.

his classmates gasped loudly at chenle's bold and brave comments. some started to whisper, some began to give the teacher judgemental looks while others covered their mouths with their hands in disbelief.

"that's not what i have meant, chenle", mrs. kang tried to calm the younger boy down. "besides, you don't need to raise your voice, young man. i don't like your attitude", she pointed out and gave him a cold and annoyed look.

"sorry that you don't like my attitude but how else should i react when you restrict me to go to the restroom??", the orange haired boy fired back and rolled his eyes.

"i don't give a shit anymore but i'm going to take a shit now", chenle stated boldly and harshly and stormed out of the classroom.

"ZHONG CHENLE, GET BACK HERE!", his teacher yelled after him but the younger boy didn't listen to her.

jisung was his priority in that moment, he couldn't care less about school or teachers right now.

chenle headed hurriedly to the restroom in which his best friend was waiting for him. he pushed the door open and glanced at the toilette stalls.

his eyes landed on the locked door in the corner of the restroom. chenle didn't waste any time as he ran instantly towards that stall.

his previous anger and annoyance vanished and were replaced by sadness and worries when he heard jisung's sobs.

"ji?", he called out in a soft tone and knocked lightly on the door. "you're not alone. i'm here", chenle expressed caringly, reminding his best friend that he was always there for him.

the doorknob turned and jisung opened slowly the door. his eyes were puffed from crying while his body was weak and exhausted from the anxiety attack. even though he was a tall boy, he seemed to be so fragile and vulnerable in the moment.

seeing his best friend being in that state; having cried his soul out and suffered a break down was utterly devastating and tore his heart in endless pieces.

chenle knelt down and glanced softly at the younger boy before wiping his tears away. "it's okay jisung", he muttered gently and embraced him into a warm hug.

jisung wrapped his arms around his best friend and cried onto his shoulder. he was relieved that chenle was there for him; that he could lean onto him and trust him.

"you tried your best", the orange haired boy comforted softly and patted the back of his best friend, feeling how the younger one squeezed him lightly.

"it's alright", he reassured quietly, never wanting to let him go but to stay on his side.

"jisung?", the school nurse called out, drawing jisung's attention. "there is a group of nine students who wants to visit you", she informed which caused the ash haired boy to beam.

"my friends", the younger one replied and his mouth curved into a warm smile. the nurse mirrored his facial expression before letting the large group in.

"JISUNG MY BABY", jaemin exclaimed dramatically and ran towards him before giving him a tackled hug.

the youngest of the group chuckled softly and hugged him back. "i'm alright, jaemin", he answered sweetly and let go of him.

"here are some candies as promised", the pink haired boy stated and revealed the sweets he had carried with him.

"you have worked hard so you deserve them", jaemin plastered a warm smile on his face before giving him the sweet goods.

jisung's eyes lit up and his smile grew wider as he embraced the older boy once again, telling him his thanks.

after they let go of each other, mark approached him with a lovely smile. "don't be hard on yourself, okay? you did your best", the older boy mentioned and ruffled his ash hair. the youngest nodded and a corner of his mouth lifted.

afterwards haewon, chenle and donghyuck gave the youngest of the crew a group hug while the rest of the group told him encouraging and comforting words.

they spent their lunch break together by chatting with each other and breaking into laughter's because of each other's jokes.

unfortunately, the lunch break was too short for them and everyone had to go to their classes. they bid their goodbyes amd gave the youngest hugs before heading to the classrooms. the orange haired boy was the last one to leave.

"take care of yourself, ji. oh and if something happens, then text me right away. okay?", chenle noted and tilted slightly his head.

"will do and the same goes to you too", jisung responded with a sheepish smile. his best friend cracked a smile and made his ash hair messy before he had to go.

"bye bye. see you tomorrow and text me when you're home", chenle waved him goodbye and stepped out of the room, leaving jisung and the nurse alone.

"you have made good friends", the woman mentioned and smiled warmly at him. "i hope you stay friends with them for a long time", she continued, causing jisung to be off guard.

"i hope so too", he answered genuinely, the corner of his mouth turned up at the thought of his friends who made him feel comfortable and safe.
