"IT'S YOU!", donghyuck and jaemin yelled at the same time, the purple haired boy was pointing at the girl while the younger one pointed at the new boy.

"who??", renjun wondered confusedly while irritation was written on mark and haewon's faces.

"you remember me, cotton candy boy!!", the boy chuckled amusedly when jaemin pointed at him.

"wow! i guess you guys know each other?", mrs. cha questioned surprisedly, receiving a nod from them as reply.

"we have met them all when we were distributing our flyers to promote the club", jaemin answered excitedly and cracked a smile.

"ohhh, i see", the woman nodded. "however, please introduce yourselves", her eyes were directed on the newbies and she motioned with her hand for them to start.

they nodded and the boy with brown, curly hair cleared his throat before introducing himself.

"hello, i'm yejoon", he flashed them a smile. "i'm a sophomore and i like acting! well... i have never tried acting though but it seems to be cool. i also like dogs, music, rainbows and uhh...", he blurted out randomly. "yeah, that's it. thanks for listening to my ted talk."

everyone started to laugh at his last statement before they dedicated their attention to the girl with dyed blonde hair.

"hi, i'm sooyun and i'm in my junior year and i love acting! acting is my passion and i've always been interested in theatre", she shared excitedly, genuine joy was written on her face.

"i truly enjoy watching plays and being an actress myself! besides, i like sweet and bitter things", the blonde introduced herself and showed them a lovely smile.

her smile made hyuck's heart warm, seeing her brought him joy but also sorrow. moments were recalled in his mind when she left him on read and didn't bother to reply to his messages. now she bothers to show up without telling him.

"we're glad to have you two!", the teacher mentioned sweetly after their introductions.

"before we start with the drama club session, i need to get my sheets which are in my office", she informed her students and turned to the door.

"in the meanwhile, you can get to know each other better! i'll be right back", mrs. cha suggested before leaving the room.

"WELCOME NEW MEMBERS", chenle exclaimed delightedly and clapped excitedly.

"WASSUP UH-", yejoon stopped and realised that he didn't know any of their names. "yo, what are your names?" and with that, everyone started to introduce themselves.

afterwards, jaemin started to talk to the new recruits and explained them some things about the drama club since yejoon had some questions.

"hey hyuck", chenle whispered, catching the attention of the purple haired boy. "is that sooyun, the girl you talked about in our groupchat?" donghyuck nodded and sighed deeply. he didn't know what to think of her.

"hey, donghyuck", a female voice sounded, making the purple haired boy look up to the person who approached him. "sooyun?"

"can we talk?", she requested with a little smile.

"baby, i'm not even here. i'm just hallunication", chenle quoted a famous meme before disappearing aka running to the others in order to leave them alone.

"what a goofy boy", hyuck chuckled about the crackhead energy of his friend. sooyun smiled softly before she started to speak.

"i wanted to apologize for not answering your texts... it was just... that i ghost sometimes people when i don't feel well and i intend not to tell them", she clarified with fidgeting hands and looked into his eyes. "i hope you are not mad."

donghyuck nodded and understood the struggle of her. "that's alright. i understand it", his lips tugged into a warm smile.

"but it would be nice if you could at least tell me when you don't feel like replying or that you don't have time or the energy for that. i won't be mad if you tell me that", he added kindly and reassuringly.

sooyun was relieved to hear these words and gave him a bright smile. "thank you for your understanding."

"don't mention it", hyuck responded shyly and put his hand on the back of his neck. he was so glad that she clarified the situation and he understood her reason why she did that.

"i hope we all get along!", jaemin smiled fondly and glanced at the members. "i'm so excited what this school year awaits for us!"

"me too, dear students, me too", mrs. cha pulled a haewon move and popped off randomly out of nowhere, surprising everyone.

"huh, mrs. cha?? we didn't hear you coming into the room", mark stated confusedly. the woman smiled in amusement before saying 'it's magic' as an answer.

"anyways, let me tell you about the plans for the drama club for this school year", mrs. cha began, took a seat at her desk and clapped in excitement.

"we'll have two plays this year. a winter play and a play at the end of the school year. the winter play is rather a small thing compared to the play at the end of the school year", she proceeded to tell with a smile on her face.

jisung's eyes widened at the thought, it seemed as he saw his life flashing alone at the thought.

"the winter play will be presented in front of the whole school. the play at the end of the school year, let's call it summer play for short, will not only be held in front of all students but also in front of parents, visitors, friends of students and even agencies and sponsors!", mrs. cha announced happily.

jisung wanted to faint at this point but chenle kept him alive by giving him support, strength and sweets.

"some of the former club members got noticed by agencies because of the play and now they are in america, pursuing their acting dream!", she stated and smiled proudly like a mom.

"woahhh, that's cool!", yejoon expressed amazedly. "indeed", the teacher nodded in approval.

"you can decide what you want to play for the summer play but i'll decide the act of the winter play", she explained while sipping on the tea she brought with her.

after taking a sip, she put her cup on the table before looking back at the group. "any questions?"

renjun raised his hand. "when is the winter play?", he asked curiously. "right before winter holidays begin. the winter play is more like a christmas play which we have every year", she answered and the chinese nodded nonchalantly.

"how are you going to give the roles?", haewon inquired confusedly. "you don't even know how we act."

mrs. cha smiled warmly and took the cup of tea again. "glad you asked, haewon", she took another sip before placing it back on the table.

"i have a task for everyone. write down your strengths and weaknesses about yourself, especially in acting. i want to get to know you better and have an impression on how you see yourself", the woman responded, stood up and handed out blank sheets.

"if you're finished with this task, then you have to think of an own act or roleplay. you can do this alone, with partners or even in groups", she instructed while distributing pens and pencils to the students.

"you can either make up an act or take over an existing play. whatever floats your boat", the woman mentioned and sat down after handing out the materials.

"however, try to think of representing a character which suits you the best. don't play the villain when you are actually better acting as the hero for example", she added and grabbed her cup again.

"you can also have more than one role in your play if you insist. it's not necassary but it would be an advantage as you can show various sides of yours."

the woman took another sip from her drink. "it might happen that some of you don't want to perform and you don't have to in the school plays! nevertheless, i want you to perform in the drama club because i want to see your acting and your potential", she explained and flashed a smile to the group of students.

"everyone can act, you just need the courage and faith in yourself. i know every single one of you can do it", mrs. cha encouraged her students and gave them a cheerful smile.

"any questions? if not, then enjoy and have fun creating and practicing your play! you have time until the next session, there you have to present", she drank a bit from her tea. "i'm looking forward to your little plays."

"i'm doomed", jisung thought. "so doomed."
