after classes had ended for everyone, the drama club members had gathered at the backstage room of the theatre hall, waiting for their teacher to arrive.

in the meanwhile, some of them used the time to recite their texts or practice certain scenes.

those who didn't go through their script once again were either talking to someone else or consuming snacks.

jisung wanted to rehearse his text, however, he was too nervous to do so. his body was trembling uncontrollably and his thoughts were an absolute chaos.

chenle noticed the abnormal shaking of his friend's body and gave him a worried look. he took his hand in his and put his other hand on jisung's shoulder.

"everything is gonna be alright, ji", the orange haired boy commented softly and looked him into the eyes, trying to comfort him.

"let's do breathing exercises like we've practiced before, okay?", chenle continued with a warm smile while giving his hand a soft squeeze.

jisung nodded and felt comforted by his best friend's words and smile. afterwards, they did breathing exercises together which aim to reduce the stress and nervosity of the youngest.

focusing on his breath and having chenle by his side made him feel less nervous, he was less tense by now.

"good afternoon, dear students!", a cheerful female voice sounded, gaining everyone's attention.

the teacher had entered the room and welcomed the drama club members with a huge smile.

"you guys had to fill out the sheet with your strengths and weaknesses. please hand them in, i'd like to get to know you guys better!", she asked kindly and everyone did as told.

"before you perform, let's move to the auditorium of the theatre hall", mrs. cha mentioned with a huge smile on her lips.

"so that you can act on a real stage", she added winking and went ahead.

the students were following her along with their equipment which they needed for their performances.

their excitement grew with every step they took, however, their breath was taken at the sight of the auditorium as soon as they entered it.

the hall was enormous and so was the stage. several spotlights were hanging above the stage, giving the performing space perfect lightning.

the walls were painted in beige while the floor was purely dark grey. the numerous crimson red seats were arranged in rows and had an awesome view of the stage.

"yoooo, dude that's impressive", mark commented amazedly when he scanned his surroundings.

"bruh how come we haven't seen this part of the theatre hall?", haewon questioned confusedly and raised an eyebrow.

"well, jisung and i had a tour through the hall, guided by jaemin", chenle bragged grinning.

"biased boooo", yejoon replied jokingly and showed him a thumbs-down.

"no but like, half of us has never seen the auditorium and we have never questioned that", renjun pointed out laughing.

"yeah, true. we were so busy preparing for our play that we forgot about these things", sooyun agreed chuckling.

"oh dear, that's very true. i'll give you a tour when we have finished with the plays", mrs. cha mentioned laughing before she stopped walking.

"soooo, who wants to start first? are you performing alone, in pairs or in groups?", the teacher inquired curiously and turned around to face the students.

"we have split up in two groups and each group potrays a different story", mark answered excitedly.

"indeed", hyuck approved, a grin was gracing his lips. "may my group start?", he questioned politely and received a nod from the teacher.

donghyuck, haewon, jeno, sooyun, chenle and jisung stood up and went up to the stage while the rest sat down on the fancy seats of the auditorium.

the purple haired boy turned to face the audience and cleared his throat before continuing to speak.

"today we present you cinderella."
