"wait! no, please!", jaemin exclaimed before jumping off the couch. "jeno, take care of hyuck", he said, glancing at the two of them. "will do, go after renjun", the blonde complied nodding as the pink haired guy started to sprint out of the room.

"why are you helping him?? he doesn't deserve to be in our club", hyuck shouted after jaemin but the latter ignored his comment.

jeno stood up and approached his best friend who was filled with anger and rage. "bro, let's calm down, okay?", he suggested peacefully and placed his hands on his shoulders.

"how can i stay calm when he literally blamed me for everything AND insulted me??", the enraged boy asked his friend and wanted to free himself from his grasp.

"i know that you're angry but please, calm down. being angry isn't going to help you any further", jeno uttered softly and looked into his eyes.

hyuck glanced back but couldn't stay angry any longer when he stared back at his friend. he heaved a deep sigh as his tense shoulders slowly dropped.

jeno gave him a lovely, warm smile and suggested to sit down to fully calm down and get rid of his rage. they did as advised and they sat down on the bean bags.

after hyuck was sort of calm, he started to rant to his friend how he disliked the boy and how rude his behaviour was.

he also hated the fact that it was renjun from all the people who wanted to join the club and expressed the dilemma with lacking members but he didn't want the hatred boy to join too.

"ugh, why is it like that?? why is that happening? i hate everything", the purple haired boy groaned in annoyance and hid his face in his palms.

"life can be challenging... and a bitch. but you should make the best out of it! i know that your first encounter with him wasn't that nice but it was an unlucky situation and you don't know him yet! he might be different from what you think he is. give him a chance so you get to know him better and then you can judge how his true persona is", the blonde stated, showing how mature he can be.

"your feelings and impressions you have towards him now might be temporary and it can change anytime", jeno answered calmly and tugged his lips into a soft smile.

hyuck looked up to him and raised his eyebrow, he wasn't really convinced that this would be happen.

"yeah, enemies to friends", a deep voice commented amusedly, drawing the attention from jeno and hyuck. they turned their heads towards the person who said that.

"sorry, i've eavesdropped you guys and your friends told me about the situation. sorry that i got involved in your business", the pizza boy apologized with a shy smile.

he was sitting on the couch next to chenle and jisung who were eating a slice of the pizza. the two youngest boys gave the two older members an apologetic smile for spilling a stranger the tea.

"but i've pizza for you and you guys get a discount from me everytime you order pizza from me. my friend owns the pizza place i work at and just tell him that you know a guy named johnny", the tall male offered with a smirk on his lips.

hyuck pursed his lips into a grin as he complied nodding. "okay, deal. but don't tell anyone about the drama happening here, jaemin hates it when people spread personal things about him or his friends", the purple haired boy stated, johnny nodded understood.

"now give us some pizza slices, i'm starving", he demanded and received two slices of pizzas, giving one to his friend and keeping the other for himself.

while eating his piece of pizza, he thought about the words jeno said. he might have a point.

"oh dear, sorry for showing up so late! i'm always so late, right?", a woman chuckled when she entered the room. however, she stopped giggling when she saw a random guy being in the backstage room (which is also the assembly room for drama club meetings).

"can someone explain me what's going on—"

jaemin ran after renjun who was quicker than he thought. "what the fuck, why is he so fast? he's legit flash."

the pink haired guy finally kept up with the chinese, placing his hand on his shoulder in order to stop him. "yo... why... are you so fast?", jaemin asked panting, trying to catch his breath.

renjun turned around to face the exhausted male. he was truly surprised to see the pink haired boy, he didn't hear him running as he was lost in thoughts about the whole situation.

the two-toned haired male let out soft chuckles. "why did you run after me?", he asked with a little smile, his anger grew smaller the longer he looked at him.

he couldn't tell why but something of jaemin was so peaceful and soothing that made him cool down and forget all the bad things.

"my mom told me to follow my dreams so i followed you", he answered grinning, in an attempt to lit up the mood and saw how his words made the older boy flustered. renjun was caught off guard by this cringey but yet funny and charming pick-up line.

the pink haired guy giggled at his reaction. "nah, i'm just joking", he laughed. "that was so cheesy from you", the chinese chuckled in amusement while shaking his head, causing jaemin to smile in relief as his attempt worked out.

"anyways, please don't give us up", the younger one pleaded. renjun raised his eyebrows, giving him the chance to hear him out.

"i actually think you're a great fit for our club and you seem really nice. even though i don't know you yet, i do think so!", the pink haired boy expressed sincerely.

"i know that's not very professional from me — but we really need new members and you are one of our last hopes. i hope you reconsider your decision because i'd love to see you there", he ended his speech with a little, hopeful smile.

the chinese thought for some moments before speaking. "but... what about your friend? i'm not really on good terms with him so i think he doesn't want to have me in your club", renjun explained his dilemma and a deep sigh left his throat.

"i don't really like the feeling of being a misfit or feeling out of place...", he added quietly and looked down on his feet, not daring to look in the younger's eyes.

"hey, i'll talk to him about this and i think it was just an unlucky first impression which happened at the wrong timing and resulted misunderstandings. don't you think so?", jaemin inquired calmly and placed his hand on the chinese's shoulder.

renjun looked up to him as their eyes met, causing him to lose himself in them for a moment. "wait, what."

"uhm... yeah, you're right", he agreed as he came back into reality, tugging his lips into a little smile. "i'll think about it but thanks for coming all the way for me", the chinese thanked him softly before turning his back to him. "see you around", he added before walking away.

jaemin's lips formed a soft smile. "until next time." he continued to look after the shorter boy until he turned around a corner and disappeared from his sight, leaving the pink haired boy alone with little hopes.
